Where Do They Get All Those Great Movie Ideas? Of Course: They Steal Them!

A pretty interesting list:

There have been 11 feature films released by Pixar, starting with 1995’s “Toy Story” and running all the way through 2010’s “Toy Story 3”. And, believe it or not, all 11 of them have been accused of ripping off the plot of another movie.

You can’t copyright a narrative arc, or else everyone who ever wrote a “meet cute” romantic comedy would be sued by Nora Ephron. Still, the resemblance between the robot in “Short Circuit” and the robot in “WALL-E” is probably too great to be mere coincidence.
