Miss USA Stripper Contest Scandal!

Posted on | May 17, 2010 | 31 Comments

No sooner was Rima Fakih named Miss USA than Americans erupted in outrage. No, I’m not talking about Michelle Malkin and Debbie Schlussel. I’m talking about Miss Fakih’s sponsors in the “Stripper 101” contest:

The Web site for WKQI-FM (95.5) has photos of a dark-haired young woman they say is Rima Fakih of Dearborn, who was crowned Miss USA Sunday Night in Las Vegas, pole-dancing for a Mojo in the Morning “Stripper 101” contest in 2007.

Now, why would Miss Fakih try to conceal her history as a pole-dancing contestant, as if she were ashamed of the fine hometown folks at WKQI-FM? Isn’t that kind of hypocritical?

By contrast, Miss Oklahoma didn’t hide her views when asked about Arizona’s immigration laws. And Miss Oklahoma placed second in the Miss USA competition so . . .

Well, it would be just awful if Miss Pole-Dancer lost her title, don’t you agree?

It has been alleged that right-wingers are outraged by Rima Fakih’s winning the Miss USA crown because we are prejudiced against Arabs. In point of fact, I have a long record of praising Arab beauty queens, including the original “Gee Hottie,” 2006 Miss Egypt, Fawzi Mohamed:

To clarify: it’s not an anti-Arab thing; it’s an anti-idiot thing.

I take exception to your description of us as “disgusting sexist scumbags”. I am anything but disgusting, nor a scumbag.

And I couldn’t find that full sized image at the link. So how could I be sexist?

    ;-p

This is a Trump sponsored contest, right? Isn’t it supposed to be trashy?

And on that note, I congratulate the victory (in both contests) of my fellow Dearbornite.
