You Stay Classy, Atheists!

Dana Perino was on Fox News discussing a lawsuit by atheists who don’t like kids having to say “under God” in the Pledge of Allegiance:

“I’m tired of them. I remember working at the Justice Department years ago when I first started right after 9/11 and a lawsuit like this came through, and before the day had finished, the United States Senate and the House of Representatives had both passed resolutions saying that they were for keeping ‘under God’ in the pledge. . . . If these people really don’t like it, they don’t have to live here.”

A sample of the erudite atheist commentary in response:

And you wonder why ladies don’t want to go to atheist conferences? Atheists are so respectful, you f**king c**ts!

UPDATE: This is a recurrent theme with God-haters:

You can ask Michelle Malkin, Sarah Palin, Dana Loesch, Ann Coulter — any conservative woman who speaks on behalf of that which is good, true and decent will be bombarded with ugly filth from advocates of that which is evil, false and indecent, i.e., Democrats.

Democrat Party monsters even try to kill in the name of “social justice.” Because chicken sandwiches cause hate or something.

UPDATE II: What is it with Democrats and the “c-word,” huh?

  1. On a site where similar terrorism’s directed at baker who didn’t want to make a cake for a homosexual wedding, lefttards are calling this “free enterprise” — “THE FREE MARKET HAS SPOKEN!” because terrorist tactics of a few caused a thriving business to go under.

It’s just another platform for the left to use the “freedom of speech” excuse to take shots at conservatives. A lot of them probably aren’t even really atheists.

  2. I find it hard to respect the thoughts of a person or group that persists in insulting and using such crude language to try to insult a woman any woman.Shows the true character. If you do not want to say the words leave them out,we won’t mind nor will we notice. There all settled wasn’t that easy.

  3. A real atheist wouldn’t care one way or the other about the beliefs of others. They would be comfortable enough within their own beliefs ‘system.’ That being the problem; Atheism (yes capital ‘A’) is a belief system, a religion in and of itself.

  4. Unless you modify it beyond recognition, Christianity has no place on the left. It would be impossible to psychologically reconcile the beliefs and behaviors of the cult of deviance and death with the fact that someOne might be watching and taking notes who is not Santa.

  5. There are two kinds of atheists in my experience. The ones who do not believe in God, and the ones who believe in not-God. The latter are the bigots.

  6. I call them atheists and ‘fanatical’ Atheists. People like Richard Dawkins are fanatical because they push their views in the hopes of finding vindication because they are in fact very insecure.

  7. I agree with Chandler’s ghost. Nobody has to say the pledge or mention God. When I was a liberal high school student way back when I didn’t say it, and as far as I’m concerned people who toss the word “c***t simply because people don’t agree with them are sophomoric, crude and unimaginative. I’ve seen some conservatives use it, but never to the extent leftists so. War on Women!!

  8. Nonsense. Unless atheists are cutting off clits, throwing acid in faces, beheading and cannibalizing people. And there is no radical pisslam, it’s just pisslam.

  9. Waiting for NOW to step in an defend Perino.

    5,4,3,2,1….
    (Crickets)

I guess if Perino had been an fat, ugly, lesbian feminist at a slut-walk, someone with a Master’s Degree in Feminist Studies would have stepped up to defend her by now.

Oh, and sorry for the repitition.
    (fat, ugly, lesbian, feminist)

  10. That’s a lot of people off their lithium. Usually when neo-pagans go off theirs, they imagine they’re having trips to the astral plane. When pseudo-atheists go off theirs, they imagine they are “intellectuals” rather than just psychotic.

Why has there seemed to be a recent uptake in people in desperate need of hospitalization lately? That’s a whole lot of cray cray from people who pretend their “lack of religion” grants them instant intelligence.

  11. You might not have such a hard time of it if you were his friend and he found out you weren’t an atheist, from what I’m told.

  12. I call them “pseudo-atheists” since self-obsession elevated to self-worship is not, in fact, atheism; it’s a New Age self-worship cult. That observation really seems to inspire the butthurt.

  13. Those who worship government are not atheists.

They’re socialists. It’s an entirely different system of belief.

  14. There are two kinds of atheists: those who are angry at God because something bad happened to them/family/friend but will call a priest for last rites, and those who wish their conscience didn’t annoy them so much while they do whatever they will. The evangelical atheists are not atheist, but willing servants of anti-Christ.
Is it any wonder 99 out of 100 serial killers, and almost all teachers who rape their students, and most of the prison population in the US of A are atheists when they commit their acts?

  15. Unknown. Any word that serves to emotionally rape a woman is acceptable to these anti-christs. I feel bad for their daughters.

  16. There’s a lot of unemployed people who have a lot of time on their hands, and who wonder why other folks have jobs, wives, lives, and seem to weather storms.

  17. What a bunch of thin skinned whiny little bitches those Godless commie pinko d-bag jackasses truly are. Toughen up and get over it, ya stupid babies, you are as bad as the damned flaming mo jihadis and that tiny terrorist Brett Kimberlin when it comes to the enormity of small things that will give you a raging case of the ButtHurt. Get some preparation H and grow up, ya freakin’ weenies.

  18. Unless they want to pay my Troll Toll, I block every single one of those asshats who want to harass me. Because trolling teh Zilla is not a “right”, it is a privilege, and it is a privilege which only I can grant and that I will only consider granting for a very large fee. I highly encourage all of my friends to embrace the Zilla of the Resistance Troll Management System; as it is very effective.

  19. I draw my opinions from publicly available material. One can presume a lot “from what I’m told” but who presume from that when 99.9% of publicly available material implies otherwise.
P.S. I also assume that Glenn Beck is a good guy.

  20. We always had a Jehovah’s Witness or two in the class who got to sit out the pledge. The other kids just thought “that’s weird” and forgot about it. No one got picked on over it, even. (That would have changed had the JW parents taken the school to court.) Certainly any parent who cared can also send a note that excuses their atheist child from saying the pledge. Why is it so necessary to make everyone *else* follow your rules?

  21. Personally, I do have a bit of skepticism concerning the necessity for the “under God” part of the pledge (separation of church and state is there for a good reason, and we already live in a society inundated with cult like, ideological thinking or non-thinking as it were; I could see where somebody might someday like to twist this into a “Gott mit uns” sort of thing, and that would be quite bad) — because I am highly skeptical of religious systems (they do have a tendency to attract rather extreme thinking from time to time, which isn’t at all beneficial). I would also look askance upon someone who told me I had a problem for thinking this way, and worse, should leave my country due to it (then again, I’m not raising a ruckus…at this point).
However, it isn’t something that demands calling people the c-word, or even getting bent out of shape over it.
Atheism for many has taken on all the less attractive aspects of fanatical religiousity for many — which gives me one more thing to view skeptically I guess.

  22. The “separation of church and state” is one of the most misrepresented myths in American history. As they do with the Bible, atheists quote Thomas Jefferson when they believe he supports them, and forget Thomas Jefferson when he doesn’t. The ghost of Lord Baltimore is appalled, as are those of the Puritans
In American today church and state are inseparable. For example, the current Secretary of the Interior declared that no one who doesn’t believe in Anthropogenic Global Warming will not be working for DOI. If you work for the EPA, you affirm a philosophy that is a syncretistism of Gaia-worship and Christianity, to wit: all humans are evil, and nothing a human does in the course of living is of benefit to Gaia. And need we discuss child sacrifice, in the millions, to the gods of hedonism?

  23. “He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.”

    John 12:40
Remember, atheists are blind and completely lost. It is an agonizing way to live – their vile hatred spews out straight from the core of their heart. They should be pitied – they are the lost.

  24. No, we don’t. Suffice to say that I’m leery of anything that smacks of fanaticism — no matter where it comes from.
You seem to have misinterpreted me as someone who has a beef with Christianity in general; I don’t. Now, people who take it to the bizarre outer fringes are, in my estimation, really no better than any other extreme ideological view in my mind — and should not be let around the reins of power any more than Gaia worshipers…in fact, I could argue that they have quite forgotten their own scriptures’ warnings about doing that very thing.
And no, I’m not at all saying that this is what is going on here (other than some very deranged responses on that Twitter thing from some so-called atheists) — but it is important to remember that human nature has a tendency to get a bit fanatical and be on guard against it (as appears to be well exemplified above).
