MSNBC: The ‘C’ Is for ‘Crazy’

Posted on | June 20, 2012 | 16 Comments

Of the half-million or so viewers who regularly watch MSNBC, I’m sure at least 100,000 are like me: Conservatives tuning in just to laugh at the zany derangement of liberal idiots. Benny Johnson and Erica Ritz of The Blaze describe one typical MSNBCer’s lunatic rant:

According to MSNBC Host Melissa Harris-Perry
•9/11 vaulted America into a “nationalist fervor” that was similar to “having post-traumatic stress disorder”
•Makes racial joke about African-American men wearing NYPD hats
•9/11 provided an opportunity for a new “racial enemy” in America
•America “identifies who we are…through our notions of whiteness and of the racial enemies that are the non-whites”
• 9/11 gave America a chance to shift its racial hate from “Reagan‘s ’welfare Queen’“ to ”imagine” our enemy as ”somehow Muslim, or Arab, or Sikh, or something else.”
•Americans an ability to “stomach a kind of horrific racial violence in the name of national security”
•Those that are “activating terrorism against us” are “imagined racial enemies”

Read the whole crazy thing.

The problem with most of the media is that, outside of caricaturing the entire South as Hazard County, they have no concept of life anywhere outside the Manhatten-DC corridor.

Amazing, MSNBC found a non-caucasian woman to do something other than empty the trash and mop the floors.

MSNBC is improving folks – have to hand them that!

[…] to be arguing that I am wrong to be calling MSNBC, MSNBS. Perhaps I need to leave the C in there, as it apparently stands for CRAZY! Of the half-million or so viewers who regularly watch MSNBC, I’m sure at least 100,000 are like […]

Well, the Iraq War did kill a lot of non-white people.

But forget about any legitimate point this lady might have. I mean if Glenn Beck’s site paraphrases her speech in a way to make it sound wacky and a bunch of right-wingers call her crazy then that’s good enough for me.

Talk about talking points. Sounds like someone read the script just as it was written under the notion that if you repeat something often enough (no matter how off base it is), folks will start to believe it.

MSNBC was going nowhere fast before Microsoft bailed and NBC went fully 24/7 Moonbat Channel.  Bringing the likes of Olby, Maddow, O’Donnell, Schultz, and Sharpton gave them instant appeal to the insane left – still the fastest growing segment of the Democratic electorate.  Chrissy Matthews easily shed all his post-9/11 patriotism and joined in the group tingles.

I went to law school in Seattle. Never in a million years would I have guessed that removing the Western Washington shareholder from MSNBC would increase the lunacy, because I have to say, the Emerald City is pretty far left.

Oh, I think it was a business decision.  They weren’t drawing the viewers as a mainstream cable news outfit, which is to say liberal but not nuts, so they decided to go for a niche audience on the far left.

You don’t hire those hosts as straight news people, or even moderates.  They are all off the deep left end.  And from a ratings point of view, it’s worked out better for them than playing it straight ever did.

This is why, I think, MSNBC will be around for a while.  The owners don’t care if it loses buckets of denarii.  Keeping it on the air gives them Leftist cred.

And maybe draws them away from the “mainstream” channels, thus possibly giving those others room to regain audience share among the sane.
