Lesbian Elena Kagan Will Be Nominated by Obama; Gayest SCOTUS Evah!

Posted on | May 9, 2010 | 69 Comments

Tonight, I’m reaping the Google traffic bonanza from “How Gay Is Elena Kagan?” (Short answer: Gayer than Rosie O’Donnell guest-hosting the Ellen DeGeneres show.) Now everybody’s Googling for America’s most famous stealth lesbian:

Kagan, 50, served as the Dean of Harvard Law Lesbian School from 2003 to 2009. Obama nominated her to serve in her current post as solicitor general early in 2009, and she won Senate confirmation by a vote of 61-31. She is the first woman lesbian to serve as solicitor general of the United States. . . .
Some liberal critics have said that Kagan’s views on executive power and the treatment of terrorist detainees are too conservative lesbian . . .

Obviously, some editing was required there. Does anyone care what I think of Elena Kagan’s judicial philosophy? No, but they’ll scour every corner of the Internet for “Elena Kagan lesbian” or “Elena Kagan gay,” and it’s been months since I’ve had a Google-bomb winner like that. (If you’re looking for “Elena Kagan nude” or “Elena Kagan sex video,” you’re pathetic and disgusting, but traffic is traffic.)

For some reason, while conservatives are mostly indifferent toward Kagan’s gayness, the Obama administration has acted as if it were a huge scandal, as conservative lesbian Cynthia Yockey explains:

Well, thank Gaia gays and lesbians can count on the left — the gay-lovin’, gay rights supportin’ left — to have their backs. So how are they taking the news? KA. FREAKING. BOOM! SHAME-A-PALOOZA! The White House announced that Kagan is straight and it is all Bush’s fault if anyone says otherwise. HuffPo has declared war on the “Republican whispering campaign.” Human Rights Campaign is decrying discussion of Kagan’s sexual orientation as being “straight out of the right-wing playbook.” . . .
Lesbians and gays are outnumbered on the left by other demographic groups that hate us and want us dead. . . . I believe it is these leftist anti-gay identity groups who are working hard to shift blame for a “whispering campaign” onto conservatives and Republicans.

The purpose of the Kagan “whispering campaign” blame game is the same as the Tea Party “racism” smears: To convince Americans (gay, straight, black, white, whatever) that conservatives are dangerous, irrational bigots. As it becomes starkly apparent that Democrats are incompetent to cope with the nation’s economic and national-security problems, the Left has increasingly resorted to defamation and demonization of their political opponents. It’s the only argument they’ve got.

Beyond that, if you want serious discussion of the Elena Kagan nomination, try Legal InsurrectionMichelle MalkinTammy Bruce, Weasel Zippers or The Lonely Conservative. Legal analysis isn’t my specialty. I’m just a blogger trying to make a buck.

ELENA KAGAN IS TOTALLY GAY!

Don’t hate me for being a capitalist.

UPDATE: Hands off my Google-bomb, Donald Douglas!

UPDATE II: Bob Belvedere and Da Tech Guy are not ashamed to covet the lucrative Google-bomb.

UPDATE III: More non-rumors from Cliff at Another Black Conservative and from Jules Crittenden.

Meanwhile, in the comments below, Jennifer from A Conservative Shemale seems offended by my sense of humor. Although National Offend a Feminist Week ended yesterday, permit me to wonder hypothetically whether Jennifer would be offended or flattered if I replied, “Run along and get me a cup of coffee, sweetheart.”

Being oppressed by the patriarchy = acceptance?

Kagan’s rather odious as a constitutional philosopher, but with the possible exception of Cass Sunstein, she may well be the best SCOTUS nominee we will ever see from this petty, pissy, prancing, preening peacock of a President – and he will have at least one more, unfortunately.

She chooses to keep her sexual orientation private, and I think that choice should be respected. Having seen pictures of her today, I’d go so far as to be grateful for less information about her sex life. Excuse me, just thinking about it makes me have to go shudder uncontrollably for a while. Talk amongst yourselves.

“For some reason, while conservatives are mostly indifferent toward Kagan’s gayness…”

Which is why you can’t stop talking about it,right?
The irony is that as a lesbian she is more attractive than you are as a straight man, you yellow-toothed hick!
Ah, bigoted Cons just cannot help themselves, can they?

Obama pics obvious lesbians that try to stay in the closet for important posts like Homeland Security Chief Janet Nappylotaxo.

Nappy was the worst Governor Arizona ever had and picking her for Homeland Security was the absolute worst possible choice. She has an open borders agenda and did everything in her power to make it easier for illegals go get into the country and stay there until they could vote Democrat. Her incompetence is dangerous to the rest of us. I have never felt safe with her in power and I am sad to say, we are in a vulnerable place as long as she is in that job.

It is no wonder Obama picks Kagan, she will further the left wing bleeding heart covert “I’m not a Lesbian” nanny state, culture of entitlement polices that the cool dude Arabic speaking president covets.

It is a tragedy that we will have to look at her for decades and know what she denies or fails to confront.

Perhaps the Homeland Security Chief is looking for a room mate.

Her sexuality only is irrelevant if it does not in any way inform her worldview nor have any influence on her judicial thinking. I’m sorry, but I cannot imagine this to be the case. In fact, I would find it disingenuous at best, and would have less respect for her, if she said otherwise. To think that the Catholic faith of Scalia, Kennedy, Thomas, Alito, and Roberts has had zero influence on their judicial views is inconceivable. And thus, for that reason, her lesbian orientation matters.

I beg to differ against the judgmental liberals here. Her sexual preference does indeed have a lot to do with how she views issues regarding gays and the sexually deviant. Why didn’t Obama choose Kimba Wood. Come on. Why does Obama keep choosing women who look like bull dykes? Sotamayor…yikes! Obam would be ebtter served to choose a judge from the midwest or western states, but sadly he is a typical politician…choosing people from the east coast. yikes!

If Obama appointed a sexual defect (approx. 3 percent of the population has a severe defect that makes them attracted to the same same) then the law of the lands can start to reflect this aberration worst than Hollywood ever tries to make it normal.

I am gay. I do think that the president is indeed revisioning America to include everyone and on this he stands separate from his party. That said: It seems to me that it in this century it’s wrong headed for dems to assert that the gay whisperings are part of a SMEAR campaign: as if being gay were ugly and scandalous. Yet, it comes as no surprise. I have asserted for some time that the D party love us only to secure our votes. I left them as a result of Bill Clinton’s embracing don’t-ask-don’t-tell after promising us (in order to secure our campaign dollars and our votes) the acceptance of gays in the military . I was furthered dis-enamored with the party when in 2003 at their convention they forbid even the mention of gay rights in any speech. It baffles me that gays continue to align themselves with the D party thats like standing on the side of the bully who will beat you up the least or the assassin with the knife in your back that doesn’t go in as deep.

The acceptance of homosexuality has been a theme of the MSM for more than a decade. That being the case why would the media not talk about the historic nature of this nomination?

What do I think? If they thought it would bring votes to the democrats it would be shouted at the top of their lungs, because they think the opposite they do not.

I think the double standard is disgraceful and speaks volumes about the media and their actual prejudices. I think it says a lot about what they actually think about gay Americans.

I don’t know much about Kagan yet, what I do know is that whether or not she is a lesbian is irrelevant to me, I am interested in her stand on issues. Given that she is Obama’s Solicitor General and the former Dean of Harvard Law the chances are very high I will disagree with most (all?) of her legal positions.
