And on the Eighth Day, God Said, ‘Everybody Should Buy Evan Sayet’s Book’
Posted on | March 9, 2024 | Comments Off on And on the Eighth Day, God Said, ‘Everybody Should Buy Evan Sayet’s Book’
“Not liking something doesn’t mean that that something doesn’t exist. If it did, then there’d be no such thing as a Jennifer Aniston movie.”
— Evan Sayet, from his new book
Ten years ago, I credited Evan Sayet with having written “the most important book since Johannes Gutenberg invented movable type,” and now he’s topped even that achievement with his comprehensive demolition of the Darwinian worldview, Magic Soup, Typing Monkeys, And Horny Aliens From Outer Space: The Patently Absurd Wholly Unsubstantiated and Extravagantly Failed Atheist Origin Myth.
Evan and I go way back. It was at CPAC 2007 that I was wandering through the lobby of the Omni Shoreham Hotel after midnight and happened upon Evan in the company of a fellow I recognized, Andrew Breitbart, who had not then ascended to his status as the world’s most famous Internet provocateur. Because I knew that Breitbart was Matt Drudge’s right-hand man, and because I worked at The Washington Times — where getting Drudge links to our stories was essential to maintaining our profile — I immediately insinuated myself into this group, which also conveniently happened to have picked up a 12-pack of beer. So I ended up spending the night in their hotel room, where Evan tried to sleep while I listened to Andrew tell his amazing stories. Was this meeting a matter of mere chance? Was it a random accident? Or was it destiny — fate, kismet, or dare I say, the will of God in action?
Dear friends, there are no coincidences, and the same divine force that put me in that hotel drinking beers with Breitbart until 3 a.m. also brought forth other miraculous events that the godless would have us believe happened by mere luck. This is the crux of Evan Sayet’s attack on what he properly calls the Militant Materialist worldview of those atheists who claim that Darwinian theory disproves the existence of God.
Coincidence — chance, random luck, statistical probability — is what the atheists offer as the explanatory alternative to Creation. Evan Sayet grabs hold of this point with the ferocity of a pitbull and does not let go until the Godless Serendipity Theory is bleeding out from a loss of credibility:
Atheism is not a scientific belief. In fact, it is neither scientific nor a belief. Militant atheism is not an ideology. It is a weapon used by demagogues and would-be revolutionaries to clear the moral path to their rise to power and the godless way in which they intend to rule.
Evan’s book is crammed full of pithy paragraphs like that, as well as many laugh-out-loud punch lines like that gag about Jennifer Aniston movies. A veteran stand-up comedian and writer for TV comedy shows, Evan knows how to make his points with humor, but as much as you’ll enjoy his jokes, you’ll also understand that Magic Soup is a very serious project, given the totalitarian implications of the atheist worldview.
Ask yourself a question: “Why am I reading this?” Out of all the blog posts in the entire World Wide Web, why are you reading this one? Could it be that Almighty God wants you to buy Evan Sayet’s new book? Far be it from me to presume to speak on God’s behalf, but let the reader ponder the improbability of any other explanation for why you are, in fact, reading a blog post with such a headline. There are no coincidences.
Whereas I tend toward a Calvinistic explanation of how God’s will operates in human affairs, my good friend Evan Sayet is arguably closer to the original source of our monotheistic faith, IYKWIMAITYD.
When Evan contacted me to let me know he had a new book on the market, one of the first things he told me was that it had gotten a glowing review in Chronicles, to which I replied, “Wow.” Because, as I was aware, Chronicles has sometimes had a reputation as being not entirely friendly toward Members of the Tribe. It would be grossly unfair to say that Chronicles is, or ever was, anti-Semitic, but the magazine is proud of its status as the de facto journal of paleoconservatism, and thus the nemesis of neoconservatism, and if you’ve followed the history of that obscure conflict — as I have, by necessity — you perhaps understand why I was impressed to learn that Chronicles had heaped praise on Magic Soup.
How often must I repeat myself: There are no coincidences. Because you see, dear reader, that when I went to find the Chronicles review of Evan’s book, I discovered that it was written by none other than former Michigan Rep. Thaddeus McCotter — who just happens to be the political hero of my co-blogger Smitty. What are the statistical probabilities of such a happenstance? Never mind — it’s the divine will at work, and you can believe whatever you want to believe, but as for myself, I’m 100% certain that it was none other than Jehovah who aligned this so perfectly.
We live in troubled times, my friends, and never has it been more urgent to rally the faithful to defend against the worldwide armies of godlessness that have now surrounded the Camp of the Saints (Revelation 20:9).
You can — indeed, you should, and I would argue, you must — click here to buy Magic Soup, Typing Monkeys, And Horny Aliens From Outer Space: The Patently Absurd Wholly Unsubstantiated and Extravagantly Failed Atheist Origin Myth for $15.99, and by purchasing it through this link, of course, you’ll provide a small commission to me, at no extra cost to yourself. It would be a mitzvah, and may God bless you for it.

If ever you suspected the media were a herd of sheep, mindlessly repeating Democratic Party talking points — well, of course, your suspicions were correct, but seldom more clearly than in the way they “reported” Joe Biden’s State of the Union speech (which I didn’t watch, out of concern for my own mental health). After a nice sandwich for dinner — cracked pepper turkey with gouda cheese on whole-grain bread — I went to bed early then woke up about 12:30 a.m. to check in on my old buddy Stephen Green’s “drunkblogging” of the speech:
Jeebus. He’s so jacked up, he navigates a sentence like a 16-year-old boy unhooking his first bra. . . .
If the goal tonight was to prove that Grandpa can handle more juice in his veins than Uma Thurman in Pulp Fiction, then it’s Mission Accomplished.
Those are a few of the highlights, omitting Steve’s attempts to transcribe whatever INCOHERENT GIBBERISH JOE BIDEN WAS SHOUTING — and, I take it, Joe did an awful lot of incoherent shouting.
Just as an aside, Steve really does drunkblog those speeches. He’s been doing it for, what, 20 years now? After the 2008 Democratic convention in Denver, I spent the night at Steve’s house nearby and watched him drunkblog the speech in which Sarah Palin was introduced as McCain’s running mate. Steve went through a half-dozen martinis like it was nothing, and with seemingly no effect. The guy’s liver is a marvel of medical science. In the event of thermonuclear Armageddon, Steve’s liver will be the only thing to survive. And speaking of substance abuse . . .
Everybody knows Joe was pumped full of stimulants before that speech Thursday night. The idea was to show how energetic and vigorous the old guy is, which was why HE KEPT SHOUTING EVERYTHING. (Except, of course, when he was doing the Scary Joe whisper.)
Thursday night’s speech began late because a mob of pro-Palestinian protesters blocked the presidential motorcade route from the White House to the Capitol. How many of those protesters will be sent to prison like the J6 Trump supporters? The answer is zero. There are no consequences for left-wing mayhem in Joe Biden’s America.
? BREAKING: Pro-Palestine protesters are BLOCKING Joe Biden’s Motorcade to the State of the Union
— Benny Johnson (@bennyjohnson) March 8, 2024
Here’s what we know about State of the Union speeches, historically: Almost nobody watches the whole thing. Most people who tune in give up after 20 or 30 minutes of boredom, so that very few people are still watching at the end. It is therefore significant that Joe began the speech with basically a 30-minute campaign-rally attack on Trump and “MAGA” Republicans, which prompted this reaction from MsEBL:
All I could think was, wow, this must be how German Jews felt listening to Hitler speeches in the early 30s.
Exactly. Biden campaigned in 2020 claiming that he was going to “unite” the country, and his apparent plan to accomplish this goal is to demonize everybody who didn’t vote for him as un-American traitors.
Something else we know about State of the Union speeches: The president always gets a poll “bump” afterwards, so that no matter how awful you think Biden’s speech was, prepare to be shocked next week when the TV talking heads are gushing about Biden’s “comeback” in the polls. By the end of March, he may actually be leading Trump in the RCP average, but don’t get discouraged by this because, as I say, it’s predictable, and the post-SOTU “bump” almost certainly won’t last. The White House physician can’t keep pumping Joe full of stimulants on a daily basis without risking the old guy dying from a stroke, so we can expect to be back to normal conditions — Sleepy Joe and his feeble approval rankings — by the time summer arrives.

Super Thursday Thoughts: ‘Republican’ Nikki Haley’s ‘Presidential Campaign’ Was Actually a CIA Operation, and Is America Ready for the Angry Joe Biden Show?
Posted on | March 7, 2024 | 1 Comment
After the Super Tuesday primaries, my first thought was to mock California Democrats, so I missed the chance to mock Nikki Haley, so obviously I need to remedy my previous neglect of duty. CNN had ridiculously hyped Nikki Haley’s “presidential campaign,” which anyone with two eyes and a brain could see was doomed from the start.
If you went back to 2021 or 2022, a lot of conservatives — myself certainly included — felt like, “OK, time to move on. Who’s next?” There was no recent precedent for the kind of comeback effort that another Trump campaign would represent, and it seemed logical to think that some other candidate would be the GOP 2024 nominee. So a lot of us were ready to ride in the Ron DeSantis bandwagon, and when people started saying that Trump would run again in 2024, I was like, “You’re kidding me, right?” (Narrator: “They were not kidding.”)
I would have been fine with DeSantis, and when Vivek Ramaswamy threw his hat in the ring, I was impressed with what he had to say. Meanwhile, however, there were continued rumblings of a Trump comeback campaign, and once we started getting into the early campaign season in 2023, the polls kept showing the same basic result: Trump was somewhere around 45%, and everybody else was struggling to make it into double digits. Then, as the televised debates approached, Trump announced he would not participate in the debates and my reaction was, “You’re kidding me, right?” (Narrator: “Trump was not kidding.”)
And then? TRUMP’S NUMBERS KEPT RISING, even while his would-be rivals for the Republican nomination were getting free TV coverage in the debates. By late October 2023 — after the first two GOP debates — Trump was nearing 60% support from Republican primary voters in the Real Clear Politics average, more than 45 points ahead of his nearest competitor. Well, polls aren’t necessarily predictions, but then Trump won Iowa and New Hampshire, after which point the only other candidate in the field was Nikki Haley. After she got stomped in her home state of South Carolina, it was clearly time for her to quit, but she didn’t.
Why? Given that she had zero chance to win the Republican nomination, why did Nikki Haley keep campaigning? My answer: Because she wasn’t actually running for president. Her entire campaign was a charade, an elaborate psyop planned and controlled by the CIA. Maybe that’s just sarcastic hyperbole, but does anyone have a better explanation for why Haley kept “running for president” so long after it was plain as day that a majority of Republican primary voters had already chosen Trump?
You may scoff and say, “Stacy, you don’t have any proof that Nikki Haley is a puppet of the CIA.” True, but has she ever denied it?
Anyway, Super Tuesday was followed by Sad Wednesday on CNN, as the talking heads on the last-place cable news network started wargaming how to stop Trump, now that their Brave Republican Girl-Boss candidate had quit the primary race. Where would the “Nikki Haley voters” go in November? How could Joe Biden appeal to the “Nikki Haley voters”? These were questions that the CNN talking heads expected their audience to take seriously, and never mind that most of the “Nikki Haley voters” had voted for Joe Biden in 2020 anyway. It’s the same #NeverTrump crybabies we’ve been dealing with since 2015, and these so-called “Nikki Haley voters” are already factored into the poll numbers which, in case you haven’t noticed, JOE BIDEN IS LOSING.
Today CNN has completely forgot about Nikki Haley (because the CIA told them to forget about her), and have instead focused on What Joe Biden Needs to Say in His State of the Union Speech.
Any intelligent and reasonably objective observer watching CNN today could see that their “reporting” and “analysis” about Biden’s speech is actually partisan cheerleading — not just what they’re saying, but how they’re saying it, conveys the idea that they want Biden to give a great speech that will help him defeat the Evil Trump in November, and they expect their audience to feel the same way.
“He Oughta Fight Back”: The High-Wire Act of Joe Biden’s State of the Union Address
== Vanity Fair
Exclusive: Biden plans feisty economic reset
— Axios
All the liberal media are saying the same thing: Biden’s task is to be feisty and combative — Angry Joe, the Fighting President!
Of course, like the “Nikki Haley presidential campaign,” this is entirely phony. It’s a theatrical performance, and the job of the media is to pretend that Biden “hit a home run,” delivering the Greatest State of the Union Speech in History. And unless it’s an abject disaster — Joe collapsing in an apoplectic fit, knocking himself unconscious as his skull smashes into the lectern — the story they’ll be “reporting” on CNN tomorrow will be how wonderful Joe’s speech was. All he has to do to get credit for a Historic Achievement is to remain conscious.
So of course I’m not going to watch the State of the Union speech, because I don’t have time for this particular CIA psyop.

California Democrats: Why Do They Hate Women and Black People So Much?
Posted on | March 6, 2024 | 3 Comments
Perhaps readers will recall the identity-politics argument Democrats offered during the Obama era: “Vote for us, or you’re racist!” Then in 2016, with Hillary Clinton as their candidate, the Democrats’ argument became, “Vote for us or you’re sexist!” But now we look at the California Senate primary, where both progressive “rising star” Katie Porter and long-term congresswoman Barbara Lee were on the ballot, and instead, California Democrats chose white male Adam Schiff. NBC News:
Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff and Republican Steve Garvey will advance to the general election in the hotly contested California Senate race, NBC News projects.
That means Democratic Reps. Katie Porter and Barbara Lee, who also ran for the seat, will be shut out of the general election. The progressives will also vacate their House seats at the end of the term.
Under California’s rules, the top two vote-getters advance to the general election regardless of party affiliation.
In the final stretch of the race, the battle grew ugly between Schiff and Porter, the top-polling Democrats in the race. Schiff cultivated his national profile by battling former President Donald Trump as the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee. Porter, a populist who flipped a former GOP-held district in 2018, ran on a platform of taking on corporate power and addressing working class economic needs like the cost of child care.
Schiff, who led in many polls in the run-up to the contest, has sought to lock out Porter by running ads elevating Garvey in the hope that he will be his opponent in the fall. Schiff’s Democrats are favored to win the general election in the solidly blue state.
By facing Garvey, Schiff will avoid a contentious and expensive intraparty fight this fall. Garvey has run a bare-bones campaign.
In fact, Garvey barely campaigned at all. He’s a famous former baseball star of the Los Angeles Dodgers and if, somehow between now and November, California voters decide to kick their addiction to electing Democrats, Garvey would be a non-controversial alternative.
Meanwhile, the question remains, why have Democrats suddenly abandoned the identity-politics formula that they used as a weapon to attack Republicans? If, given the choice, Democrats in California prefer the white male Schiff over the black female Barbara Lee by more than a four-to-one margin, what does that tell us? I’d say it tells us Democrats are a bunch of lying hypocrites. But we already knew that.
