‘And It Just Blew Up’

Heteropatriarchal slut-shaming? Hell, I thought I was just making fun of a celebrity, until @Andria_XX enlightened me, and she had no idea what hit her when her Twitter timeline blew up with reactions to her Master’s degree in Gender Studies mini-lecture.

So now it’s “cyberbullying” and “rage tourism” of which I’m accused.

Let’s explain to @Andria_XX what happened: Sooper Mexican was searching Twitter for reactions to the Miley Cyrus VMA performance, and found that “heteropatriarchal” comment and Zilla Tweeted it to my attention. I had been working on something else, but once I saw that, I said, “This other thing can wait,” and did a Miley Cyrus post to highlight that ludicrous jargon: “heteropatriarchal.”

That’s not a word normal people use, which is why the question occurred to me, “Who is this person?” And . . . Gender Studies.

Quod erat demonstrandum.

OK, so @Andria_XX had fewer than 200 followers and had never in her life gotten as much Twitter attention as she got this morning.

It’s like when I got Tweeted by Alyssa Milano or William Shatner — except not in a good way — so she freaked out.

But she wasn’t being cyberbullied or stalked, she just happened to be the person who had the Stupidest Twitter Comment of the Day.

Did I mention that @Andria_XX is Canadian? No, but she did:

Actually in Canada, which again is where I live, you can be criminally charged for twitter harassment.

Very well, then. I do a blog post about you. You do a blog post about me. Who is harassing whom, @Andria_XX?

  1. >Actually in Canada, which again is where I live, you can be criminally charged for twitter harassment.

Well, I live in ‘Merica where not making me a sammich is criminal negligence. Somebody better get the meat and mayo flying.

  2. Stacy, in one of her tweets she referred to you as the *ringleader.” I need more popcorn. Plus, I used to work in Canada and it is strange up there, very strange.

  3. I read on the internet she has nice mammary glands. It’s a good thing I don’t believe everything I read on the internet like Jeanette. lol

  4. Let me explain it to @Andria_XX: Your PC speech is funny. That you do not perceive it as funny makes it even funnier.

Heteropatriarchial? I used to just say “Dad.” Crazy!

    Crazy even for Canada!

  5. A Reuben sounds good right now. Toasted rye, Russian dressing, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, pastrami…. I am so hungry. I better pull out a switch and get the ol’ brood mare to rustle one up. Ptooey! That was me spittin’ out some chewin’ tobbackey. Yep, Andriaxx sher has Tea Partiers pegged, she does. All the way from Canada.

  6. It sure has exposed the insulated cocoon in which leftists live. People on the right have been treated like crap for years, so they just spit in your eye if you start messing with them.

  7. My paternal family is Canadian in fact they are one of the “Founder Families” of New Brunswick I’m sure that will annoy her

  8. And it best be Pastrami, (the real kind, not that Turkey crap either), on Rye with Provolone Cheese and Spicy Honey Mustard, toasted, and a beer would be nice, too. Please be quick about it, eh?

  9. don’t you also have some Native blood? In Canada they call it First Peoples. That will really tick her off if you do. Canadians like her walk around in a massive guilt bubble.

  10. I really have to work on a Create-a-Cultural-Marxist Word Maker, where you can change out a prefix, root word, and suffix to make an all-new Cultural Marxist keyword to use in your next Social Justice term paper!

  11. I’d love to get back to Brooklyn to that little deli that made one of the best Reubens I’ve ever had. Trouble is, if I did, the wife would be p!ssed at me for breaking the low salt, low cholesterol, low fat, low carb low fun diet the doc has me on. *whine*

  12. Everything in moderation. Do not deny your heteropatriarchal side. Or do what I do, take a lipitor and sneak out after she goes to bed.

  13. Believing, or worse yet acting, as though we live in this sort of society is as bad as seeing racism where it doesn’t exist.

All it does is inflames tensions. It willfully fails to recognize the remarkably strides we have actually made in these areas and starts to push us backwards.

A special thanks to everyone’s favorite POTUS for his invaluable contribution to setting the race debate back by decades.
