Jimmie Bise Jr. Explains Why Economic Freedom Makes America Great

Posted on | July 4, 2010 | 7 Comments

“Now, those of us who get the origin of wealth understand that prosperity only happens when people own the fruits of their labor. The principle that what you produce belongs to you and you have the absolute right to dispose of it as you wish is the cornerstone of all the wealth and wonders created in America for well over 230 years. . . . Economic freedom is the first, and most important freedom we have.”

Political freedom and economic freedom are inexorably intertwined; when either is restricted the other is also restricted.

This is why all the political philosophies are so muddled beyond explanation; they are merely an attempt to cover up the oldest motivation in human history: some people have property, and others wish to take it for themselves by force.

Drat the lack of “Edit” and “Preview” functions . . . that second paragraph should read, of course, “…the political philosophies OF THE LEFT…”

gg, explain that statement, please. How is Jimmie’s argument a strawman? It seems pretty on point to me, it being a direct rebuttal of Hillary’s “too much wealth to the ‘elites'” statment.
