Jumping in Pools reminds us of news down home:

Georgia’s 9th congressional district is holding their special election to replace Congressman Nathan Deal this afternoon. A Republican victory is almost guaranteed, but if none of the half-a-dozen GOP candidates (or the Democrat) capture 50.1% of the vote, a runoff election must be held in June, and a lack of Representation will continue in Congress for both Congressional Republicans, and Georgia’s 9th district. . . .

    You know what else is going on today? The special election to fill the state senate seat, formerly held by Scott Brown.
