Kaitlyn Hunt: Obsessed Lesbian Predator?

A hearing has been scheduled Tuesday:

Accused sex offender Kaitlyn Hunt will appear in a Florida courtroom Tuesday for a hearing on charges that she violated terms of her pretrial release by contacting the underage girl with whom she is accused of having an illegal lesbian affair. In a motion filed Thursday in Indian River County, prosecutors said Hunt, 19, sent “lewd” photos and a pornographic video of herself masturbating to the younger girl. . . .
Hunt has remained free on $5,000 bond since her arrest, but at a hearing scheduled for Tuesday in Vero Beach, prosecutors will present evidence to Circuit Court Judge Robert Pegg that Hunt has violated terms of her release. Prosecutors from state attorney Bruce Colton‘s office are expected to argue that Hunt’s bond should be revoked and she should be jailed until her trial, which had been scheduled for September, but has since been postponed. . . .

[Prosecutors’ account of how Hunt violated the no-contact order] if proved true in court, shows that Hunt is obsessed with her victim, that she is exhibiting predatory behavior, and that she is attempting to obstruct justice by pressuring her victim into silence.

How does someone get that messed up? What happened to Kaitlyn Hunt to turn her into a sociopathic sex freak? And in other news:

    Seriously, there is something drastically wrong with her, she acts as if the situation she’s in is a) purely made up, b) not her doing and c) no big deal. She’s never heard the adage that the thing to do when you’re stuck in a hole is to stop digging. We’re dealing with Lindsey Lohan levels of obtuseness here.

  4. I am confused about where the younger girl’s parents are and why they have allowed this contact from the perverted older female to go on for so long. Are they parenting their obviously troubled young daughter or not?

    Clearly, L’il Kate’s parents are nut jobs but something doesn’t strike me as quite right about the other set of parents in this drama.

    You can bet I would have had my daughter’s phone and laptop in my hand several times a day reviewing her activity had this insanity happened in my home.

  6. The allegation is that Hunt snuck an iPod into the younger girl’s locker so they could surreptitiously text each other, which would explain why her parents didn’t know about it.

  8. Lohan is very self destructive, no doubt. Miss Hunt is a budding psychopath. They have no regard for consequences like Frankenstein’s monster. Like the notorious doctor her parents are codependent. The doctor knowing his creation has murdered still tries to defend it. The Hunts, like Frankenstein, don’t deny the offense.

  11. While I never had much sympathy for the lovely Miss Hunt, I did think that it was mostly hormonal teen lust run amok. But Miss Hunt’s behavior, if accurately reported, is way beyond teen lust; it’s reached pathological obsession levels.

    It’s one thing to fall in lust with someone underaged, especially if you are just a little way out of being a minor yourself, but to persist in contact when it means going to jail is pathological.

    I agree, it seems like they’re not paying attention enough – but their daughter’s been having a _lot_ of adult help in evading their authority.

  13. I’m willing to give her the benefit of the doubt that it’s not like that.

    I suspect it started as a lark, possibly even a “hazing” sort of thing, and then as the legal implications loomed, became a strategy to ensure the “right” testimony and to keep tabs on what information the authorities might have.

    You might note that it took 5 months for the ruse to be discovered – and that might have a lot to do with why these massively generous plea deals keep getting rejected out of hand.

    I suspect the victim has been coached and encouraged to show incredible psychic trauma, in an effort to “get this over with/drop it”.

    It would fit in with the released information and (admittedly pulled quotes).

  18. As I said last night during a podcast with Ali, the court is likely to order a psychiatric evaluation of Kaitlyn — after conviction, pre-sentencing — and I would be shocked if the Department of Children and Families doesn’t investigate Kelley’s family.

    What’s weird is that Steve and Kelley both seem to have the idea that Kaitlyn’s behavior is normal and healthy.

  22. Of course there is a pattern. “Special Snowflake Syndrome” in action. Whatever the snowflake wants they are given, forgiven or excused. This causes the snowflake to believe with their entire being that they are entitled to act or do anything they want whenever they want to whomever they want without consequences. When reality hits them in the face at some point in their lives, they become angry and disgruntled leftist activists …

  23. There is no biological evidence that sex can be an addiction like alcohol or drugs. A recent study, and I mean it was published this summer, showed that when people who claim to be sex addicts are presented with stimuli (photos, videos), there brains do not show activity in the areas that indicate addiction. So, sex addiction is a bunch of baloney.

    That being said, I do believe, as does a PhD family therapist friend of mine, that it is highly indicative of other emotional or psychological problems. In highly sexualized predatory teenagers, it is often (but not always) indicative of some form of abuse, including sexual abuse. Like Stacy said, if she is convicted, part of sentencing should be a thorough psych eval. There is something seriously wrong with that family, and it sounds generational.

  27. Something that I hope Stacy covers at some point in his shoe leather reporting is the bizarre and dysfunctional supporters that this “cause” has attracted. There are the usual young, non-thinking kids who jump on any bandwagon that sounds good, but I expect that. Nevertheless, the whole FreeKate movement has attracted an unusually large number of middle aged males, and bizarrely enough, mothers of young kids who keep thinking that fingering 14 year olds is “dating” and “love.”

    I refuse to say that Kate and her victim dated. Dates involve going to the movies, out to eat, meeting the parents, etc. They do not involve luring minors into public restrooms and having finger sex, or helping them run away from home.

  30. You hit it right on, Stacy. That’s the outrageous angle here: Kaitlyn’s mother seems to believe (or has convinced herself to believe) that this is normal teenage behavior.

    My daughter went through a year-and-a-half-long spell where she thought rebelliousness, pot-smoking, staying out very late, skipping school, and massive, dreadful confrontations with her mother were “normal adolescent behavior”. Thank God she came out of it (with a lot of Divine and professional-Earthly intervention), but the particularly galling part of it was her belief, a widely-held one among her peers and even some of their parents, that it was all “normal”. And therefore, “acceptable”. And therefore, “what’s the big deal?”

    Accountability rules. I hope the courts hold Kaitlyn and her mother accountable. It’s the only hope we have that they’ll learn from this and drop the faulty thinking and destructive behavior.

  32. You pose a valid question. However, as mentioned above, when you have a society, as evidenced by the perpetrator’s family, the media, progressive “victim” organizations, etc., minimizing the behavior and trying to subvert the law, it is easy to see how the young girl’s parents’ attempts to protect her could be subverted. There is a whole lot of evil going on here, but unfortunately, not all of the persons engaged in it will be facing jail time.

  33. Ace finally weighed in on this case last evening. It was amazing that there are still those who few this as “normal” adolescent behavior. From a sociological standpoint, I would only say, we reap what we sow. On one hand, society encourages, facilitates and celebrates sexual behavior among people who by definition cannot be trusted to drive a car or sign a legal document. Yet, when these adolescents act upon society’s encouragement, the law steps in with grievous consequences. We cannot have it both ways, and the those who seek to completely obliterate the institutions of marriage and the traditional family know this. Cases like this will continue to be used as evidence for the necessity of eliminating all social and legal sexual taboos. Once that happens, we’re done as a nation and a civilization. We teter on the edge of the abyss. Unfortunately, most of the useful idiots who see this as a “Romeo and Juliet” situation are completely oblivious.

  34. “[A] lot of adult help,” indeed. If you follow Jeanette Runyon’s twitter, she is posting from the FreeKate FB account. One woman posting as “Jessica Simms” is encouraging the minor to pursue legal emancipation, and concludes with “I’m sure there are ways for her to receive contact of great lawyers interested in her cause.” Once again, this is getting awfully close to witness tampering. How many of these worshipers knew what was going on the past few months and facilitated it?
