Just so you don’t think that the prospect of covering the Scott Brown Senate campaign in Massachusetts has got us all serious or anything, here’s an item (via Linkiest) that’s worth a laugh:

Lesbian celebrity Tila Tequila was “engaged” to Casey Johnson, the daughter of New York Jets owner Woody Johnson. Casey died last week, and celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton suggested the death was drug related.

Things really escalated, however, when Tila Tequila began Twittering non-stop about Casey’s death and Perez started Twittering back, accusing Tila of cashing in:

I’m amazed you’re not broadcasting live, showing us you’re “grieving”! That’s totally something trash like you would do!

And:

You should try and get custody of her daughter. That’d be GREAT publicity, all you crave in life!

In related celebrity lesbian news, a forthcoming movie, Chloe, “features 24-year-old Amanda Seyfried in a hot relationship with 49-year old Julianne Moore.” Because lesbian is the new black, I guess.

Also, my futile quest to get re-Tweeted by Alyssa Milano continues to be . . . well, futile. Maybe I can get Perez Hilton to help.

UPDATE: A commenter points out that Tila Tequila is, technically, bisexual — apparently, she’s only gay when there’s a profit motive. Also, she’s very eager for her Twitter followers to know about her latest interviews:

Visibly upset, with mascara running down her face, Tila tells RadarOnline.com the only reason she wasn’t with Casey at the time of her death was because Johnson had urged Tila to make up with her family and go home for the holidays.
It’s obvious that Tila holds herself, along with Casey’s family, to blame for the tragic death of the woman who Tila touchingly calls her “wifey”.

Wow. She was that close to a legal common-property relationship with a multi-millionaire heiress. No wonder she’s emotionally distraught.

    You may have missed a few opportunities for the AMilano tweet. She is helping a dog who had his 2 front legs amputated in an accident (pics at radaronline)and she tweeted she had an epi of Castle on Monday night…
