  1. Smitty, you know I have a great deal of respect for you, but if I were a zombie, I’d be very insulted if you compared me to this bunch!

  2. “You got a no-talent rodeo clown who can’t produce a college transcript, and you’re confident he’ll negotiate lasting peace?”

The fact that people are so brainless that this has to be said is sad.

  3. So, for you “regime change”, and occupation of another Islamic country is the only option? And if you disagree with that youre a communist?

This is why we’re not listening to Republicans on foreign policy anymore.

  4. I’ve become partial to the pro-isolationist/bring the boys back home stance recently, but for an unusual reason:
Whatever the merits of any specific war, the US left will sabotage it at the first chance. The “Bush lied” routine was itself a lie, but look at all the damage it’s done.
The US military is hobbled by the knife in their back.
All we can do is wait until the world explodes, and point out exactly “how this happened” before we clean up the mess.

  5. Egypt, Libya, Syria, Iraq: just how much rudderless twaddle are you looking for in a foreign policy, before the need for some kind of coherent strategy becomes apparent?

  6. The way the Iran situation will play out is PATENTLY OBVIOUS:
Iran will cheat on any supposed deal. They will get nukes. That will spawn a nuclear arms race in the Middle East: the most unstable region on the planet.
The BEST case scenario is that Iran uses the bomb as a domestic shield while continuing its conventional aggression abroad.
The more-than-unlikely scenario is that some spark ignites a full nuclear war in the region.
This slippery slope could be avoided by denying Iran the bomb, but the left doesn’t want to do what needs to be done to stop that.

  7. Ya lost me, Smitty. I can’t figure out where this one is supposed to be going. Something about ValJar and the Iranians, but after that I got nuthin’.

  8. With all due respect, Smitty, the Zombie Anti-War Movement has no interest whatsoever in brains.

  9. And who says regime change or war are the only options?

Oh right, that was you. Well, I’ll let you get back to arguing with yourself. Be sure to let us know who wins.

  10. We need to be certain that we draft the leftist loonies that create the mess. It’s important they be required to clean up the mess they make.

  11. They’re not anti-war, they’re for the other side.

That’s why they’re not objecting to a nuclear Iran and Obama’s destabilization of half the nation’s from Afghanistan to Morrocco.

  12. Its our meddling that got us into this situation in the first place. And a coherent strategy? What does a coherent strategy look like? Sounds like you mean, control the region through military force.

  13. They declared the war on us,
but this you surely know by now.
But to hell with human lives.
Your party must come first somehow.

    Sell your country out, Jarrett.
    Sell your grandchildren’s destiny.
    Explain to them the wonders
    of jihad nuclear weaponry

    Regale them with your efforts
    to replace our loyal allies.
    With a murderous regime
and untold years of blood and lies.

One thing may yet save them all
from a world under nuclear threat.
That thing is war, Ms. Jarrett
Thanks to you, it’s now a sure bet.

  14. So, our meddling in that part of the world has been a huge success? You don’t need to Zinn to realize our interventionism is a disaster.

  15. Since you feel there is no diplomatic solution then war was the only option anyway. So why the whining?

  16. Why are you whining? Who knows.

Why you pretend to know what I feel is the bigger mystery.

But yeah, the *was* a diplomatic solution. barack the foreign policy dunce took it off the table and just gave away the store. He’s the one bringing out more war here.

  17. Pretending it’s “meddling” is the hilarious part. The Zinnsters of the world don’t really care of course, as long as they can demonize for something, they will demonize away.

  18. Why I pretend to know what you feel?

You just wrote a stupid little poem about it.

The GOP never wanted any deal at all. They want a war.

  19. It is meddling, and the agenda has always been oil, and I suppose new markets, and labor sources for our corporations.

  20. Nice ahistorical viewpoint. The last line is seriously funny. I’d accuse you of simply pretending to be a lefty troll if you continued in that vein.

I’m sure the vast number of Arabs hired by “corporations” would laugh along with you. If they existed.

  21. Now you can mind read an entire party!!! Man, your vast superpowers ought to have made you World Dictator for Life already.

When demonization is all you have, you don’t have anything at all.

  22. I just wish they had better comedy.

You could put all of the knowledge the left has of world history into a very thin pamphlet.

  23. I want some of what you are smoking. It obviously has you completely anesthetized and we’re going to need a lot of it to face the world Zer0 is building.
There’s going to be war and it will come because you libtards can’t get anything right.

  24. Pollack is firmly attached to reality on this matter. The Iranians are as bad as any rogue regime in the past. Getting rid of that lot would solve a lot of problems.
It won’t happen, alas, because Zer0 is simply too much of a coward to face reality and do what is necessary.

  25. Yeah, Bush/Cheney got it right. That’s why we’re in this situation. They’re Iraq adventure has lead to these outcomes.

  26. Attached to reality? Reality is a war against Iran would the biggest foreign policy blunder the world has ever known, and this includes the massive blunders in Vietnam, and Iraq. After Iraq the consequences of what an Iranian war would look like should be obvious. thats not eventing into account the domestic turmoil we would experience. It would effectively break the country. An occupation of Iran would mean death and carnage on a scale not seen since World War 2. Anyone who thinks that’s a better option than the diplomatic one is insane.

  27. Yes, USA good! Everyone else? BAD! That’s history of the United States from conservatives. Oh, wait, and Ronnie Raygun was the greatest American President ever!

  28. Why, yes: if only the peabrainednut farmer and his ugly sweater hadn’t aided the “eye-hat-toll-laas” (<– NB:semi-phonetic spelling…)!

    Darn those (conservative/constitutional-originalist) Republicans!
    And their bucolic plantations!
    And their slaves!
    And their KKK!
And the horse they rode in on, too!

  29. I hear eighth-page pamphlets are cheap at most chain-store printers…

I just know that there will be a lot of difficulty fitting all they know on a one-eighth page pamphlet… I suggest 60-point type…
    ;~)?

  30. Far better, and far more accurate, than anything you insane leftists spew in your idoc classes. I take nothing you morons say seriously as it is almost uniformly wrong. Your raving here is no different.

  31. I know of no one that is wanting war against Iran. What I do see is that we have an idiot for POTUS who is placing us in a position to force us into war.

As already pointed out. Moron in the White House has already shot his wad on the diplomatic route. He’s sold us out, along with teh rest of the mid-east, and, unless I miss my guess, the entire world will find itself at the mercy of the idiocy perpetrated by Zer0 and John Effing Kerry and their monumental stupidity that doesn’t even rise to the level of Chamberlain’s betrayal. If you think Zer0 and Kerry have been wise, then you are an utter retard.

  32. I, along with many conservatives, were against going into Iraq. No one asked me, and I will point out that most of the congressional left voted to go in right along with the Neo-cons. So, the left bears the burden as well, like it or not.

Since they didn’t ask me, we can only deal with the world as it is. And not hold Iran’s feet to teh fire is an act of utter inanity, something this maladministration is quite good at, all the while pretending they are so smart.

Zer0 has shown he is both weak and cowardly, not to mention and utter effing idiot. About like all of the left.

  33. It wouldn’t matter if you used 100 point type. The volume would still be vanishingly small.

  34. Ab-so-freakin-lutely.
Sure, they’ll whine and try to make themselves useless, but there’s always a need for bullet sponges.

  35. In recent years, it’s become obvious that US troops deployed in the ME are as much hostages as soldiers.
That’s why we don’t deploy any troops:
    We nuke Iran.

  36. Not to quibble, but *I* want a war with Iran…as long as it’s nuclear, and we strike before they get the bomb.
But then, I’m a bit less peaceful than most people. I realize my opinion is in the minority.
