Young, Famous, Beautiful and Stupid

“I love Barack Obama. I voted for him and I will forever be proud of my vote, so I can’t say anything bad against him . . . Why is nobody reading? I feel like, in our generation, people don’t read. . . . They don’t read books, they don’t read the paper, they don’t read the news. So obviously you are incredibly ill-informed to the point where they will go do these tests in Middle America, And they’ll ask, ‘OK, what party are you?’ And they’ll say, ‘Republican’. ‘Why?’ And they can’t even tell you. They have no idea what the Republican Party stands for.”
movie star Mila Kunis

UPDATE: Kitty in the comments suggests we should call Ms. Kunis’s attention to this video about Obama voters:

Of course, my favorite Obama voter is still Peggy Joseph:

What is really odd about her attitude is Mila was born in Ukraine during the Soviet occupation, so she ought to know better than support such far left social engineering.

I don’t think I’m primarily interested in her political views…

Didn’t Mila make some anti-communist statements previously?  Something about how it’s a great theory but doesn’t work in practice, much like “friends with benefits” sounds great but doesn’t really work?

But now we learn that she apparently thinks anyone who’s a Republican is Republican without having given any thought or reflection on the matter.  And she proudly voted for Obama and would apparently do so again.

I have news for Ms. Kunis… most Republicans are more well-read and can better articulate their political beliefs than can those on the other side.  (BTW, thanks, Mila, for perpetuating the stereotype that those of us living in flyover country are a bunch of uneducated rubes.  Nice to see your deep, reasoned argument there…)   Being Republican isn’t about feelings, it’s about facts, logic, reason, and a respect for honest hard work.  Things which are, sadly, sorely lacking among the left.

How can one be so smart about why communism doesn’t work, but can’t recognize a freaking Marxist right in front of her eyes?

Young and stupid is right…  Sheesh!

There are certain kinds of girls you’re supposed to forget about after one night, and Mila is one of them. You don’t take that seriously.

Mila – lets see how much you’ve learned. It’s been my experience that your generation, for the most part, can’t even name the current sitting vice-president much less speak credibly to the issues of today.

Here’s a list of questions required for one to become an American citizen – (to pass you must answer 6 of 10 random questions correctly. Pass the test and you have free reign to criticize me and my conservative companions. Fail and you’re just another idiot liberal lucky enough to have a forum to spread your ridiculous views.

    According to Wikipedia:

She briefly attended UCLA and Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles

    So she’s a college dropout.

But no, she’s clearly more on the ball about politics and history than the rest of us stupid Republicans.  I only have a Ph.D – how can I possibly compare with the brain power of someone who couldn’t cut it at Loyola Marymount.

Most people from Europe don’t really have much of a problem with the social engineering, its the jackboot thug tactics that eventually follow along behind them they don’t like. But her kind will always tell you it doesn’t have to be that way the next time around. The reality is they don’t mind the jackboot as long as its not on the backs of their necks.

It hardly matters that you read, if what you read is little more than talking points culled from the DNC’s daily emails, masquerading as “news.”

As they say, “garbage in, garbage out.”

Miss Kunis, you should heed the wisdom of another survivor of the Soviet System, Ayn Rand:

I’ll give you a hint. Contradictions do not exist. Whenever you think that you are facing a contradiction, check your premises. You will find that one of them is wrong.

Her error is in finding a distinction between liberalism and communism.
The distinction is without a difference as they are both merely to points on the same arc descending into serfdom and darkness.

She might just be looking for job security.  There are very few actors who will admit that they’re Republicans.  With a statement like that, she probably assures herself of future gigs.
