You Stay Classy, Atheists!

Dana Perino was on Fox News discussing a lawsuit by atheists who don’t like kids having to say “under God” in the Pledge of Allegiance:

“I’m tired of them. I remember working at the Justice Department years ago when I first started right after 9/11 and a lawsuit like this came through, and before the day had finished, the United States Senate and the House of Representatives had both passed resolutions saying that they were for keeping ‘under God’ in the pledge. . . . If these people really don’t like it, they don’t have to live here.”

A sample of the erudite atheist commentary in response:

And you wonder why ladies don’t want to go to atheist conferences? Atheists are so respectful, you f**king c**ts!

UPDATE: This is a recurrent theme with God-haters:

You can ask Michelle Malkin, Sarah Palin, Dana Loesch, Ann Coulter — any conservative woman who speaks on behalf of that which is good, true and decent will be bombarded with ugly filth from advocates of that which is evil, false and indecent, i.e., Democrats.

Democrat Party monsters even try to kill in the name of “social justice.” Because chicken sandwiches cause hate or something.

UPDATE II: What is it with Democrats and the “c-word,” huh?

  1. What kind of idiocy is this? No one has to say “under God.” No one even has to say the Pledge. No one is persecuting atheists. No one really cares.

I’m starting to think that an atheist is really an agnostic with daddy issues.

  2. Actually, I think this outpouring of atheist bile is wonderfully useful. Cuts right under all their pretense.

  3. They should just be happy with it. “Under God” covers everyone even the poo flinging Atheists. Richard Dawkins has similar issues describing his opposites. I think we are letting the State intrude into religion too much. Religion has its role, the state shouldn’t over reach. Just have faith that religion will do some things right. Stuff the state can’t do.

  4. I’m getting bombarded right now with fanatical, bent-out-of-shape atheists in my Twitter TL. It’s been amusing “chatting” with them, but I’ve got stuff to do today — like photograph zombies.

  5. How else can they establish their superiority over bigoted haters?

Thank God for Twitter, though. Without it, these people would have to say these things right to their target’s faces. Anyone spoke like that to me face to face, he’d be pissing blood and shitting teeth.

  6. Really demonstrates the fall of our society to it’s present low ebb. We once were a kind and classy country. We may have thought these things but would never, ever say them out loud! Too much respect for others and for ourselves.
A perfect example is the southern phrase “bless your heart”. A phrase most often used instead of invective or cuss words. Doesn’t specify any spiritual being offering the blessing, just a blessing.
For a brighter note, just remember, atheists haven’t a prayer!

  7. Remember, right-wingers, Christians etc are hateful bigots whose beliefs are stuck in the stone age. Our Moral Superiors are respectful, tolerant and all around better people because they’re too smart to believe in a God they can’t see. It’s Science or something.

Looks like more than a few didn’t get the memo. All this bilge sure wiped out that nonsense.

  8. Agnostic? Daddy issues? Maybe. Definitely a problem with authority figures and even bigger problems with the idea that they might be accountable to someone other than themselves.

  9. Increasingly, it looks like the left is obsessed with stopping “hate” because they are so full of it themselves.
