Separated At Birth? Stacy McCain/Dave Mustaine Edition

The news today that Dave Mustaine, who may or may not be a loyal reader of this blog, endorsed Rick Santorum today came to me via a print copy of the DC Examiner while attending to a private, non-work-related matter at my job site.

Isn’t the resemblance striking? But I think the resemblance goes deeper than superficial:

  1. Talks to God every day? Check.
  2. Goes to court when he has to? Check.
  3. Nothing better to do than be prompt at work, broke due to clearing his bills? Check, check, write that frickin’ check!

Guitar case closed, my friends.

a thousand thank-yous to Belvedere for photo support.

What I was actually trying for was something between Rod Stewart’s spikey shag and Prince’s pompadour. My hair was pretty awesome, though, as was my tan.

Wasn’t that Stacy running (in the yellow shirt) at the 1:14 mark in the video?

     Nah, too girly-girl.  I’m thinking more . . . K.D. Lang.

Yeah?  Well I had Spike Jones’ I’m My Own Grandma on 78.

Get off my lawn, you dang kid!

As Taranto quipped, does that mean that Megadeth is pro-life?

    You didn’t make it.

Stacy, you look like a member of one of the New Romantic New Wave bands, like ABC or Duran Duran, although, perhaps, Flock Of Seagulls is a better fit considering your politics [and Iran….].

My personal favorite was #2: “goes to court when he has to?”

All I could think of was “Why yes your honor, I was doing 86 in a 65, but I had to get this rally you see, and the rental company gave me this awesome Mustang, so….”

Silly bugger, Spike Jones didn’t record I’m My Own Grandpa, and you didn’t even get the name right.

Big deal re: Megadeth singer endorsing Santorum; Barry Goudreau of Boston endorsed Huckabee, and the two of them would even play Boston More Than A Feeling on stage.

Boston kicks Megadeth’s ass six ways from Sunday.
