Donald Trump Drops 2012 GOP Campaign, Citing Herman Cain Surge

Posted on | May 16, 2011 | 13 Comments

What? Wait a minute — this can’t be right. I just read the entire official statement in which Donald Trump announced that he won’t be seeking Republican presidential nomination and he didn’t say a single word about the unstoppable momentum of Herman Cain.

Never mind. Ed is right: “Hardest hit — Charles Krauthammer?”

Actually Chris Rock killed Trump’s chances when he said he would not vote for him, ”because Trump might leave America for a younger prettier country if he was elected. ”

Well that and Trump’s poll popularity plumeting following Obama releasing his long form birth certificate.

I am glad we are not having another third party prima donna to worry about, other than Ron “Black Swan” Paul.

First Huckleberry, and now The Donald.

Can Romney be far behind? These things generally run in threes, don’t they?

Turns out Trump is not running for the very same reason I am not running. Neither of us has a chance in hell of being elected. Only difference is Trump has too much ego to admit  he couldn’t win. In fact, during his “not running” announcement he made some comment about still believing he could beat Obama.

It’s good to see this trend developing, and I hope it continues with similar announcements from Romney, Pawlenty, and Daniels. And as far as I’m concerned Santorum, another Big Government Conservative like Hucklefuck. I still bet McCain runs again. The more these centrist candidates drop out the more likely he is to do it, you know, “for the sake of the country.”

No such luck I’m afraid, the third dropout whether he knows it or not is Newt.

He did that because he was trying to save face……and hair.

How about this for a campaign slogan:  CAIN IS ABLE.

I hope the third would be Sarah Palin.
