There Are Some Things That Only Democrats Can Get Away With; UPDATE: Shirley Sherrod Resigns!

Posted on | July 19, 2010 | 54 Comments

Including public declarations of racial discrimination:

Speaking of rural Georgia, if you live in Georgia’s 12th District and don’t like being represented by Shirley Sherrod’s fellow Democrat John Barrow, remember to vote Tuesday for Ray McKinney, who just got endorsed by the Tea Party Express.

UPDATE: Fox News:

The Agriculture Department announced Monday, shortly after FoxNews.com published its initial report on the video, that Sherrod had resigned.

(Via Hot Air.) Let’s make sure we all understand the principle involved here: Obama spends 20 years in Rev. Jeremiah “G–D— America” Wright’s church, and that’s no big deal. A low-level USDA appointee says bad stuff about white people and under the bus!

Racism is wrong regardless of source of idiocy. Of course she will get a free pass.
Also Jerry Rivers needs to come with a warning label.TY!

Remember its not racial discrimination when blacks do it to whites. Simple as that.

Let’s make sure we understand the principle here:
Tea PArty Express leader repeatedly uses the term “colored” to refer to African-Americans and nary a Conservative raises an eyebrow about it, Mark Williams still leader of the “movement”.
Sherrod WIlliams resigns after exposure of the tape.
One of the parties involved here is on the up and up.
Tea Party still harbors racist elements…

Hence the Black Panthers and Shirley Sherrod represent your paranoid delusion of BO being anti-white. Do you bother to think before you type, or are you just throwing it all out there like som much kitchen ware?
Randy, what’s cute is you Fight Club like denial that no leaders exist in the Tea Party. But knock yourself out defending

It was nice of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored (quick, get young4eyes his fainting couch!) People to provide this racist with a forum and an audience who would appreciate her tale of using her government powers to take revenge against someone whose race she didn’t like.

It was nicer still that Breitbart made sure that her message of racial revenge reached an even wider audience.

Gg and young4eyes, we aren’t asking for people perfect all the time, just most of the time, not hard.

BHO has associated himself with Jeremiah Wright, Eric Holder and has talked and pursued various policies that have done MORE to damage race relations than any other president! I don’t know how either of you can sit blithely ignoring the consistencies of Obama’s and Holders actions. You guys are maddeningly non sequitur, you guys should be commenting on the DailyKos or Huffington Post but instead you flame flame flame flame flame flame on The Other McCain.

Anyway for what it’s worth…the comment section aren’t half as fun without some uncivilized debate.

” has talked and pursued various policies that have done MORE to damage race relations than any other president!”

What, pray tell, are these “policies” you speak of?
Being born African-American is all this president needed to hurt race relations with Conservatives. I wouldn’t call that a “policy”.
And despite all this chatter, not one repudiation of Tea Party Express leader Mark Williams.
One side took care of its problem, and the other still harbors its racists…why is that, hmmmmmm?

Well, everyone must go over Fools’ Hill. It’s important, though, not to get stuck at the top. I know, I was still voting Democrat when I was nearly fifty.

Mr Williams has ridiculed the NAACP’s use of the term “Colored” people to refer to it’s membership. Since I remember quite well the day when “Colored” was the polite term, it’s hard to get myself worked up into too high a dudgeon over that bit of silliness.

Barry Soetero has pushed America in a direction that any Socialist would agree is, at least, a good start. Somehow, though, the Left claims that they can see no reason for any Conservative to oppose these policies, other than racism.

While Social Democrats push/drag us into the Twentieth Century’s most destructive economic morass, most of the rest of the world is trying to crawl out of Socialism/Statism. That Barry et cie are using dishonesty and strong-arm tactics to do our country the harm that they intend, puts the young trolls, on this and other sites, in the position of defending the indefensible.

I used to think that liberalism was like acne in that many get when they’re young but eventually out grow it.
I have since concluded that liberalism also share’s at least one quality with chicken pox in that it’s symptoms are much more deleterious and severe when contracted as an adult and can sometimes cause permanent harm.
Gigi and young4eyes have since confirmed a theory I’ve been considering lately. Liberalism is actually more like syphilis. If treated properly in it’s early stages complete recovery can be achieved. However if left untreated the onset symptoms may fade but the disease begins to attack the nervous system. Eventually untreated syphilis leads to dementia and insanity.
Obviously the parallel I’ve drawn between liberalism and syphilis is indisputable among rational people, I wonder who’ll disagree?
