Via Insty and NRO, a petition to keep the name USS Enterprise in commission, rather than have various other news- or sympathy-worthy figures move in.
The Ruling Class would prefer you to lose all sense of history, and live in a ‘managed’ present tense.

The biggest mil honchos who have any say in the matter should insist that the next new ship is to be called Enterprise.  Period.  End of story.  Threaten a squid attack (meaning Smitty) on anyone who tries to change the rule.
