Two California Teachers Charged in Beach Sex Party With Five Teenage Boys

Posted on | March 3, 2015 | 48 Comments

Alcohol, blowjobs and cocaine — the California ABCs:

Two teachers who were arrested in January for allegedly having a beach sex party with five male students have been hit with new charges – including that they supplied cocaine to the minors.
Melody Lippert, 38, and Michelle Ghirelli, 30, from the Los Angeles suburb of Covina, were both originally only charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor over allegations that they gave booze to the students.
On Monday, prosecutors hit them with a slew of new, much more serious, charges, KTLA-TV reports.
Lippert, who allegedly organized the trip, was charged with unlawful sexual intercourse and furnishing a controlled substance to a minor, both felonies.
Ghirelli now faces charges of unlawful sexual intercourse, furnishing a controlled substance to a minor and oral copulation of a minor, all of which are also felonies.

Is there a website that collects all the teacher rape news reports? There seem to be one every day or so.

This Instapundit link at the bottom of the page “Teach women not to rape!” has a good, continuously updated list.

I find myself wondering how pervasive this is. Assuming that most of the cases we read about come to light because one or more of the youngsters comes forward for some reason or the teacher does something careless (in the stupid criminal sense). If that is the case than surely most instances are never found out.

I often wonder if the constant drumbeat of “teachers don’t get paid hardly nuthin” has attracted the wrong sort. My father was a public school teacher as is my oldest daughter, but I think the rhetoric is attracting the wrong kind of people.

We have an ongoing dialogue here, trying to understand this trend. I was on the side of “predators go where the prey is,” but now I’m leaning toward the notion that it’s simply an epidemic of women indulging their basest impulses.

I agree, but it’s also the immorality/base impulses portrayed on TV and in movies; the “women should be able to be as slutty as men” mindset (as if that was ever a problem…male sluts were sluttin’ with somebody, presumably female sluts).

For some reason, instead of growing up and maturing, these damn fools think that being ho’s makes them “hot” instead of a “hot mess”. They’re like…I don’t know…Lena Dunham mind rape victims who are too massively stupid to realize that “gee, what do you mean your mom saw the sext I sent you?” can actually happen. They work in schools, but have never heard of the gossip mill.

But mostly, these idiots are younger than 53, and 53 years ago is when prayer was banned in schools. There seems to be some odd, unexpected relationship between Christianity and morality. [shrug] Who’d have seen that coming?

You mean the one on the right? Thirty years old, and it took until she was in front of the camera for her to start processing the fact that the trip could result in a mugshot and an arrest record.

In your next installment, you should suggest that “barefoot and pregnant” is what they ought to aspire to, anyway. You’d get doxed in a split second for that. =)

I had a professor in engineerin school who asked me if I was ashamed of myself for keeping a man out of a job. I said, “nope”, then he finished with the barefoot and pregnant thing. Good times…

I think that adolescents just suck at keeping secrets, for the exact same reason why it’s illegal to have sex with them: they’re literally immature. They can be reliably expected to make bad decisions.

ETA: I’ve been forced to refine my understanding of statutory rape laws by people that object to them. I’ve come to understand them as an inter-temporal intervention, in which we collectively agree to protect our younger selves from our older selves.

    Fed by the media machine.

If you want more of something, you subsidize it. Sometimes that means with money, sometimes it means with approval.

  27. Daniel Freeman
    March 4th, 2015 @ 1:34 am

Nonsense! According to The Plan, college is an excellent way to meet the kind of man that can afford to buy you shoes. I denounce and reject your professor for failing to suggest an MRS degree. 😉

Knowing what I now know, that’s what I should’ve done. I don’t know what possessed me (yes I do) to believe that working at a job is rewarding. Keeping house, rearing kids and entertaining my husband’s business associates would’ve been tons more rewarding. Stupid feminists.

Maybe I should’ve finished my BS, then got a job only long enough to pay for my nerdy engineer husband’s MBA. Then had a kid every two years until my uterus fell out. THAT’S what I SHOULD’VE done, right there.

We’ve crossed a line where the thread seems to have turned serious, but I’m not sure, because of the mix of snark and facts and personal preferences.

  31. slp2502
    March 4th, 2015 @ 4:26 am

Excluding the 38 year old here, it seems like a good percentage of these women have not matured and want to have sex with high school boys. They are sick in the head. But not insane. Just sociopaths?

  32. Daniel Freeman
    March 4th, 2015 @ 4:57 am

I would say just stupid. IANAL, just an amateur philosopher, but I think that we criminalize statutory rape as a form of social inter-temporal intervention. We collectively protect our younger selves from our older selves, because once we grow up we see how dumb we were before.

It’s not that abnormal to have sexual desires for adolescents, but it’s a really bad idea to act on them.

It took me a few hours to process the nuances. I was thrown off because the scenario was so specific, but I see now that you were just riffing off of my MRS degree joke.

However, I also sense some genuine resentment of the criticism of feminist rhetoric around work. I assure you that I’m just pushing back against them trying to push all the women out, and when I’m not being snarky, I just want everyone to be happy.

I know, that’s what makes the discussions so much fun. Isn’t it fun trying to figure out what’s going on in a woman’s head???

At home, I say everything with a straight face, so if you were standing right here in front of me, you still wouldn’t know. My daughter hates it.

Society today works to keep young people immature.

The Saxons considered twelve the age of personal responsibility, although they supposedly often let it slide to fifteen. In the not-do-distant past we allowed youths to leave school at fourteen to go to work.

Now, according to official government standards, the age of responsibility seems to be something like twenty-six.
