I’d rather not kill anyone we don’t have to kill. OTOH, I’m of the bent that if we go to war, it’s to the knife and that to hilt. Then we start on the morons in this country that made it necessary.

Some might think I’m being glib, but I see this as an inevitable result of our constrained choices:
    – No war can be protracted because of leftist perfidy.
    – US soldiers in occupation are as much hostages as fighters.
    – Iran will not be dissuaded by anything short of war, most likely.
    – If Iran gets the bomb it will be GUARANTEED to set off a nuclear arms race.
If we want to stop the slide down the slippery slope, we must remove the first step.
IMO, we’re already out of time. There’s going to be a worldwide recession, possibly a depression, and when that happens the next president will have too many domestic problems to deal with.

    “Our meddling…”
Yes. I blame Woodrow Wilson…or maybe FDR.

Why not? The DNCC’s autopsy of the midterms was only 9 pages.

There’s going to be a series of wars that will involve the entire world. Bible Prophecy has yet to be inaccurate. Every war of the last century was begun by incompetents that were given power. The only exception to this was our involvement in WW2. FDR wanted us in, and his maladminstration did all it could to provoke the Japs. John Toland’s Infamy and Stinnet’s “Day of Deception” lay it all out. FDR, Hull, Stimson, Stark and Marshall were world class liars.

ValJar with a hashtag campaign: every bit the feckless loserism we’ve come to expect from this regime.

A veritable zero. In large type, of course.

If you came out against immigration reform and a ship em all back strategy I would give your opinions a little more respect but it’s all just repeat the talking points with no care at all about how they fit together. You can’t be really serious. We go to war to secure labor resources for our corporations but at the same time let’s support endless immigartion so they can compete in the job market against the rest of us.

I recall the same line being touted prior to Iraq and I think we are still safely under the WW2 carnage numbers.

Why is it when I read Jerry’s posts that I keep hearing ” I believe it is peace for our time. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Go home and get a nice quiet sleep.”

They wanted to avoid war with Germany at that time. Look what it got us.

We can start a unit on the pattern of Soviet Penal Battalions. Either they move to the attack, or we give them a noodle. One way they have a chance, the other way they have none. Either way works for me.
