Iran Discovers the N-Word

Posted on | January 25, 2010 | 9 Comments

Evidently, it has an equivalent in Farsi:

Mohammad Javad Larijani criticized the policies adopted by U.S. President Barack Obama and referred to him using a racial epithet.
“When Barack Obama was sworn into office he talked of verbally engaging Iran,” the U.C. Berkeley graduate was quoted as saying. “What has changed is that today this [the equivalent of the N-word in Farsi] talks of regime change in Iran.”
In a Saturday meeting at the Islamic Engineers Society, Larijani said, “I am not a racist, but I must respond to this man [Obama] in some way.”

For the record: I don’t speak Farsi, no matter what Charles Johnson tries to tell you.

Hat-tip: Linkiest, which also features bikini pictures of Alana Blanchard. What’s the Farsi equivalent of schwiiing“?

Although I’d never heard of Alana Blanchard before, it turns out she’s a surfer chick from Hawaii. And also younger than my eldest daughter.

If you suddenly feel ashamed of yourself for clicking the bikini-picture link — or laughing at that “schwiiing” joke — you should soothe your guilty conscience by hitting the tip jar to help pay for my daughter’s wedding which has now been scheduled for July.

What’s next? Will Obi call this Iranian a red neck who clings to his Koran and WMD?

Hmmm … Jim Hoft relays that PBS reports that an unspecified word — which I’m suppose to trust their interpretation of — was used.

Er … color me unimpressed, IYKWIMAITYD. If Jim Hoft and PBS both told me it was raining, I’d be on the alert for dual conservative/liberal urine streams aimed at my back.

Maybe NOW the liberals will consider them a credible threat, since they’re obviously clinging haters who might do something crazy at any moment.

Y’know, it’s one thing kill American soldiers, seek the destruction of a neighboring state, etc.; but calling our little bronze man-god a nigger? That is a bridge too far. Only a rapper is allowed to do that.

    This means war!
