Enabling rapists because . . . choice!

Planned Parenthood abortion clinics have come under fire countless times over the years for not reporting cases of statutory rape to authorities as required by state law. Now, in Arizona, officials says the abortion giant failed again to provide the proper report to authorities about a victim of a young man who is a serial rapist.
Not only did Planned Parenthood intentionally fail to report the rape but, in so doing, it allowed the rapist to rape as many as 18 or more teenage girls, authorities say, making it so the abortion company is partially responsible for victimizing them as well.

This is insane:

Tyler Kost, 18, is accused of raping or molesting at least 18 girls, most of them fellow classmates at Poston Butte High School. He is being held without bond in the Pinal County jail.
In forensic interviews with Sheriff’s Office sex crime detectives, a girl who says she became pregnant after Kost raped her last year visited a Planned Parenthood clinic with her mother on New Year’s Eve. According to the report, her mom told the staffer about the sexual assault during the visit.
“The counselor intentionally miscoded the assault as a consensual encounter,” the PCSO report states. “The counselor told them that they did not want the hassle of having to report the assault to law enforcement as they were a mandatory reporter.”
That’s a violation of Arizona law, which requires all suspected sexual abuse incidents be reported to law enforcement.

How did this kid become a serial rapist before he was old enough to vote? Maybe the backstory has been published somewhere.

Monica Lewinsky has opened up about her infamous presidential affair to reveal that she turned down offers that would’ve amounted to $10million because she ‘didn’t feel like the right thing to do’.

(Perhaps if she had been worried about “the right thing to do” before she fellated the President of the United States . . .)

Lewinsky, now 40, has penned a tell-all essay for Vanity Fair . . .
‘Sure, my boss took advantage of me, but I will always remain firm on this point: it was a consensual relationship. Any ‘abuse’ came in the aftermath, when I was made a scapegoat in order to protect his powerful position,’ she wrote in the essay. . . .

(Being used as a taxpayer-provided semen receptacle? That was “a consensual relationship” and OK. Being exposed for doing so — and for filing a perjurious affidavit in a federal civil rights lawsuit — is, however, “abuse.” If Clinton had not been in “his powerful position,” Lewinsky would not have been so eager to suck him off, but when the administration’s defenders, including its hired liars in the press corps, predictably circled the wagons to defend The Big He, Lewinsky seemed surprised to learn that her fate was incidental to process. But I could go on all day about this. Back to the story . . .)

When Lies Succeed

Has America become indifferent to truth?

The events in Benghazi seem to fit the description of a general-interest non-partisan disaster for the Administration. But, for now at least, as galling as it is, it’s hard not to give the Obama Administration (and the other villain of the tale, Hillary Clinton) points for managing the public’s reaction to the (possibly preventable) murder of a United States ambassador and the flurry of lies that followed it.
Why does this work? Or, alternatively, does it work?
My concern here is that our side tends to look at something utterly indefensible like this — “controversializing” a genuine news story — and say, “This won’t work.” Or: “This shouldn’t work.” Or: “This wouldn’t work if we all kept Tweeting about it.” But for now, at least, it’s working. Why? . . .

#NOAFW Kinder, Gentler Baby-Killing

Cosmopolitan magazine celebrates the Sacrament of Liberalism: New Jersey abortion clinic counselor Emily Lett got pregnant and recorded a video of her abortion experience, telling her story to “inspire other women to stop the guilt.” Wesley Smith comments: “Ah. good times. Becoming irresponsibly pregnant and then having a birth-like experience of destroying a fetus — complete with pictures!”

You’re not a real feminist until you (a) kill your own baby and (b) become a lesbian. Of course, if you avoid heterosexuality altogether, this deprives you of the opportunity to get pregnant (and then kill your baby like a good feminist should), but lifelong lesbians can make up for skipping the otherwise necessary abortion experience by encouraging other women to kill their babies.

(Did I mention that this is National Offend a Feminist Week?)

Gay Bishop’s Gay Divorce

Oh, the heartache of homosexual matrimony on the rocks!

Episcopal Bishop V. Gene Robinson, now retired, nearly prompted a schism in the Anglican Communion in 2003 when the New Hampshire diocese consecrated him as their bishop, despite his open relationship with partner Mark Andrew. Robinson and Andrew were joined in civil union in 2008, then wed two years later, after New Hampshire approved same-sex marriage. On Sunday, Robinson announced that, after 25 years together, he and Andrew are getting a divorce.
This is Robinson’s second divorce — he was married to his wife from 1972 until 1986, when he came out as gay. . . . “My belief in marriage is undiminished by the reality of divorcing someone I have loved for a very long time, and will continue to love even as we separate,” Robinson wrote Sunday in The Daily Beast. “Love can endure, even if a marriage cannot.”

So, after he spent a dozen years deceiving some pathetic woman in a dishonest sham of a marriage, Bishop Robinson then spent two dozen years with his “true love,” until that went stale and became tedious. What next? Will Robinson declare that he has been living a lie, as a woman bishop trapped in a gay male bishop’s body?

Benghazi: A Hole in the Tick-Tock

Tick-tock: Journalism jargon for a story that recounts events in chronological order, as if accompanied by the soundtrack of a ticking clock.

Last summer, at the request of American Spectator editor R. Emmett Tyrrell Jr., I spent several days trying to get the White House Press Office to answer a simple question:

The President of the United States is not only the most powerful man in the world, but also the most public, his daily life chronicled to the minute by the national press, his every word and action reported and analyzed by journalists and commentators. What the American president says and does is always automatically newsworthy and therefore it is profoundly mysterious that a hushed silence surrounds one of the most disturbing events of Barack Obama’s presidency, the Sept. 11, 2012, terrorist attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, that killed four Americans, including Ambassador Christopher Stevens.
Where was the president? This is a simple question, one to which the American people might reasonably expect an answer, but more than nine months after that deadly night, we still have not gotten a detailed answer and most in the media seem to have lost all interest in the question. . . .

The point was, and is, that we never got the “tick-tock” version of the White House’s Benghazi story — we don’t have a timeline of where Obama was and what he was doing, during the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2012. Here we are, nearly a year later, and journalists still haven’t gotten the tick-tock. Patterico did some poking around over the weekend:

Here is an interesting tidbit from the White House Visitor Logs for 9/11/12: Obama met with three people, at an unknown time, for “debate prep.” . . .
Obama appears [from the official White House schedule] to have been gone from the White House for much of the early part of the day. He observed a moment of silence on the South Lawn; visited the Pentagon Memorial; visited veterans at Walter Reed in Bethesda; returned to the White House; and met with Leon Panetta at 5 p.m. There are not too many holes in his schedule during the day — increasing the chances that the “debate prep” took place in the evening, after the meeting with Panetta . . . in other words, when the Benghazi attack was unfolding.

Patterico makes clear we don’t know when that happened, because we never got that tick-tock, and thus the question:

“What difference, at this point, does it make?”

It makes a difference because everybody — including Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the likely 2016 Democrat presidential nominee — spent weeks lying about what happened.

When the truth began to trickle out, the White House press corps was negligent in its duty, and let the Benghazi lies go unexamined during the weeks while President Obama got himself re-elected.

We still don’t have the whole truth, but Democrats are calling for a “boycott” of a congressional investigation trying to get the truth, many in the media are dismissive of the investigation, and thus actively participating in this partisan cover-up!

The questions must be answered, and those who participated in the cover-up — including the media — must be held to account.
