Were Vassar Students Who Perpetrated Hate Hoax Linked to Another Injustice?

In August, I mentioned Peter Yu, who was expelled from Vassar College in what K.C. Johnson called  “The Dubious Rape Trial at Vassar.” And last week, there was another Vassar story: “Hispanic Transgender Student Kicked Out After Faking College Hate Incident.”

There may be a connection between these two incidents:

Genesis Hernandez, a transgendered, minority student who served as a member of the Bias Incident and Response Team as well as the Vice President of Student Life, was one of the two students responsible for the falsified hate speech. . . .
Cases such as [the rape accusation against Yu] are overseen by the Sexual and Violence Prevention Committee (SAVP), which is made up of a combination of faculty and students. One of the student members on this year’s committee is Genesis Hernandez, whose name is still listed on the webpage. The SAVP has a diagram on its webpage that describes the process for reporting sexual misconduct. The diagram was created by Imani Wong, the girlfriend of Genesis Hernandez.
Although Vassar has not officially reported the name of the second perpetrator of the bias, leaked records of discussions among members of the Vassar Student Association state that she is, in fact, the second actor in this hoax. Like Genesis, Imani has also left the school. If people who can commit such devious, fraudulent acts are on these committees, how can students trust that they will be treated fairly?

WHOA! Both Wong and Hernandez — now apparently kicked out of Vassar for perpetrating a hate hoax — were members of the committee  that oversaw the prosecution of Peter Yu? Emily Rose DeMarco writes:

If all that is required of a woman is a declaration of rape for a man to be punished, what is to stop any bitter ex girlfriend from doing great harm to her former lover? The school does not appear to have a handle on this bias, as students who are falsifying hate speech are chosen to serve on committees meant to protect people from these very actions. To maintain its integrity as a fair institution, Vassar must take this issue very seriously and investigate how widespread this discrimination is on campus.

  3. No, it’s a good thing. that means we don’t have enough real hate crimes, so we have to manufacture them. Entrepreneurship at it’s finest.

  4. I sense near total apathy in today’s youth regarding gay-rights issues. The influence and usefulness of the homosexuals may be waning with the Left…

    These campus groups aren’t necessarily trying to “drum up business” as it were, so much as they are, perhaps, trying to see if there is still any enthusiasm left to exploit for the promulgation of their uncompleted agenda!

    I suspect the homosexuals are finding that the majority just doesn’t care much anymore…

  5. After the Matthew Shepard hoax was exposed, it’s reasonable to question everything! The shooting of Lawrence King and the Tyler Clementi incident were also heavily sanitised to fit the narrative…

  6. How rape is defined and handled in the US of A is perhaps its single greatest structural fault.
    From women charging rape in cases of bad sex, to Dem politicos rubbing their hands like flies in ecstacy over the the thought their Republican enemies will be raped in prison. WTF

    Posting photos on ex-girlfriend revenge sites seems to be the favorite method. It doesn’t stop the bitter ex-girlfriend, but it gets her back.

If they’re as apathetic as you say (and I don’t doubt it) it’s because they’ve become like most white Americans are with regard to black Americans – accepting them by content of character while counting skin color as irrelevant. Naturally the Left dislikes this, so the Left seeks to keep race hatred ginned up any way they can.

    Same thing with Big Gay, Inc. They’ve pretty much gotten what they long claimed to have wanted (acceptance, equality, etc) but they’re STILL not happy, proving they were lying the whole time.

In the context of fabricated allegations of sexual misconduct on campus, is the fact that many, if not most, of the females making the allegations have been psychologically manipulated into believing their allegations are true. The Feminist worthies which populate academe have made it their business to manipulate those in their charge to see things which are not there. When one is exposed to a constant litany of outrage, to an atmosphere where human relationships are reduced to nothing more than an oppressor/oppressed narrative; to a worldview which holds that all heterosexual interaction is a predicate to forcible rape, it is no wonder that impressionable young women and men who don’t have a firm grounding moral courtship are going to run into trouble sooner or later. Those of us with sons preparing to go off to university can only pray that our parenting has been sufficient to keep them safe, for truly, we are sending them into Colosseum to do battle.
