Democrats Implode in Louisiana

Posted on | December 3, 2014 | 24 Comments

Ali Akbar, Anita Moncrief and other activists with the Black Conservatives Fund have been making a huge difference in Louisiana during the final weeks of the campaign leading up to Saturday’s election that will end the Senate career of Democrat Mary Landrieu.

However, as much credit as is certainly due to BCF, the real credit goes to the Democrats themselves, who simply weren’t ready for primetime once Ali’s crew showed up to expose their corruption. Take a look at this headline Monday from the London Daily Mail:

‘Go vote again tomorrow’: Video shows
Louisiana mayor whose son is Sen. Mary Landrieu’s
chief of staff encouraging voter fraud as final
US Senate contest’s runoff election draws near

The story of how BCF got that video is very interesting, but the real problem for Democrats is that they’ve been getting away with this stuff so long they don’t even know it’s wrong. Decades of habitual corruption — and Louisiana is a cesspool of crooked politics, the Chicago of the South — have this effect of making Democrats utterly shameless.

So how does Senator Mary Landrieu feel about all of this?
“I looked at the video, it was in a bar room, you know, on a stage, people were having a good time. It seemed to me to be a joke” explains Landrieu.

When they’re exposed, they don’t know how to react.

The staff of Louisiana Senator Mary Landrieu and the Democrat Party continues to use black protesters but constantly stops them from speaking. Now two new videos show a white union supporter of Landrieu tell a black activist, Anita MonCrief, to “go down on Bill [Cassidy],” Landrieu’s opponent, and another black supporter of Landrieu tells MonCrief she is “pretty much” an uppity negro.

The Democrat Party is a political disease caused by a virus of selfishness that spreads through lies. The only known cure is truth.

Louisiana Runoff Polling Looks ‘Ugly’ For Landrieu

Damn, Andrew Breitbart would be so proud to see this day. After Saturday’s election, there won’t be anything left of the Democrat Party in Louisiana but a vast smoldering crater of failure and fear.

I thought Democrats were all about death with dignity and choice and death panels and such…

Isn’t it time to put Ol’ Mary down?

I envy people in LA getting a chance to vote her back to her home in DC, and instead elect an actual Louisianan** for a change.

**Cassidy wasn’t born in LA, but from reading his bio, it looks like his family put down roots there when he was still a kid.

If Landrieu had lost every election she deserved to lose, she would never have won at all, so it pays to keep working hard until the counting is done.

The good thing about conservative outreach to blacks is we don’t need to ‘be competitive’ in the demographic so much as to reduce the share Democrats can count on every election. We don’t have to match Nixon’s 37% of the black vote in 1960. The high point for Republicans since – and the only time we’ve exceeded 10% – was Reagan’s 13% in 1984; if we could only match even that, Democrats would be hard pressed to win nationally.

Alas, the GOPe runs on a platform of law and disorder.

One of the liberal sites that I visit had the site owner, Jason Scott, excoriate Senator Tom Carper (D-DE) for trying to help Senatrix Landrieu, whom he called a “fake Republican.” Of course, Mr Carper might actually be a friend of Mrs Landrieu, but the most obvious reason for the Democrats to try to hang on to this seat is that, if the Senate is 53-47 instead of 54-46, the Democrats will need to win one seat fewer in 2016 to retake control.

It seems that they’ve just given up; that’s a good thing.

While I appreciate the efforts at black outreach, one would think that there would be a far better payoff with white outreach.

    Black Conservatives Fund, eh?

They desperately need to get their technical act together.

Without my opting in, they put me on their daily mailing list a few days ago. Due to a pretty ridiculous error in pasting their content into a template, the unsubscribe links aren’t showing up when the messages are normally displayed.

This is going to cause more than a little ill will, assuming it doesn’t cause their email provider to terminate their account.

It is always good strategy to attack one’s adversary where he least expects to be attacked. Throw him off balance by forcing him to defend what he assumed to be safe. Every time Republicans can “wedge” Democrats against their (presumed) core constituencies this way, it exposes the schisms within the Democrat coalition.

Examine exit-poll numbers and you find that the states where Republicans can regularly get more than 10% of the black vote are the very deepest “red” states. In other words, GOP strength attracts black voters. More than 50% of black Americans live in “red” states. If GOP can mop up the rest of the Blue Dogs (a rare breed nowadays), the opportunity to increase the Republican Party’s share of the black vote could completely shatter the demographic calculations for the Democrat map.

Getting a larger black representation within the GOP would, in turn, help attract more suburban “soccer mom” types who dislike the taint of racism that liberals have stuck to Republicans.

Trust me, it’s a win-win, if the GOP will be consistent and patient this way.

Call me a cynic, but I see it as a waste of time.

Increasing the white vote by 2-3% more would seem to be a much more achievable objective and would help to solidify kind of a people’s national front against the marxists and their brown hordes.

The Landrieus are hip deep in Louisiana’s corruption. They are the Kennedys of the South.

Which reminds me of a joke from the album The First Family, a comedy routine spoofing the Kennedys: “Vote Early, Vote Often, but Vote for the Kennedy of Your Choice.”
