Freaks of Nature

Posted on | September 17, 2011 | 19 Comments

Anatoly Strakhov discovered this rare mutant — a baby seal with reddish fur and blue eyes — among a family of seals on Tyuleniy Island, Russia:

According to the London Daily Mail, this bizarre creature was rescued after the other seals “took an instant dislike to the ginger pup, leaving it to fend for itself.” A similar genetic anomaly was recently discovered in the United States.

My 12-year-old son Jefferson. He hasn’t been left to fend for himself. Yet.

But if he doesn’t clean up his room . . .

Well,  THAT’s freaking useless.  You can’t a coat out of one baby seal…

One 12-year-old, maybe, get cracking on that room kid!

I dunno, Stacy, this might be a closer genetic match to Jefferson.

    Especially since he’s a pre-teen.

Actually….perhaps I should clarify: the male and animal Gingers should be assigned to the CIA; my crew over at TCOTS should have first dibs [sic?] on the females [very sic].

Don’t knock it – some of those Dr. Seuss characters are filthy rich now.  The Cat became a haberdasher and made a fortune shorting fedora futures, Yertle earned millions in car wax products, Grinch is an international philanthropist and Horton practically owns Hooville.
