Blame-Shifters: Democrats Use #Orlando to Scapegoat Christians, GOP, NRA

There is no limit to the Left’s shameful dishonesty:

Christian conservatives are responsible for the mass shooting at a gay bar in Orlando because they “created this anti-queer climate,” according to American Civil Liberties Union attorneys.
“You know what is gross — your thoughts and prayers and Islamophobia after you created this anti-queer climate,” ACLU staff attorney Chase Strangio tweeted on Sunday morning. . . .
Strangio — who “spend[s his] life fighting Christian homophobia while being loved & supported by [his] Muslim family” — and his colleagues connected the shooting back to Christians and Republican politicians who oppose gay marriage. “The Christian Right has introduced 200 anti-LGBT bills in the last six months and people blaming Islam for this,” Strangio tweeted. “No.”

This is a classic reversal of causation, as part of an attempt to deflect attention from what actually happened in Orlando, where the deadliest terror attack in the United States since 9/11 was committed by the son of a Taliban supporter whose hatred of homosexuals was clearly related to his Islamic beliefs. Democrats cannot let this be a story about the dangers of Islamic terrorism, a story that would be bad for Hillary Clinton and good for Donald Trump. Instead, the narrative is about “this anti-queer climate” Democrats can blame on Republicans and Christians. Never mind the facts. Never mind the reality that the so-called “200 anti-LGBT bills” are actually attempts to defend First Amendment rights against totalitarian efforts to deny freedom of conscience to businesses and individuals who do not agree with the radical agenda of the Left.

We see that the American Civil Liberties Union — which began as a Communist Party front group to defend the agents of Soviet-backed subversion — is now against “civil liberties,” insofar as those liberties involve the rights of Christians to live according to their faith.

“Democrats with bylines,” as Instapundit calls the dishonest journalists who peddle partisan propaganda, are also trying to blame the NRA for Orlando, because there is nothing liberals would enjoy more than to completely disarm American citizens, because depriving us of our Second Amendment rights is necessary to abolishing our First Amendment rights.

In Obama’s America, Muslims have rights, immigrants have rights and gay people have rights. The rest of us? We have no rights at all.

  1. Is it a surprise for us all? obviously not. I do not navigate the mental asylum that is Twitter but what is astonishing (I guess) is that retarded tweets like that one receive no pushback. I also know that pushback on that level of retards is futile but to never pushback means that they allow themselves to be popular/in the right/better than the rest

  2. “your thoughts and prayers … after you created this anti-queer climate,”

No. Natural evolution, the lifestyle of 1.5% of the population that looks like something out of a Heironymus Bosch painting and your hijacking of the 5,000 year old ritual of marriage created this anti-queer climate.

  3. I wonder: when Iran hangs homosexuals from cranes, and Da’ish kills them by throwing them off buildings, how is that the fault of an “anti-queer climate” in the United States?

  4. As a pagan libertarian, I’m about as big as an “outler” as one can get. Almost every time I’ve been threatened with violence, it’s not been the Christians or the conservatives. I can live with Christians and conservatives, they are usually good neighbors.

That’s not even “mostly true” with progressives.

  5. Stacy wrote: There is no limit to the Left’s shameful dishonesty.

That is, of course, because, having rejected all Morality, the Left cannot feel any shame.

  6. The left, completely deprived of self-awareness and moved by repressed racism, deep inside know that those countries are basket cases, probably when drunk they are willing to admit that they do not hold Iran and the rest to the same standards as everyone else (they will never admit this). This is why they are able to shrug off what happens there. In return every minor action (photographer and gay ceremony) is met with the same acrimony of hanging homosexuals from cranes (since they are powerless against Iran but extremely powerful against local photographers, in a way or another they are able to vent their anger, just to the wrong target so their fake conscience is sedated). This is a typical case of ‘strong with the weak and weak and weak with the strong’ which fits them to a T and displays their moral inferiority, completely 180 degrees from the moral superiority that they desperately need to display in order to feel better than the Others (something that is Paramount to the leftwinger, otherwise he would not be able to cope). They suffer from this psychological problem. The solution, other than locking them in a safe space far away from any position of power is in my opinion to avoid all contact. Solitary confinement for people who thinks to be above everybody else is the correct initiative to see if they are able to solve their problems without the help of the random run of the mill non leftist they usually rely on. I have made this pledge in my life and never retracted. My personal health has improved, not having to deal with their lunacy even if at verbal level.

  7. You do realize that their feelings trump your life and the lives of your family. Just sayin’

  8. So a Democrat Muslim murders a bunch of people, and I am responsible?

Yeah, okay. So maybe you proggie shitweasels want to STFU and stop trying to antagonize me. Or is your rage for the same old reason as always, you’re scared to death of the real enemy and so lash out at a safe target, as usual?

By the way, the guy was also a licensed security guard. In other words, one of the trained professionals Dems insist are the only one to be trusted with firearms.

  9. Well, that and Chik-Fil-A, and Christian bakers, and rape victims who don’t want to share the ladies’ room with men.

  10. They’d put you in the camps right next to the rest of us.

That is, if they had the stones. Their grand schemes to cleanse America always leave out the detail of who’s going to do the actual cleansing. Those boxcars don’t load themselves, you know.

  11. Yes, of course you are responsible, because you are a white cisheteronormative Christianist patriarchist, and you need to check your privilege!

  12. “ACLU staff attorney Chase Strangio”; wanna bet how many Justice Department lawyers are personal friends of this mope?

I’m guessing at least 5, with 10 to 15 more likely.

This is the kind of fruitcake that drives policy in the Obama administration.

  13. They get pushback, but they tend to block or mute people who disagree with them – when they’re not reporting them to @safety because their feelings were hurt.

  14. As in every other situation, what is important is not that the retard leftist reads it, it is the rest of the semi sane people. A large chunk of the population simply sides with the loudest mouth or to the thought he hears the most (this is how a stupidity like gay marriage passed). If sane conservative voices are not even heard because we lack the stamina to do some pushback, it is indication of trouble.

  15. Here you go, apparently a Christian words is far more scary than a Islamic terrorist intent on wholesale slaughter

  16. Of course according to this goon the NRA provided the Islamic terrorist his weapons…really!

  17. As attorney for the Shitweseal-American community I ask you to stop associating our good name with proggies.

  18. Any conservative view point and leftist will equate it as substantially the same as a terrorist intent on mass slaughter I’ve never see such patently insane thinking in my lifetime as what is being spouted on social media. It’s beyond delusional.

  19. How about a whole newspaper editorial of denial?
Its a masterclass in deflection and denial, oh and if you oppose transgender bathrooms then you are the same as the Orlando Killer….
    Read the whole thing.

“…The Guardian view on homophobia after Orlando: to fix it, we must first face it

    Editorial

The west is these days happy to champion sexual diversity as one of its values. But the shallow roots of tolerance lead to hesitancy in naming a hate crime for what it is”…

    http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2016/jun/13/the-guardian-view-on-homophobia-after-orlando-to-fix-it-we-must-first-face-it

“..Homophobia is alive, well and deadly in the United States. That is surely the single starkest lesson to be drawn from the tragedy in Orlando, which saw a New York-born American walk into a gay club and slaughter dozens with an AR-15 assault style rifle. The gun laws need debating of course, but the usual suspects may well thwart that discussion in the usual way. Meanwhile the avowed inspiration that Omar Mateen drew from Isis will lead to complex arguments about what it means for a terrorist group to “claim” an attack these days. But with this hate crime target, and with the killer’s parents attesting to hate crime motivation – anger at seeing two men kiss – one would hope that all could agree that this was a crime that flowed from a particular spring of hostility which runs deep in many cultures around the world, including the west.”..

  20. Jesus stopped a crowd from executing an adulterous woman. Then he told the woman, “Go and sin no more.”

This shows us that telling a sinner to stop sinning is the OPPOSITE of violence. It is an act of love.

Anyone who thinks it’s “hate” is hopelessly lost.

  21. I believe that we should suspend Muslim immigration permanently, in order to spare them the tragedy of watching our magic dirt turn their descendants into violent homophobes. He would doubtless have grown up into a peaceful progressive in Afghanistan or Pakistan.

  22. The lulziest or, more to the point, most a-holeishly lulzy mouth also works. Conservatives can do that. @nero does it. Crowder, Coulter, et al, do it. It’s as you say, getting the semi-sane people to read it, meaning there needs to be metric tonnes of retweets.

  23. That’s how derpy he is. And this guy is writing briefs and motions? If I were an opposing lawyer, I’d check them all for errors. I bet there’s lots.

  24. Could be a Twitter battle to the death. Or a version of Thunderdome: one postmodern leftist and one normal person enter, one normal person leaves.

  25. I know of a culture in which ALL the political leaders openly advocate for guns & queer hatred. Wanna hear what it’s called, DJ, you ignorant jackass?
