PARIS ATTACK: Terrorist ‘Refugee’ Had Syrian Passport; Death Toll Now 129

Reuters reports:

The holder of a Syrian passport found near the body of one of the gunmen who died in Friday night’s attacks in Paris passed through Greece in October, a Greek minister said.
“The holder of the passport passed through the island of Leros on Oct. 3, 2015, where he was identified according to EU rules,” Greece’s deputy minister in charge of police, Nikos Toskas, said in a statement.
Toskas did not know if the Syrian passport had been checked by other countries through which the holder might have passed on his way to France.
A Greek police source said the passport’s owner was a young man who had arrived in Leros on a small vessel from Turkey with a group of 69 refugees and had his fingerprints taken by Greek officials. . . .
Police declined to give the name of the Syrian passport holder, saying French authorities wanted to keep information about the suspect confidential.
The source said there were no official records showing the man had left Greece, but that authorities believed he may have done so through the border with Macedonia.
Greek police were also asked by French authorities to check on the holder of an Egyptian passport that was apparently found near the body of another attacker, but found no evidence so far that this second person may have also passed through Greece, the police source said.

The London Telegraph reports:

Francois Molins, the Paris prosecutor, is giving a press conference with the latest details from Franch police. He now says 129 people were killed in the Paris terror attacks and 352 people were injured.
He says 99 of the injured are in critical condition. . . .
Francois Molins, the Paris prosecutor, said a black Polo parked in front of the Bataclan concert hall just before the attacks. This is where the largest loss of life occurred, he said, with 89 people killed. Three terrorists died. One was shot by police and two detonated suicide vests.
He said three “terrorist teams” were involved in the attacks.

  1. Bombing them isn’t going to do much good. What’s needed is a battalion of Marines to go through that country like sh!t through a goose and kill the ISIS bastards wherever they find them. Maybe bring the 101st Airborne to help.

  2. Russia used to be the benchmark of irony and Orwellian stupidity we’d all laugh at. Now they’re looking like pragmatic rationalists. While we spent billions on NATO Europe allowed itself to be put on the road to extinction by barely civilized nobodies from barely functioning Islamic states. We were laughed at as racists for predicting what any fool could see. Predictably, Salon is still saying we’re the racists. They’re the people who as much as said Charlie Hebdo committed suicide. Life is easy when your moral ethos is white-non-white, West-East, woman-man, gay-straight. Unfortunately it’s also a suicide cult.

  3. There are many regional and cultural psychologies in global Islam. Probably the most evident and important is the supremacy baked into its colonialist and imperial origins. It operates somewhat like a KKK in a way no other religions do. It shows a consistency of in-group, out-group behaviors typical of a group which sees even the lowest among them as a sort of aristocracy as opposed to having a more meaningful moral outlook, the latter being a thing more typical of other religions. That’s not to say other religions haven’t gone through supremacist phases, but they have shown they can recover from them and live with others, a thing Muslims have yet to show they can do when they arrive in numbers.

If that’s so it would explain why so many Muslims turn a blind eye to the most murderous among them and also why so-called “moderates” are so easily cowed by the most murderous among them. After all, they are princes set loose among wolves, non-Muslims who are sometimes literally described as animals.

There is only one solution to that and it is to keep them out of the West.

  4. Apropos of nothing, note the rifle those two French cops are carrying in the second photo. We saw those in pictures from the Charlie Hebdo and deli massacres, too. They wanted a rifle chambered in a standard military cartridge (in this case 5.56mm) that did not look “military.”

Yes, those are Ruger Mini 14s.

  5. I’d lay odds that in the end, Barry brings in more than 1,000,000 of them.

I believe all Western leaders want to see this same thing (Paris) happen in their own countries, and I believe this desire is compatible with end times prophecy – indeed, that prophecy demands it. To wit: implementation of a police state and the stripping of natural rights, ultimately leading to the final one world totalitarian dictatorship.

This is why Barry will smilingly bring a bunch of these guys into the US despite Paris. He’ll have no problem politically sacrificing himself or his party, because once he finishes all of his destructive lame duck projects, the process will be too entrenched to unravel.

I also think we’re starting to see a very clear black and white distinction between good and evil, which will lead to a Christian revival in some areas, and the separation of the wheat from the tares that will signal the end of the Gentile times.

But that’s all my opinion, of course. I hope I’m wrong.

  6. And furthermore, what good is it to have some guys walking around with their sweet rifles anyway, except for optics? Seriously, man, a guy in a suicide vest could jump out of a vehicle and blow people up faster than one of the rifle guys could react.

Now, if you had a heavily armed populace on the alert for trouble, that would work, but, ya know, that’s not gonna happen.

  7. I bought a baguette out of solidarity with our dubious allies.

‘Hey Garçon! Yes you, you stupid American peeg, get over here an’ clean this filthy mess up touts huit.’

  8. Bombing them is no substitute for border controls. That’s something Europe has to do for itself.

I’m not convinced the US should intervene. One result of Pax Americana is that we effectively removed most European internal defenses while taking the blame for for all the foreign policy that people didn’t like.

  9. Someone explained the multiple tiers of French law enforcement to me once but I’ve forgotten. If I remember accurately there’s the National Police which is a branch of the Army and the Surete who do more localized police work and are not part of the Army. I guess the Surete have less scary looking weapons
I wonder if they carry bullets or if t’s just for show?

  10. I predicted this last night but I didn’t realize it would be proven so quickly.

You wonder how many of the thousands of “Syrian refugees” have have disappeared from German processing centers are now underground trying to link up with other sleeper cells in Western Europe?

This is just the start of the nightmare for Europe.

And Obama is literally chomping at the bit to bring these 7th century troglodytes and their jihad here!

Get armed and get trained NOW. We have run out of time to prepare.

  11. The Crusades rivals the global slave trade as the most lied about event in history. Colonialism is probably third.

  12. The time will come to take care of this problem, but let the Euro-dumkoffs take care their own self-inflicted wounds.

BTW, Barney Fife was a classic piece of Americana. Without him, the whole Andy of Mayberry persona wouldn’t have worked. IMO.

  13. Actually, it is important. Proggies in the US fall all over themselves praising Islam as one of the World’s Great Religions, while pretending a disinclination to particiate in a gay wedding is the Worst. Atrocity. Ever.

Meanwhile, in the lands of Islam, gays are decapitated, hung from cranes, flung from buildings, stoned to death, or crushed beneath collapsing walls.

I expect that if NYC and the other coastal enclaves go Muslim, these people will pay the jizya, happily accept dhimmi status, and start handing over their gay friends to the religious police. Because their stupidity is only exceeded by their cowardice.

  14. I agree. I think there’re implications and ramifications here that go beyond the notion of simply defending European socialism.

  15. Regarding the tweet asking where the terrorists got their Kalashnicovs, from what I saw, they had a lot of stainless steel; magazines and such. The Russians don’t use all that stainless, do they? Wondering therefore if Barry provided them.

  16. NAZIism, communism, socialism, fascism, multiculturalism…. every poison ideology of the last century originated in Europe. One hundred million people butchered on ‘the old continent’ last century and people still think of the europeans as civilized if not as the very essence of civilization itself. IMO, they won’t be any worse off under sharia law.

  17. Well, there was that incident in the El Toro on 12 March, 1987.

But probably only my ex-wife is still talking about that one.

  18. Probably what those guys are doing is optics. The first level of deterrence is presence.

But there are tactical guys on the rooftops and in strategic windows too.

  19. Even so, I’d rather have armed citizens than cops everywhere.

But of course, gubmints won’t trust the citizens. After all, they are the same knuckleheads that elected the gubmint. And if we only had, say, Mizzou students, community organizers and Salon editors as examples, that notion might not be so misplaced. But factoring in hunters, NRA card holders and Southern saltine-Americans (:D), I’d still take the armed citizens.

  20. The problem is that state security is a huge financial drain. How many months can France afford to have increased presence on the streets?

Jihadis would also be stupid to attack when the French are best prepared.

No, the French response is best thought of as optics for local consumption that actually results in phase 2 of the Jihadi plan.

Phase 3 is to wait until fatigue sets in, then hit them again.

  22. The question we’re all asking, which I think you’re not, is which is the more urgent enemy?

No one here — possibly except you — believes that after the crocodile has eaten European socialism, it won’t (with the resources gained from its Euro-feast) turn its appetite against us.

The reason we went after al Qaeda in Afghanistan was so we could be fighting them over there instead of in our own theaters, arenas, and shopping malls.

  23. Then the rest of you are playing catch up. I guess I’m the only one here that correctly sees socialism and the left as the enablers of Islamic expansion through mass immigration and accommodation while ensuring that the wests response is feeble and further enrages the jihadists. Dealing with Islamic hegemony will be childs-play compared to defeating the forces of leftist destruction that have infiltrated the body politic and consciousness of every western country.

  24. People forget that the original American army was made up of armed citizens who volunteered to put themselves between harm and those that they loved.

    It’s a helluva deterrence.

  25. Law enforcement will always be playing defense in this war. This is not a “criminal” issue, nor does it involve “justice” or “oppression” or even global warming. The only way to stop this is to crush the ideology of the Islamists, to discredit it as a cult for losers like Nazism.

That means we need to do to them what we did to the Nazis. At this point no Western nation has the will to do that. Some fools expect Putin to take care of it, as if he gives a damn about Western culture. What he does is whatever serves himself.

I fear that we won’t realize what we face until NYC is a glass crater. And even then, fellow traveling ostriches like Slate and Vox will blame Republicans for it.

  26. No, just in time. Thanks for the hashtags, buddy!

Okay everybody, join hands! Do we start with a chant or just sing Kumbaya?

  27. You’re ignoring the elephant in the room here.

Obviously, from Sarah Palin, Ben Carson, Rush Limbaugh and the NRA.
