‘Real’ Conservatives Of The Sunshine State, Crist Edition

Former Florida Governor and Anderson Cooper wannabee Charlie Crist was on The Shark Tank’s radar:

Crist recently gave a ‘full-throated’ endorsement of Senator Bill Nelson over Connie Mack, and Speaker Weatherford offered his take on Crist’s “evolution”-

I guess it’s his coming out party, so to speak, so he is coming out and letting people know where he really stands philosophically-I don’t think it surprised a lot of us- he governed as a Democrat.

Seeing Crist gaily tread the Arlen Specter Trail just goes to show: you can lead a man to Chick-Fil-A, but you can’t do much about his Dairy Queen cravings.

I am less concerned with Charlie’s taste (and lies) about after hour companionship than I am with his day glow orange color that makes John Boehner look downright pale in comparison.  What is up with that?  I know Florida loves its oranges, but generally not as a skin color of choice.

Anyone who takes Crist seriously as some sort of Republican (let alone conservative) has not been paying attention.

Keeping Crist from the assuming the mantle of Olympia Snowe redeems Florida from it’s complicity in denying military servicemembers the vote in 2000.

I lived in Florida for 30 years. I got to know a lot of politicians as 13 of those 30 years were spent in Tallahassee.  Mr. Crist is a political opportunist of the highest order.  He’ll back anything or anyone he thinks will  benefit him politically.

The past several years have brought that to the forefront.  He will, like almost ALL politicians do or say, whatever he thinks will benefit him…he’s not to be trusted and his brand is badly tarnished.  That should be evident from the pasting he took from Marco Rubio in 2010.
