CNN has removed correspondent Diana Magnay from covering the Israeli-Palestinian conflict after she tweeted that Israelis who were cheering the bombing of Gaza, and who had allegedly threatened her, were “scum.”
After being threatened and harassed before and during a liveshot, Diana reacted angrily on Twitter,” a CNN spokeswoman said in a statement to The Huffington Post.
“She deeply regrets the language used, which was aimed directly at those who had been targeting our crew,” the spokeswoman continued. “She certainly meant no offense to anyone beyond that group, and she and CNN apologize for any offense that may have been taken.”
The spokeswoman said Magnay has been assigned to Moscow.

Here’s how the liberal mind works: The only thing they need to know is, “Who’s the victim of oppression?” Once the liberal media decides Palestinians are victims and Israelis are oppressors, it doesn’t matter what actually happens — Hamas suicide bombers blowing up busloads of innocent Israelis, launching missiles at Tel Aviv, whatever — the victim/oppressor dynamic controls the narrative.

    BTW, during WW2 the people in the occupied lands who fought back against the occupiers were called resistance fighters or freedom fighters. But in the territories illegally occupied by Israel, the fredom fighters are labelled “terrorists”. Isn’t it amazing how Israel controls reporting in the Western World?

For example, you can blow a lot people’s minds by pointing out the last truly autonomous state between the Med and the Jordan river before 1948 was a Jewish one, when the Jews in Israel were granted autonomy by the Sassanid Empire for fighting with it against Byzantium. 99% if the populace have never heard of the Sassanids.

Or the fact that Hamas stores weapons under mosques, schools and hospitals. Or the fact that Israel accepted an Egypt-brokered cease-fire which Hamas refused.     Number 2 – I don’t think the USA should support Israel. Frankly, we complicate things when we try to intervene. Case in point, Israel would have dealt with this decades ago if the US hadn’t kept calling for “restraint,” but only for the Israelis.

  33. Read some history dummy.

    Upon the partition of Israel and Palestine , Jordan and Egypt stole the West Bank and Gaza, respectively, from what would have been Palestine while they attacked Israel.

    After the first Arab-Israeli war those two countries kept the the former Palestinian homeland for themselves. It wasn’t until 1967 when in the course of defending themselves from another invasion that Israel occupied those territories along with the Golan Heights (Syria).

    So, the Israeli’s are not occupying Palestinian lands, they are occupying lands taken from enemies who repeatedly used them to launch wars against the sovereign State of Israel.

    The Palestinians got screwed alright- big time.
    It wasn’t Israel that screwed them , it was their so-called Arab brethren who were and are intent on using the so-called Palestinians as pawns against a common enemy… Jews.

  37. As a supplement to your comment, the Israelis begged Jordan to stay out of the 1967 war, and had King Hussein done so, the West Bank and East Jerusalem would still be Jordanian. Instead, he attacked and suffered the consequences.

    Also worthy of note, in 1970, the Jordanian Army massacred the PLO after it tried to overthrow Hussein. (Black September). The Arabs don’t like the Palestinians either.

    It is plainly and easily to understand an outline for extremism, Islamic domination and Pan-Arabism.

    Notice that Israel is not experiencing any conflict with the palestinians in the West Bank.
    I’d hope Israel uses this opportunity to destroy Hama’s once and for all.
