Taylor Palmisano Hates Her Some F**king Mexicans, and Loses Her F**king Job

This is unfortunate in several ways:

Taylor Palmisano is having a bad week.
First, she wrote a fundraising email that was widely mocked for being tone deaf and weird. It recommended parents skip buying presents for their kids on Black Friday and send the money to the Walker campaign instead. That was bad.
Next, according to a report from Daniel Bice of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Palmisano finds herself on the chopping block for a couple of racist tweets she sent from her personal Twitter account years ago. That’s even worse.
The first of the tweets in question, sent out in January of 2011, reads: “This bus is my worst fucking nightmare Nobody speaks English & these ppl don’t know how 2 control their kids #only3morehours #illegalaliens.” The second tweet, sent in March of 2011, reads: “I will choke that illegal mex cleaning in the library. Stop banging fucking chairs around and turn off your Walkman.”

And now the worst part:

“Taylor Palmisano has been immediately removed from her position with the Friends of Scott Walker campaign,” said spokesman Jonathan Wetzel. . . .
Palmisano shut down her Facebook account and Twitter account on Tuesday.

She shut down her Twitter account? No!

She could have been a folk hero — a social media legend!

Also, Scott Walker could have used her for his widely anticipated 2016 presidential campaign staff. Trust me, there are plenty of GOP caucus voters in western Iowa who, while perhaps not sharing her enthusiasm for f-bombs, certainly share Taylor Palmisano’s sentiments about busloads of illegal aliens who don’t speak English.

  1. Do we really need another GOP amateur hour? I am not for witch hunts going back several years, but Walker has enough enemies as it is. The Black Friday tweet was tone deaf enough to warrant getting rid of that person in a campaign.

  2. Sorry, she sounds like a complete jerk, and there is no way I’d want her representing me. The nicest possible conclusion is that she doesn’t have a governor between her thoughts and what comes out… like the Black Friday “don’t get presents for your kids – send money to a politician” thing. And being in a pissy mood is *never* the right time to send something out onto the internet where it will be preserved forever.

    And ever.

    And ever.

  3. I seem to recall hearing of moochelle or hussein making a similar suggestion a few years ago with dear leader being the recipient. So, perhaps, this was Ms. Palmisano’s inspiration.

  4. Political campaigns have already grown so totally negative that it makes no sense to attract attacks. Those working on campaigns have to think before they speak, email, tweet, or post on Facebook. No one can afford campaign aides who step in it by making unforced errors.

  5. Not a surprise really. While I like walker myself a lot of the people around him over the years have gotten in trouble for more serious things than being rude on Twitter. It may be that the people who get into politics at an ‘aide’ level are mostly scumbags or knuckleheads in Wisconsin, or it may be that Walker isn’t good at choosing the people he is surrounded with. I fear its the latter which would not be good for a Walker campaign or presidency.

  6. Of course, three years from now, the only thing the media will remember is that she was working for the campaign, not that she was fired.

You can’t “win” these sorts of things in the media, so you should take Stacy’s usual advice and never respond to them when they come up. Especially don’t go around apologizing.

  7. The Walker campaign needs to learn to vet their staff. But since these are in fact the values they represent it would be tough for them to get anyone.

  8. What exactly do you like about Walker?
His giveaways to rich contributors at the expense of everyone else?
    His record low job numbers?
    His despicable personal beliefs?
    His vast hypocrisy?
The evident and long standing corrupt way he conducts his affairs?
His weird attempt to look like Ronald Reagan?
    I’m dying to know…

  9. Mexico is a nation, not a race. Just throwing that out there for the low information community of Wisconsin union government employees, who tend to be not all that bright.

Maybe this young woman should go slash some tires of Mexicans. That way she could qualify to be on the staff of a corrupt Democrat piece of garbage, like Terry Mcauliffe.

  10. Why put tweets like that out there anyway. What good does it do to rant like that? But if you are going to work for a high profile campaign, you better go back and see if you said anything stupid and delete it.

  11. The media is not fair. Never will be. Still, Republicans have to cut the weak away (especially since there are better staffers out there willing to work). The team needs to be effective in promoting the candidate, not attracting negative attention.

  12. People use Mexican to generally describe anyone who physically resembles a Hispanic person. In the East Coast it’s common to refer to any Hispanic person as a Puerto-Rican…I’m talking from experience.

  13. He seems to have a problem with his personnel.

In August, Walker removed Steven Krieser as his assistant deputy secretary at the state Department of Transportation after the Journal Sentinel contacted his office about Krieser’s Facebook posts likening illegal immigrants to Satan in an extended rant.

Gov. Walker Urges Parents to Skip Toys and Send the Christmas Money to Him

UPDATE: Walker’s campaign has fired the aide who sent this email, Taylor Palmisano, for an unrelated incident involving tweets demeaning Hispanics, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s re-election campaign has the cure for your holiday shopping fatigue: Take the money meant for children’s toys and send it to the Walker campaign.

In a Black Friday fundraising email to supporters, the Walker campaign asked supporters for a holiday contribution to his re-election bid that will last another four years.

“This year, we are celebrating the Holiday Season with a Black Friday special that is better than any deal found in stores,” Friends of Scott Walker’s Taylor Palmisano wrote in an email.

According to Walker’s campaign, toys are temporary, but political contributions are forever.

“Instead of electronics or toys that will undoubtedly be outdated, broken, or lost by the next Holiday Season, help give your children the gift of a Wisconsin that we can all be proud of,” Palmisano continued. The email was first spotted by this blogger.

Walker, a Republican, survived a contentious recall attempt in the state in 2012, and he is being challenged by Democrat Mary Burke, a member of the Madison, Wisc., school board and a former businesswoman.
