SATURDAY: Help Celebrate National ‘Denounce Lisa Murkowski Day’

Posted on | September 24, 2010 | 34 Comments

Let’s face it: Lisa the Loser’s pathetic write-in campaign is such a disgusting RINO backstabber move that even Charlie Crist would be ashamed to try anything so transparently desperate.

To call Murkowski foul scum would be an insult to scum.

The editors of National Review have taken Senate Republicans to task for failing to strip Murkowski of her position on the Energy Committee. Were there any justice in the world, she’d get it a lot worse than that.

Where is the Spencer Ackerman of the Right, who will urge us to smash Murkowski’s name through a plate-glass window, take a snapshot of the bleeding mess and send it out in a Christmas card to let Senate Republicans know that they need to live in a state of constant fear?

Go give money to Joe Miller to help him stomp Murkowski into RINO smithereens, and then tell the world what an awful monster she is.

    Are you sure Charlie Crist wouldn’t do this? Come on, Stacy…you know he totally would! He veto that teacher bill just to ‘help’ his political chances.

    Lisa & Charlie are both giving Pinocchio a run for the longest nose.

    Whatever Rule 5 is, she’s the antidote.

    Until I saw the NRO column, I had not realized that Jim DeMint was the only Senator to speak out in favor of stripping her of seniority. That is unconscionable. I knew they were a club, but I didn’t know the extent to which they defended their own.

    McConnell must go as leader.

    Unfortunate, the Alaskan Board of Elections said spelling isn’t critical, the criterion is if the intent of the voter is clear, then it counts.

    So if anyone writes “Lowlife Backstabbing Jezebel,” it will count for Murky.

    ~~~~~~~~~~
    My guess is the Caucus figured there are no pending bills to come before the Energy Committee in the remainder of the session anyway, so they don’t want to totally alienate her to the point she votes with Democrats in the lame duck period.
    I agree that’s a mistake. There is nothing to be gained by being seen as coddling traitors, and it probably does more political damage now than any possible benefit it might yield later on.
    Estragon, in other elections I’ve seen, the board gets together and makes a list of spellings and names they’ll accept. It wouldn’t surprise me if “Lisa” would be enough to get the vote counted.
    Good question, when will we get the denounce Christine O’Donnell day? Write in candidates have no place in the GOP arena, right? Right?
    Cody_K,
    I see that you don’t understand how things work here, so I’ll explain by paraphrasing a Rush Limbaugh parable:
    A company decides that it wants to promote a woman to top management.
    Three candidates are selected, and a test is developed: They are each “accidentally” overpaid by a thousand dollars one week, and the selection board watches to see how they respond.
    The first woman notices the overage and immediately reports it to the payroll department for correction.
    The second woman deposits her paycheck and keeps her mouth shut, obviously hoping that it will go unnoticed and that she’ll get to keep the “bonus.”
    The third woman immediately calls her broker and has him buy a thousand dollars worth of a stock she thinks is about to move. A week later she sells the stock for two thousand dollars, goes to payroll and gives them their original thousand, plus half of the second thousand, back.
    Q: Which woman does the company promote?
    A: The one with the biggest boobs.
    I hope this story helps you understand the difference in how ToM and its commenters treat Christine O’Donnel vs. Lisa Murkowski.
    I didn’t realize she was waging a write-in campaign. Silly me, I thought she won the primary.
    Oh. That’s right. She waged a write-in four years ago. I guess bringing up something from a past campaign is relevant when you’re an ADD-riddled leftist who has run out of arguments. Cute, but ultimately kinda dumb.
