This is precisely the sort of scurrilous, retro-warrior thinking that Political Correctness was supposed to squash:

Kelly, who has been a Marine for 45 years and served three tours in Iraq, said the sole basis for change in the military should be whether the change will make units more lethal.

We no longer have the intellectual honesty to ask whether a given policy enhances combat effectiveness. Only whether the policy helps our godless Commie sodomites in office feel better about themselves.

    A question leftists never want asked: What is the purpose of a thing? If we know what it’s purpose is, we can know what will advance that purpose and what will harm that purpose. What is the purpose of marriage? Since every society on Earth has some form of it, and since, up until the late 20th century, it was universally between men and women, we can safely assume it serves some purpose.

    In this case, what is the purpose of the U.S. military? The obvious answer is to protect the U.S. and its allies and interests from our enemies, primarily by either violence or the threat thereof. If leftists acknowledge this, though, all their social experiments would be shown up as idiocy.

    And he’ll be allowed to do it, and any women complaining will be court martialed or dishonorably discharged. Then the rapes will begin, and be covered up. And, I don’t know, but are women in basic given an opportunity each morning to put on full makeup and fix their hair? But the M-F trannie will be allowed to put on his drag queen makeup and wig. He won’t have to hump a 75-lb pack for miles and miles, because he’ll get a special exemption in order to put on his girl costume every day. And taxpayers will be required to cover his copious surgery and hormone requirements.

    Our Armed forces are tiny compared toi yours, this will be a enormous hit on the budget and fighting capabilities of your troops.

    TAXPAYERS spent $648,000 over 30 months for sex change and breast enhancement procedures for serving members of the Australian Defence Force (ADF).

    This included 13 cases of gender dysphoria (gender identity disorder) including 10 from male to female and 15 breast enhancements between November 2012 and April this year.

    The bill does not include pharmaceuticals issued by Defence.

    The Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) led the way with six members undergoing gender identity treatment and eight breast enhancements.

    Next was Army with five gender cases and four breast procedures and finally the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) with just two and three respectively.

    The circumstances leading to the various surgical procedures is not known.

    In 2012 the total cost of all plastic surgery procedures in the ADF was $3.5 million for 1500 cases or $2300 each. This figure includes breast enhancement and reduction cases as well as tummy tucks, nose jobs and liposuction.

    Defence said such procedures were only approved for compelling psychological or psychiatric reasons.

    If the reasons were truly compelling, there would be none. Frankly, any shrink that recommended such procedures should have his license taken and then hung for his/her incompetence.

    The West is fat, corrupt and foolish. We are coasting on the fumes of the labor of past generations. My only solace is that our current insanity won’t last very long. Something terrible will happen, whether it be terrorism, nuclear war, economic collapse or some from Column A and some from Column B. Whatever it is, it will reorder our priorities in an instant. Our current obsession with manly women and womanly men and with feelings as the defining element of human life won’t last long when children are starving and winter is coming on. Small consolation, but I take what I can get.

    And this reveals another stark contradiction in the proglib philosophy: the evils of rape are bad when committed by white men, but are completely ignored or condoned if the perpetrators are of any other race, creed, sexuality, or state of being (unless it serves the proglib purposes).
