We grew up in a country where appeals to race have been awful, terrible. This language — we are beyond this. It had to be called out.”

Two letters. Therein lies the rub. You either buy into Matthews’s Orwellian raaaaacism plantation as a current existential phenomenon, where Chris can rub his preciousssss Gollum hands together, and sanctimoniously declaim about YOUR evil, or you can say: Get Stuffed!

Matthews, whatever little Antebellum world exists in your head, it applies neither outside that head, nor the place the head is lodged. You, Jamelle Bouie et al.  are cordially invited to stated any current, actual racism (DNA-based decision making) you can find. But this backward-looking, airbrushed historical view is no longer tolerable. Recovering the economy is going to mean putting you and Uncle Choo-Choo out in a pasture somewhere, so that sane, honest people can be about their business.

  2. You have to admit, he’s brilliant. If “food stamps” is a racist term, there is nothing left for the opposition to say. Every time we open our mouths, we’ll be informed that what we said is racist. So shut up, winger. This is getting uglier and uglier.

  3. You just cut through all the BS and redefinition of the language to out Chrissy as a true “pecksniff”, which Dictionary.com defines as:

    noun: a person of Pecksniffian (adjectivehypocritically and unctuously affecting benevolence or high moral principles.)attitudes or behavior: a virtuousness that only a pecksniff could aspire to.

  5. Everything is racists to lefties, if it goes against their objectives.

    I wish I could say that Matthews beclowns himself. He does, but his behavior is fully acceptable to a significant portion of the American public.

    The polarization of America continues apace, and there’s little to be done about it.

  11. Every Republican about to go on a TV program needs to repeat the mantra before going on air: “I will not accept the premise of their questions.”

    I’m sure that’s how Newt pwns in interviews.

  13. Chris Matthews has wet brain. He developed his racist stereotypes living in the bubble of East Coast liberal big cities. He needs to evolve and see more of the country.
