She continued, “It’s been time for another surge from the bottom for quite a while, and some of us have been waiting.”
What these Commies misunderstand, perhaps deliberately, is that the origin of the surge isn’t what’s important. Rather, the direction. As I was saying the other day, people like Piven are about power. The talk of money, itself, is mis-direction. It isn’t as though the Left is doing anything at all without piles of cash.
The direction that is of consequence is liberty. Those trying to use emotional means on groups of people are, unexpectedly, all about power, and never about liberty. Liberty is the litmus test for just about everything the Ruling Class and their useful academic tools like Piven have to say. Anybody not discussing individual liberty is truly surging from their bottom.

Piven is a fount of scatalogical material.
It’s her kind of thinking that let Santorum come from behind when everyone thought he was going to go down.
I could not agree less: first principles matter.
The direction is not important. Romney knows as well as Piven that an angry, ill-informed mob can be turned in any desired direction by a lie shouted loudly enough at the last minute. What neither of them has learned though is that the longer you have to keep shouting it, the less effective it is.
The incremental progressivists of the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s were smarter, less “To the Barricades” and more “add six weeks to unemployment bennies.” A small sugar cube atop others rather than a single painful kick in the ass.
Obama may well turn out to have made the same mistake as Romney and Piven, front-loading the scales too heavily and getting noticed, then provoking a reaction.
