“If you want to see the consequences of deinstitutionalizing the mentally ill,” I explained a couple weeks ago, “go to Tumblr.com and search for ‘feminism.'” Exactly why Tumblr is such a fetid swamp of virulent ideological insanity, I’m not sure, but in November 2014, Elliot (a “third generation asian american (japanese). polyamorous and panromantic” college student in Boston) wrote this:

“hands up if middle aged white men scare you more than anyone else”

Explanation? Who needs explanations for this kind of fear in 2015? Young people have been “carefully taught” (to borrow, with no deliberate irony, the words of an old Rodgers and Hammerstein song) whom they should fear, and no factual justification is needed. Elliot’s denunciation was reblogged on Tumblr by “Social Work Grad Students” who added:

Second place goes to early twenties white men

Then Klaudia weighed in:

let’s be real, teenage white boys in groups are the most terrifying, with the runner up being violently drunk college frat boys

Finally, Ashleigh in Sydney, Australia, added:

all of the above

Really? Do any of them bother to explain this reign of terror imposed by white males? No, they merely parrot what they have been taught — white males are agents of universal oppression — with the expectation that everyone will nod in enthusiastic agreement. And more than 200,000 Tumblr contributors have liked or reblogged Elliot’s words.

You can dismiss such hateful rhetoric as “just a bunch of idiots on the Internet,” but in the 1930s, some dismissed Mein Kampf as “just a book by a disgruntled Austrian painter.”

    That would be middle aged white men who have jobs, provide for their families, pay taxes and otherwise seek to live their lives without a lot of interference from the State, and would generally prefer to determine themselves upon whom to shower their largess.

    Yep, I can see why that scares the crap out of these types, because such middle aged white men refuse to provide a meal ticket so that the LGBTQXYZ crowd can engage in deep, deep, deep performance “art.”

    Heh. Stacy, we seem to think a LOT alike. I’ve also thought of South Pacific, in light of the indoctrination of our youth in progthought.

    It would seem that the hippies have become the establishment they so “loathed” 50 years ago, and we are now the insurgent counterculture fracturing their politically-correct government oppression. Time to stick it to ’em.

    My grandfather came over on the boat from Italy with his mom when he was about 6. They had virtually nothing.

    He wound up working for a butcher, learned the trade, opened his own shop, and provided pretty well for his wife, 2 kids and his mom.

    Can you imagine any of these snowflakes being able to even look at a piece of beef? Much less support themselves and others using manual labor?

    It makes me laugh….

    Yet listening to the intellectual heirs of Gramsci et al we’re supposed to believe that those men & women and their culture are the most oppressive thing in the history of humanity. But don’t worry, their variant(s) of Marxism have come to save us.

    IMHO Vegetarianism/Veganism is an urban pseudo-religion. I’ve never talked with one who didn’t attempt a moral high ground type argument (ie: there are no faces on my plate or some such idiotic banter). So-called plant based diets are the stuff that’s typically fed to prison camp inmates and cult members to maintain low energy levels and diminished mental capacity in order to facilitate control.

    Speaking as a middle-aged white male, I can assure Elliott that I am no threat. I am too tired at the end of a work week to be much of a threat to anything but my couch and some of the less tenacious weeds in my yard. I might also recommend that Elliott and those like him might wish to peruse the crime statistics before making such statements. If you look at just the stats for my demographic, our crime rate would be lower than practically anywhere on Earth.

    These are the morons who talk about “Islamophobia.” “Hands up if young black men scare you” translates into “hands up I can’t breathe, oh, the white supremacy… fading fast.”

    Over and over again we see people who are either straight up racists hiding behind their “anti-oppression” identity or simply morons who can’t make simple comparisons. Ferguson was a heaping abundance of both. These people are Orwellians in the true sense of the term.
