The Sex Charge Against Brett Kimberlin @NealRauhauser Wanted You to See

Click here or click the image to see the complete document:

Brett Kimberlin’s estranged wife filed those charges on July 29, and I reported the charges she filed. The charges were subsequently dropped, for reasons unclear to me, but Brett Kimberlin has sued me and four others, claiming he is a victim of “malicious prosecution, conspiracy to abuse process, defamation, false light invasion of privacy, harassment, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and stalking.”

Then, predictably, the online entities of “Team Kimberlin” began boasting online about how everything alleged by convicted perjurer and pro se litigant Brett Kimberlin is certainly true and the defendants are undeniably guilty. Team Kimberlin (including Bill Schmalfeldt, Neal Rauhauser, @BreitbartUnmask and @x3n0ph0n) claimed to possess knowledge of proceedings in the case, alleging that I had been “served” in Maryland (false) and asserting that Ali Akbar was “dodging” service in the case (he is not). All of this pro-Kimberlin activity, you understand, undermines a key allegation in the Kimberlin v. Walker et al. lawsuit, namely that the defendants have defamed him by describing the activities of “Team Kimberlin.”

Kimberlin’s association with Bill Schmalfeldt and Neal Rauhauser is an easily demonstrated fact, and the coordinated actions of @BreitbartUnmask and @x3n0ph0n are similarly provable.

Neal Rauhauser at Netroots Nation conference, 2010.

It should not be forgotten that Rauhauser’s connection to Kimberlin was what originally inspired my interest in this story. But Neal can’t help bragging, and so he went online to claim that the sex charge Kimberlin’s estranged wife filed on July 29 was a “smear,” a “fake rape charge,” for which the Kimberlin v. Walker, et al. lawsuit was deserved punishment:

This is not the first time that Rauhauser’s habitual bragging has hurt Kimberlin (see my Sept. 17 post, “BOOM: Neal Rauhauser Admits Playing Key Role in Brett Kimberlin Lawsuit“), but Rauhauser evidently shares Kimberlin’s belief that a $1 million lawsuit will shut me up while his various associates help Kimberlin create yet another phony “Accuse the Accusers” narrative. This has been the pattern going back more than two years — ask Patterico about the frivolous lawsuit Neal Rauhauser incited Nadia Naffe to file — and it would seem to be Neal and Brett’s belief they can keep running this game forever.

No, you can’t. It’s going to stop. Kimberlin will lose his lawsuit, and Neal Rauhauser’s dishonest harassment is part of the reason why.

Everybody go read the details in the document Brett Kimberlin’s estranged wife filed July 29, and then compare my coverage:

Was my reporting and commentary justified by the descriptions in the document? And, in light of previous reporting about Kimberlin, was this implausible? Furthermore, did it not seem likely that Kimberlin might seek to harm or intimidate his estranged wife in retaliation for her having made these accusations against him? So if these charges were subsequently withdrawn, is it not possible that his estranged wife was coerced or intimidated into dropping the charges?

Go read the the petition for a domestic protection order that Kimberlin’s estranged wife filed on July 7, a development in this strange story that I did not report until July 9. Kimberlin’s wife says she left him in December — seven months before I knew anything about her — and I never saw her in person until the day of the July 29 hearing.

So exactly how Brett Kimberlin, a convicted perjurer, imagines he will prove that my coverage of this story constitutes “malicious prosecution, conspiracy to abuse process, defamation, false light invasion of privacy, harassment, intentonal infliction of emotional distress, and stalking” is certainly mysterious.

Maybe he thinks he can lie his way through it.

But if that lying creep Brett Kimberlin thinks he can make me shut up because I’m afraid of him or Neal Rauhauser or Bill Schmaleldt or any other idiots who have signed up for Team Kimberlin, he is sadly mistaken, because that is a game that Homey does not play.

I had no plans to publish that document, and if Brett Kimberlin wants to blame anyone beside himself, he can blame Neal Rauhauser.

  1. So, we have NR on the record as having assisted BK. We have a deranged Cyberstalker setting up a Cafe Press page with Team Kimberlin gear, that is also emblazoned with “Breitbart Unmasked.” The Cafe Press page states that BS is a proud member of Team Kimberlin. Odd that BS, BU, and NR aren’t mentioned in BK’s suit if he finds the term Team Kimberlin to be so offensive. It strikes me that these people are not used to others fighting back.

  2. It was stupid as hell of Kimberlin to sue me in the first place. I mean, “conspiracy,” REALLY?

Sure, like I “conspired” with the Calhoun High School Boosters Club to cover their basketball tournaments, 1987-1990.

For Rauhauser then to get online and start bragging and taunting about this lawsuit? That was even more stupid. Neal likely imagined that I’d play the Good Little Defendant while he and the various Team Kimberlin trolls did their usual smear job.

    Guess again.

A little secret, Neal: I’m innocent. You’re not.

  3. I feel so sorry for Tetyana. My opinion is she was scared Kimberlin would win custody of the girls and then rape/molest them as he allegedly did her, and as he is suspected to have done to the girl in Indiana.

  4. Opinions and suspicions are one thing. Facts are another. I wonder how Brett imagines he will prove I did things I didn’t do?

  5. He has not imagined that at all. The only thing he imagined was shutting you up. Now that that hasn’t worked, well, who knows what he is capable of or what his strategy will be.

  6. Bill Schmalfeldt is the Barrett Brown train wreck. I suspect that Kimberlin will be another matter entirely. He won’t go down easy.

  7. True – except that, in NR’s little world, his boasting is a good thing.

That man is truly bizarre. I can’t read too much of his material before I begin to have that feeling: “Am I crazy? Am *I* crazy?” Because his material appears to originate from a separate universe from the one I – and most of the rest of humanity – inhabit.

  8. How?

The thing is, BK can say any number of things, but when he has to document them? That is quite a different story.

  9. It’s complicated, but Neal will photoshop things and then send tweets and emails around that make him and others appear as the “victim”. He will also preemptively send emails to courts and other people he believes to have influence over a certain matter and attempt to appear perfectly sane. While attempting to make his enemy appear mentally unstable.

I recently found out from one of my wicked smart friends that he has actually done this before.

    More than once.

  10. I just punched “deranged cyberstalker” into a search engine and Bill Schmalfeldt’s name came up. Imagine that.

  11. I am not going to explain why, but BK cannot use her as a witness, and he can’t testify in Maryland because he is a convicted perjurer.

  12. I’m replying to both you and bet –

Guys, Neal and BK can forge things to their hearts’ content, but there’s a huge difference between public records and forgeries. Huge.

The thing is, in a court case, where BK’s history as a perjurer and forger are part of the public record, any document his side submits has to be verified. How is that going to work out?

NR’s ability to appear sane is based upon his victims not assembling and bringing the evidence of his conspiratorial, manipulative madness to the court. I am assuming that, this time, everyone has a lawyer, and they’re not leaving the important evidence at home, of course. And I’m reasonably certain that at least Stacy has noted my irritation at various victims of Team Kimberlin when they didn’t bring the crucial evidence to court with them!

  13. What on earth?

Are we sure (given the smarmy tone) that piece is not written by NR himself? Because it’s stupid, oleaginous and more innuendo that reportage. I don’t have the faintest, but I’d approach that with extreme caution.

  14. I don’t think you understand. McCain asked how Kimberlin “imagines” he will prove things Stacey never did. I replied that he will fabricate evidence. I never said it would work. But that’s exactly what they “imagine”.

  15. Ah, I see! Sorry, I was (again!) operating in a world where reality applies. Where this crew is involved, I ought to know better, by this time.

Lunacy flows like a fountain in their world.

  16. The entire first page of results in both Google *and* Bing are about BS. And when you start typing in “Deranged Cyberstalker”, before you’ve even finished the second word Google gives you two options and “Deranged Cyberstalker Bill Schmalfeldt” is the second.
Not really how most of us would want our names to show up in search engines.

  17. Oh I agree. It should be taken with a grain of salt the size of Mt Everest but I can believe that NR would be able to peev the KosKids off too.
