UPDATE: Just discovered this was “Quote of the Day” at Hot Air last night.

This shows the utter randomness of my Web browsing method. I went to bed early last night, got up this morning and saw this when Activity Pit Tweeted it. But it’s already been blogged at Little Miss Attila, Fire Andrea Mitchell and Jenn Q. Public.

Meanwhile, Chris Matthews has already clarified: He meant to say that Obama was “clean” and “articulate” or something like that.

Seems to me Chris Matthews basically admitted that last night was the first time he was able to look at Obama as simply the POTUS, as opposed to a black man.

    In the trifecta of losers on the clip, Matthews reigns for his complete jackassery.

    “For about an hour I forgot he was black.”

    I simply cannot comprehend people who think like this.Can Matthews only focus on the president’s style and not his substance? Is he trying to create “historical” soundbites of himself yammering? Dude, get over it, already!

    Then he states, Obama was so in tuned with America?! Hello! Why are all the people meeting,emailing, demonstrating, rallying, tweeting, facebooking, phonebanking, running for office, being citizen journalists, raising money, blogging, calling reps etc. etc.Hello! We are trying to tell you -you are not in sync with us! Some of us are even losing sleep over this mess!

    Because the LSM chose not to accurately report the Teaparty Movement, they continue to underestimate it…at their peril.

    P.S. Can you just imagine the uproar if Rush had said this?
