Our Moral Superiors So Seldom Condescend to Address Us Directly

Sara Alcid: Infinitely superior to the typical American.

“And now apparently shocked at the ‘intimidation’ of being quoted on the Internet, Ms. Alcid has protected her tweets — a victim, no doubt, of ‘patriarchal oppression.'”
— Donald Douglas, American Power

Recently, I began referring to liberals as Our Moral Superiors, because that’s who they think they are. If you’ve ever read Thomas Sowell’s The Vision of the Anointed, you understand that their policies are an expression of moral narcissism: By advocating liberalism, they demonstrate to themselves how much better they are than everyone else, and they expect to be admired for this.

Who could possibly be more superior than a Queer Feminist like Sara Alcid, who attended prestigious Bryn Mawr College (undergraduate tuition $42,870 a year), had the honor of associating with leading queer-theory feminist author Judith Butler — “superstar“! — and then became a programs and policy associate of the Reproductive Health Technologies Project, and a writer for Everyday Feminism, warning against the evils of traditional Valentine’s Day celebrations — heteronormativity, gender roles and systems of domination, you know.

Is it correct to say that Sara Alcid hates everything we hold dear? Wouldn’t it be more accurate to call her attitude contempt?

We are so far beneath her, she can’t even notice us enough to hate us.

Perhaps you see why, when this eminent young alumna of elite Bryn Mawr took time from her busy day to call me “disgusting,” I decided to reply with a little bit more than 140 characters.

Sara Alcid is better than you, because she’s a Queer Feminist who attended a prestigious college, and you’re not. She is so much better than you that you can’t even comprehend her vast superiority, her erudition, her knowledge of advanced philosophies that only the most sophisticated minds can ever hope to understand. You are just an ignorant, inarticulate, hate-filled bigot — a typical American — and you are so insignificant that Sara Alcid can’t be bothered to notice.

Every day, Sarah Alcid and her Queer Feminist friends “work to critique and dismantle” those “systems of domination” — religion, marriage, family, free enterprise — that the typical American loves. They claim to do this in the name of “equality,” but what they’re actually doing is demonstrating their own superiority, their authority to take away from you everything that you hold dear and thus to arrogate to themselves complete power over you.

Sarah Alcid deserves this authority. Sarah Alcid is entitled to this power.

You deserve nothing and you have no rights, and if you dare to speak back to Sarah Alcid, this just proves you’re a hater.

Last night, Sarah Alcid switched her Twitter account to “protected” status, so  that no one who disagrees with her can see her messages.

Was it as good for you as it was for me, Sara?

UPDATE: Sara Alcid has now unprotected her Twitter account and, as Badger Pundit chronicles, her friends are telling her to report me to the FBI, because disagreeing with a feminist — “How dare you!” — is obviously some sort of hate crime.

  1. I love when Stacy’s angry. She looks so normal too. It brings to mind: You can’t judge a book by its cover.

  2. re: the text on her little sign. HOW is any of that a homosexual issue…aside from all liberals’ comprehensive anti-life/death worship thing, I mean?

  3. You know, it’s tough to put yourself out there and argue and not take it personally. When I was fresh out of college, I sure wouldn’t have wanted to tangle with someone as experienced in public discourse as RSM. I’d guess that kids these days are used to discussions on, e.g., facebook, where things are basically friendly. And friends often don’t call friends on their bullshit, not the way that strangers on the internet do.

Hopefully, she’ll take this opportunity to thicken her skin and think through her positions and arguments. But probably, it will just be confirmation of her apparent persecution complex.

  4. You are just an ignorant, inarticulate, hate-filled bigot — a typical American — and you are so insignificant that Sara Alcid can’t be bothered to notice.

Nor can “Justice” Kennedy of SCOTUS. He used nearly the identical terms to describe people who oppose queer marriage.

  5. So, this young woman has basically lived her life (so far) in an attempt to receive validation from the “completely dysfunctional” wing of humanity. This is accomplished, it appears, by willfully succumbing to the delusion that fighting the ill-defined “patriarchy” is the functional equivalent of charging a machine gun nest on Omaha Beach. Sure, honey. Knock yourself out.

  6. Holy effin’ hell. “Bryn Mawr”???

    BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA (gasp, wheeze) BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA…….

  7. Sara Alcid and her enablers: giving women a bad name. This ridiculous “activist,” i.e., one who expects no criticism for the admittedly provocative positions that she espouses, is having a pity party on Twitter. She’s going to report RSM to his domain host for posting “personal” info, which he did not do. You feminists are embarrassing yourselves. You are not intellectuals, you are lazy thinkers who pat each other on the back and tweet smiley faces to each other as a substitute for rigorous discourse.

  8. You’d think they’d be happy that someone outside of their circle jerk had heard of them.

Oh, well, at least she opened up her twitter feed. Not sure what she was trying to hide there…

  9. You should check out that Reproductive Health Technologies Project. Putting aside all the mushmouth, it appears to be a bunch of pale women of privilege doing their best to keep their feckless brown sisters from reproducing so much.

  10. Yes. Poor little ol’ Sara just has no clue what little ol’ she could have done to earn a blog post! She was just mindin’ her own business, sent out a tweet calling RSM “disgusting,” and, dang, if he didn’t refuse to eat that crap sandwich like a good boy, roll over and apologize! Instead, he made fun of her!

  11. She will become more convinced of her victimhood. Poor, poor little privileged lesbian, so convinced of her superiority yet convinced she is a victim. Typical leftists asshattery.

  12. They live inside a bubble where everyone agrees with them, and so when a 25-year-old idiot with 700 Twitter followers decides she’s going to condemn a professional journalist with 20,000 Twitter followers, the resulting mismatch is a hate crime.

It cannot be (they think to themselves) that their views are controversial, and that there are articulate people who disagree with them. No one in their Women’s Studies departments warned them about this.

  13. I concur, but it would be better to say that Stacy is an expert on baiting. That way, you avoid the (possibly) unintended pun.

  14. I usually look upon homosexuality as an unfortunate condition, an accident of birth, a genetic deformity. In the case of Sara Alcid, I view it as a great benefit to society: she won’t reproduce.

  15. She can take comfort that the Streisand effect is named after a woman, right? Unless that’s just more patriarchal oppression. It’s hard to keep up (that’s what she said) with this stuff.

  16. You forget, there’s adoption and artificial insemination out there so she doesn’t have to be subjected to the domination of the penetrative phallocracy.

  17. Oh, she’s “subjected to the domination,” all right — at least in the form of guys telling her she’s nuts.

  18. It’s worse, of course, than “not being warned.” It’s part of the leftist indoctrination that any contradiction is not just incorrect but morally wrong by definition (you’ve touched on this before, and it should be obvious to anyone paying attention).

So you’re not articulate, just more verbose in your phobiosity.

Of course, the twitter traffic I’ve seen in her feed has her and several others responding to what they imagine you wrote instead of what you actually wrote. Maybe Bryn Mawr should spend more time on reading comprehension.

  19. Bob Filner, Bill Clinton and Anthony “Carlos Danger” Weiner are the reasons for SlutWalk. But, as Feminists know to be true, you can’t bite the hand when you’re busy smelling the glove.

  20. Young feminists strive to be the next Sandra Fluke – desparate for attention from El Rushbo.
Whether it’s Bill Clinton or Rush Limbaugh, Feminists can’t go a day without attention from a man.
