Make her a “school resource officer.” What could go possibly wrong?
SEATTLE — A Bothell police officer accused of having sex with a girl she met while serving as a school resource officer has been charged with sex crimes.
Detective Dione Thompson is alleged to have first had sex with the girl when she was a 17-year-old student at Bothell High School. Thompson, now 45, has been charged with sexual misconduct with a minor, a charge meant to punish authority figures who have sexual contact with older children.
According to charging papers, Thompson had sexual contact with the girl in her patrol car, at the Bothell library and outside an Ivar’s restaurant during their months-long liaison. Thompson persuaded the student to move in with her for a time. . . .
Writing the court, a King County Sheriff’s Office detective said Thompson’s ex-partner reported the claims in August after the former student contacted her. Police then contacted the former student, who detailed the allegations.
Thompson first chatted with the former student by Facebook, then began seeing her outside of school in the summer of 2010, the detective said in charging papers. Thompson ultimately persuaded the student — who was facing “a lot of turmoil” personally — to move into the Shoreline home Thompson shared with her partner. The former student apparently lived there for some time. . . .
The former student told investigators Thompson broke off the relationship in February 2011. Recounting an interview, the detective said the student only recently realized the harm Thompson caused by misusing the power and trust given her.
You may be wondering why this teenager had “a lot of turmoil.” The young woman is under the delusion she’s a young man:
According to charging documents, the alleged victim identified as female in 2010 and 2011, when the alleged sexual misconduct occurred, but now identifies as male. Male pronouns are used throughout the charging papers to refer to Thompson’s alleged victim.
The allegations against Thompson came to light in August when the alleged victim emailed Thompson’s former domestic partner and wrote that Thompson had sexually manipulated him, the papers say. The domestic partner wrote the alleged victim, now 22, and told him she is mandated by law to report allegations of abuse, though the charges don’t indicate her profession.
She then contacted police in Shoreline, where Thompson once lived, the charges say. Shoreline contracts with the King County Sheriff’s Office for police services.
Detectives interviewed the former student, who was 17 and 18 when he had sex with Thompson in her unmarked patrol car, her personal vehicle and her Shoreline residence as well as at [Thompson’s] parents’ home in Arlington, charging papers say. They also once had sex in the woods off the Burke-Gilman trail between Woodinville and Bothell, say the charges.
The lesbian cop’s domestic partner is “mandated by law to report allegations of abuse” — perhaps a teacher or a health-care worker — yet thought nothing of Thompson’s idea of having this profoundly disturbed teenager move into their home?
A society under pressure to accept deviant sexual behavior as normal — the “Emerging Awareness” Doctrine that was the crux of the landmark 2003 Lawrence v. Texas ruling — finds itself unable to make necessary judgments. Decisions about who should be entrusted to supervise vulnerable young people are among the most important decisions in any society. The vast majority of people (more than 97%, according to federal research) are heterosexual, and the vast majority of sex offenders are also heterosexual. But for many years, our society has been under pressure to accept homosexuality as normal, so that anyone who objected to a lesbian policewoman being appointed as school resource officer would have been condemned as a homophobe.
“Discrimination! Hate! Prejudice!”
So, hey, here’s a teenage lesbian –a young butch who subsequently decides she wants to be a man — having personal “turmoil” at home, and she’s becoming unusually friendly with the lesbian cop. Maybe the tolerant and enlightened staff at Bothell High School viewed this as a sort of beneficial mentoring, but if anyone suspected anything was wrong with this situation, what could they say? If this had been a male cop who seemed to be getting too friendly with a teenage girl, no one would hesitate to raise an alarm, but how dare you suspect a homosexual of inappropriate interest in a minor?
Some things are predictable and some things are not, but when you destroy moral tradition, don’t be surprised by the unhappy results.
Ideas Have Consequences, and bad ideas have bad consequences.

I still find myself gobsmacked by the idea that police officers are now necessary accouterments to public high schools.
If this crime started in 2010, the young lady/man must have been, what, 12 or 13 at the time?
Talk about confusing. The article says the victim identified as female during that time, but identifies as male now. Are we sure the victim identified as female prior to 2010? I mean, what if this was a case where he was born a boy, then started cross dressing and had the relationship with the cop, then afterward started identifying as male again?
The world turned upside down.
Because a minor having sex with an adult who is an authority figures will always clear up the turmoil.
Is anyone old enough to remember morals clauses in some places of employment? At one time the world make sense homosexual did NOT work near childern
Chinatown…Seattle…same same.
But, but, but if this student, born female, identifies as male, wouldn’t our friends on the left — the ones who think that identifying as male means something if your biology is female — have to say that this was a heterosexual affair?
Oddly enough, we never had them when I went to high school, but I was graduated in 1971, so maybe that makes a difference.
We didn’t either, and I graduated in 1977. My son’s Lutheran high school doesn’t have one now. It doesn’t need one. Funny how that works out.
To-may-to; To-mah-to.
You know, some people might think that a cisheteronormativist patriarchist like you noting that your son — another cisheteronormativist patriarchist in training, no doubt! — attends a high school of religious indoctrination and doesn’t appear to need a police officer assigned there was a not-so-subtle attempt to push a Christianist dominionist agenda on us.
I’m pretty sure that you should be denounced.
Consider it done. Call it, “Denunciation Onanism.”
The only time the police show up are for certain sporting events where out state’s high school athletic association mandates police presence. I’ve talked to several of the officers. the most sought-after “gigs” are those involving contests between the parochial high schools, simply because everyone is so well behaved.
And you’re sure that it isn’t just some cisheteronormativist patriarchist police officers wanting to check out cuties wearing Catholic school girl outfits? You just can’t trust those sexist men!

We didn’t have them either but I graduated HS in 69 before enforced busing
Heh love this and I can play this on mah guitar!!
You might be interested in this article describing how homosexual activists intimidated American Psychiatric Association into removing homosexuality from its List of Disorders, which quotes accounts from Newsweek in 1971
from the article:
“It was never a medical decision—and that’s why I think the action came so fast…It was a political move.”
“That’s how far we’ve come in ten years. Now we even have the American Psychiatric Association running scared.”
-Barbara Gittings, Same-gender sex activist
When I started, the school system was segregated. then, between my fifth and sixth grade years, the black school mysteriously burned to the ground. It was a small town, and everybody went to the same school after the fire; we didn’t have enforced busing, because we didn’t have school buses at all! Integration just didn’t turn out to be a problem.
Thanks I was already aware of that is what happen. Men of the last 50 years don’t have any backbone that obviously mentally disturbed people have so much political power is disturbing
Getting away from the strictly sex part, what bothers me about this sort of thing is the betrayal of trust: police officers are given great power and authority on the assumption that they will themselves obey the laws they are sworn to uphold and otherwise serve the public trust. This detective badly betrayed that trust, as badly as if she’d demanded protection money, taken a bribe, stolen evidence, framed an innocent, &c. She ought to be severely punished.
I fear, however, that she won’t be. The “Clinton Defense” will be invoked, and (of course) there will be cries of homophobia.
Again, this police officer – POLICE OFFICER – broke the law. Prison for a very long time is a suitable punishment.
In SoCal we never had forced segregation the schools corresponded to the neighborhood. But then the courts decided that black kids could only learn by sitting next to a white kid we had forced busing. There were riots and and a lot of violence as a result. The bathrooms were places were blacks jumped and beat up white kids.
Let’s talk about “ideology,” intellectual dishonesty, con games and outright lying. You recently had a post where a radfem stated she was in favor of “childfreedom.” Feminist icon Simone de Beauvoir had her French teaching license taken away for the same thing as this story. Andrea Dworkin openly called for the sexual freedom of children. Shulamith Firestone called for the independence of children.
There you have evidence of “culture” and “ideology.” That is a true “rape culture,” as opposed to the “rape culture” stipulated by radfems men are a part of simply by being men. It is no surprise radfems say heterosexuality and being male is equivalent to an actual ideology. That allows one to disguise one’s own bigotry. Radfems therefore don’t hate men, they hate an oppressive “ideology.” I could make the same rancid magical observations about black people, declare them an “ideology” and have at it.
I do not declare homosexuals to default to perversion the same way radfems declare men default to perversion, violence, oppression and sexual assault. Surely there must be at least some positive things men would default to. Mysteriously, there are none.
What I declare as defaulting to bigotry, racism and perversion are people who actually use such rhetoric and self-identify with a real ideology with its own consistent rules and logic.
In this case it’s radical lesbian feminism. That is not the same thing as “lesbian,” no more than the KKK is “whites.” The true reason radfems want to abolish gender is not to make the world a better place but to make the world a free-fire zone of perversion.
You see, in my world, one is not accused of immorality by virtue of what you were the day you were born, but by volunteering to be part of an immoral ideology. I’m amazed this KKK for insanely sociopathic lesbians has gotten as far as it has. There is no doubt that lying through their teeth has done the trick. “Diversity” and “equality” is the carrot that is waved about. In reality the stick is the diversity and equality division of Stormfront. The other reality is the sad stupidity that Americans have become so easily gulled by mere appearances. Exactly what is so compelling about dressing up in pig-tails and talking about wheel-chair access and allergies to scented products while shouting Nazi slogans? Are we really that dumb now?
It would be of interest to hear the people who write the DSM and similar works to explain why homosexuality is or isn’t a mental disorder, and then apply the same reasoning to, say, pedophilia, chastity, bestiality, monogamy, &c.
If one measure of mental illness is that the resulting behavior is “abnormal”, then it seems to me that homosexuality is a mental disorder. O’ course, depending on the population under study, so is monogamy!
I denounce your gender-binary bigotry.
Personally I self identify as either a Cetacean when swimming in the ocean or a member of the family Cervidae while wearing a fur coat and antlers in the winter (FYI- definitely not advisable in rural PA during hunting season)
Let’s not forget the funniest thing of all: gender-abolitionists succeed in abolishing gender to the point transsexuals start coming in (men) and having radfem arguments turned against radfems.
More is to come from this ideological cul-de-sac. The Foucauldian argument radfems base their BS on stipulates all are different, not the same. That precedent will empower discrimination, not end it. You already see radfems splintering into groups that are the exact opposite of the Constitution that protects them. In other words, given free rein, they will all attempt to destroy equal protection and imprison one another.
Why are we surprised an ideology created by mental cases is self-contradictory and also as self-extinguishing as a lesbian colony in Uganda? The patriarchy is a leg and radfems are leeches.
I’ve been of the opinion for many years now that if a cop, judge, lawyer, or any officer of the court is convicted of a crime, the penalty should automatically be doubled.
Perhaps if you were a Marmota monax in rural Pennsylvania, say, last Monday, you’d be more appreciated?
And I see your denunciation, and raise you a bitch-slap!
In my town, everybody went to the same school and nobody cared, because we’d been together since kindergarten. The only black person in my senior class was the unanimously elected class president. Lovely woman. Everybody loved her. There were other towns with racist elements but we didn’t let them effect/infect our school.
Mr Burton wrote:
In the Catechism of the Catholic Church, differentiation is taken between homosexuals, people with sexual attractions to the same sex, and homosexual acts; the former is considered disordered, but is not sinful any more than any birth defect would be sinful, but acting on homosexual impulses is considered sinful. Then again, acting on heterosexual impulses outside of marriage is also sinful.
I’ve often thought that the apparent high proportion of homosexuals amongst the priesthood has been created by those homosexuals who know that homosexual activity is sinful, and who are seeking the Grace of God in helping them to remain celibate and avoid sin. Whether that’s true or not, I have no way of knowing.
I’d suggest that pedophilia falls under the same distinction, and that we ought to honor the man who is afflicted with such impulses but who controls them and does not harm any children.
Integration didn’t seem like a big deal to me, but I had been in an integrated school in Antioch, California, from kindergarten through the second grade, and maybe that made it easier for me. In Antioch, that meant more Hispanic than it did black, at least at the time, and my best friend, Tino, was Mexican; I guess that I was too young to know that that was somehow supposed to make a difference.
It sounds like a train-wreck of transgression and jealousy. All three of them likely merit a bloody good hiding.
One wonders how many so-inclined men enter the seminary with honourable intent, only to discover that they’ve signed on to one big openly gay/pederastic fraternity and fell right into that which they sought avoid…
I’ve heard that many gay males specifically join the Episcopal priesthood expressly because of the thriving gay subculture there!
I’ve no idea, but life in the seminary, with men surrounded only by other men, and dormitory situations, can’t make it easy.

To your point, though, Jesus said in Matthew 5:28 that anyone who looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart. And obviously, Jesus’ point extends to anyone of any gender or “lifestyle choice”, because clearly what He was getting at is that purity of thought-life equates to moral cleanliness and obedience to commandment.
So my question is this: if someone recognizes an illicit attraction for what it is, but puts all thoughts of it out of mind, including lustful thoughts, would that person still be considered a homosexual, pedophile, or whatever? I guess that would be the point, wouldn’t it, and goes to show how homosexuals, for example, would be cured?
And we also see here that simply failing to act upon lustful impulses is not good enough, so I surely hope the Catholic Church makes that distinction.
It is radical feminists who assert homosexuality is artificial, not I. They claim gender is a performance created by culture and individual, not a biological construct. It is only one of the many daffy self-contradictions of this idiotic ideology which claims gender identity can be cured in the same sentence they’ll accuse one of homophobia for saying gender identity can be cured. What they really mean is what bigots mean: in this case, only heterosexuality can be and need be cured. It is the typical shoddy thinking of people who put the cart – their bigotry – before the horse.
I denounce, denouncing.
Hear him! Hear him!
Possibly one of the most heinous child sex crimes in recent history – 1400 children over 15 years – and barely a peep in the MSM. Rotherham; most will never have heard of it. There is no doubt in my mind as to the complicity of the left and the MSM in flushing the whole of our western culture down the toilet of sexual deviancy. Children are not just unfortunate victims; they are specifically targeted. The slippery slope is not a logical fallacy when it’s real.
Temptation itself is not sin. As someone once said to me, “It’s not the first look at the pretty girl which is the problem. It’s the second.”
How about the possibility that this young girl did not start identifying as a male until after the sexual abuse? We know how badly such experiences can really screw a kid up.
Gender feminists advocate for “youth rights” so they probably didn’t mention it cuz they were figuring out how to replicate it.

If by “failing” you mean not doing something from inertia or laziness, then I’d have to agree with you. Having the impulse, but actively rejecting it would be a good thing. For us old hetero males, noting that a woman is pretty is not a problem. Undressing her in your mind is something else.
Yes! and Amen!
I denounce your denunciation and refer you to Dana, the Denunciation Master, for further denunciation.
