Why Do Feminists Hate Sex Robots?

Professor Kathleen Richardson wants to ban sex robots.

In the zero-sum-game worldview of feminism, anything that makes men happy is bad. Kathleen Richardson, a professor at De Montfort University in England, is afraid that having sex with robots will make men happy:

“Sex robots seem to be a growing focus in the robotics industry and the models that they draw on — how they will look, what roles they would play — are very disturbing indeed,” she told the BBC.
She believes that they reinforce traditional stereotypes of women and the view that a relationship need be nothing more than physical.
“We think that the creation of such robots will contribute to detrimental relationships between men and women, adults and children, men and men and women and women,” she said.

Notice that Dr. Richardson is only worried about how these robots would affect “traditional” stereotypes of women, whereas stereotypes of men are evidently not at all “disturbing” to her. While I am also against robot sex — it’s just plain creepy — I might change my mind if scientists could program these robots to make sandwiches.

We wouldn’t want feminist professors to make sandwiches, would we?

That would be “very disturbing indeed.”

  4. Well, if such robots become common enough, we could have world peace in a couple of centuries as the human race dies out.

    I suspect some women will rejoice as they cease to be bothered for sexual activity OF ANY KIND.

    I would think feminists would approve of such “bots” since women would then have the freedom to achieve things without the burden of having to provide domestic support for a man or raise children.

    Let us not forget that, in the war of the sexes, how can any male ever compete with a robot designed for women BY women? Or even more than one robot per woman? (One bot to do the cooking, the others to do the cleaning… yes, that’s from an ancient joke.)

    Consider also that bots can be designed to handle same-sex issues easily, too.

  7. It cannot be ignored that almost all, if not all, of the feminists linked here are really unattractive. It goes to motive and it weakens their case. It points to bitterness rather than reason.

  27. Manipulating other women with dildoes is so much more natural. There is some built in truth to this story. Feminists who produce nothing are reduced to purchasing dildoes men produce. Men produce an entire working doll. Don’t tell me gender feminists have no interest in that concept. Anyone who’s read Donna Harraway’s cyborg manifesto or Charlotte Bunch’s assertion lesbians don’t need men because of (male) science knows these dizzy broads are doing a fox and the grapes. They’re doing that because they can’t produce jack shit anyone wants, not even themselves. I myself have invented a feminist doll that is true to life. They’re free. Just go out into the wilderness, choose any featureless gray boulder and tell ’em Fail sent you. Just haul it away using male fork hydraulics and a male pick up truck. The boulders don’t actually do anything but neither do gender feminists.

This is actually a very serious subject that raises issues of societal collapse, dehumanization, AI and hybrids and sex slavery, massive depopulation, what constitutes adultery, the end of family, government control of the addicted masturbation addicts, objectification of humans, lack of social support in old age, a weakened society ripe for invasion.   33. Not that I think many women will be interested but there will be male sex bots that never age, don’t have weird body hair, and do have six pack abs, and custom penises that can last as long as the user wants – or was it assumed only the men would get to play

  37. I suspect that – given that feminism is teaching women to treat men terribly – sexbots will be a relief to men. Seriously, if a woman can’t interact with a man without ranting about patriarchy and telling him he’s bad and inadequate, why would he want to be around her?

    If any man treated me that way, I certainly wouldn’t think he was loving and respectful. I’d feel like an emotional punching bag, and I’d be gone.

    Why do feminists think men should put up with that?

    1: Its pretty sad relations between a broad group of the sexes had got this shitty.
    2: There will never be a better time to be a ‘player’ as the ladies approaching the “oh crap my butt is sagging I need a beta provider” will find buffy the sexbot has taken them all.
    3: Once the beta has sex and the basics of life what more does he want, productivity/drive will die down.
    4: The hambeasts of the collapse will demand more taxes be taken from men as they are no longer “manning up” and marrying them at 40.

    And last of all, i can already predict the first and main line of attack by the demented on these.
