‘Why In The Hell Is Eric Holder Still Attorney General?’

E. T. Williams Jr. just rocks:
To answer Mr. William’s question, Holder is sill the AGJ because he is both a Reliable Tool and, also, he Knows Too Much. My guess is that Holder has a signed presidential pardon in his safe. Would you exhibit the sort of cheek that Eric Holder offers before Congress without a Get Out Of Jail Free card in hot standby?

Maher Veers In The Direction Of Coherence While Contrasting #Occupy With Tea Party
Posted on | June 9, 2012 | 5 Comments
by Smitty (via Breitbart)
Potty mouth alert. Maher cannot communicate a point without an F-bomb. He correctly grasps that, in terms of tangible results, #OccupyWallStreet is indistinguishable from the World’s Youngest Blogger’s #OccupyDiaper parody routine.
But he is incapable of grasping that the Tea Parties did things The Right Way. In supporting liberty, in adhering to the Founder’s principles, in leaving locations cleaner than they found them, Tea Partiers exemplify an adult approach to political involvement. When Maher says that the Tea Party used Alinsky tactics, he’s either (a) ignorant of Alinsky’s evil, or (b) doubling down on the evil with slander.
Lord, grant Bill Maher some insight into how completely wrong he is.

Clinton: “I Thought Something Had To Be Done On The ‘Arterial Bleeding’ Before The Election”
Posted on | June 9, 2012 | 21 Comments
by Smitty (via Hot Air)
Bubba actually said ‘fiscal cliff’, not ‘arterial bleeding’, but look at the evil on display:
“I’m very sorry about what happened,” Clinton said in an interview to air on CNN’s “The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer.” “I thought something had to be done on the ‘fiscal cliff’ before the election. Apparently nothing has to be done until the first of the year.”. . .
“I really was under the impression that they would have to do something before the election, and I was trying to figure out how they would kick it to last (through) the election,” he said.
He continued: “Once I realized that nothing had to be done until the first of the year, I supported (Obama’s) position.”
You might be tempted to think that a guy who is publicly listed as a Baptist might have a clue about, you know, the Bible:
Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
Really, Bill, and all of you other public figures who lay any claim to faith: cut the noise. We don’t have a budget at all, and even if we did, it’s unlikely that it would be balanced. The casual air with which proper execution of public office is subordinated to grubby political concerns here is sickening. Would that our political figures, if they insist upon blowing off their duty, would at least have the integrity to have themselves more accurately listed as ‘Pagan’, or, for the completely depraved, ‘Satanist’.
I beg pardon from all of the readers who think this an odd tangent. Bill Clinton is, to me, what Nancy Pelosi may be to some Roman Catholics, or Harry Reid may be to Mormons: a study in despicable falsehood. May Bill read this blog post and repent. Not holding my breath on that one; he seems rather committed to evil.
Lowry at The Corner, however, thought Bill artistic, at least in the context of Bain:
There’s nothing like being lied to by Bill Clinton. He just has a knack for dishonesties that are so blatant and amusing that it’s difficult to hold them against him. Here’s a classic instance, cleaning up his Bain mess:
I didn’t have any idea, when I was giving that answer, that I was wading into some controversy in the campaign, because I haven’t seen the ads, and I’m not following it, and I’m not really part of it. But you’d have to know about a specific case to know whether it was a good or a bad thing. But there are a lot of good people in that business doing good things. That’s the point I was making.
When Bill says “I didn’t have any idea”, you should hear that as “I knew precisely what I was about.”
I am given to understand that Bill is nearly hypnotic in person; if you give him a microphone and ten minutes, he’ll have you convinced that his negatives boil down to misunderstandings or rough treatment from the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy. Doesn’t make him less diabolical.
Noonan Unexpectedly Conscious

by Smitty
For reasons of time and fair use, I’ll confine myself to mocking the first three paragraphs of Peggy’s latest:
| Noonan | Smitty |
|---|---|
| What happened in Wisconsin signals a shift in political mood and assumption. Public employee unions were beaten back and defeated in a state with a long progressive tradition. The unions and their allies put everything they had into “one of their most aggressive grass-roots campaigns ever,” as the Washington Post’s Paul Whoriskey and Dan Balz reported in a day-after piece. Fifty thousand volunteers made phone calls and knocked on 1.4 million doors to get out the vote against Gov. Scott Walker. Mr. Walker’s supporters, less deeply organized on the ground, had a considerable advantage in money. | Holy lagging indicator, Batwoman! You’ve finally realized that the last three years have happened. The next thing you know, Peggy, you’re going to locate the clue that the whole Progressive welfare state is kaput! Auto-Cloward-Pivened! Toast! And let’s be careful about that “considerable advantage” hooey:
|
| But organization and money aren’t the headline. The shift in mood and assumption is. The vote was a blow to the power and prestige not only of the unions but of the blue-state budgetary model, which for two generations has been: Public-employee unions with their manpower, money and clout, get what they want. If you move against them, you will be crushed. | Fair statement. You could note that Walker didn’t do anything that wasn’t part of his campaign platform when he ran for governor in the first place. That is, the notion that the blue state model ist kaput didn’t just occur suddenly in Wisconsin. There has been a groundswell. The Tea Party. That outfit you love to hate, Peggy. |
| Mr. Walker was not crushed. He was buoyed, winning by a solid seven points in a high-turnout race. | Is it such a shock that a political leader can run on common sense and courage and find support in the electorate? Is your contempt for the hoi polloi so deep, Peggy? I’m extrapolating from this one paragraph to the whole of your condescending body of columns, but there it is. I don’t think that you grasp that the Internet has changed everything. |
Someone continue the fisk and email me a link.

Celebrating Smitty’s return from Afghanistan, September 2011
FROM AN UNDISCLOSED LOCATION
Remember when an alleged “singer,” performing under the name Champagne Dream, recorded an unspeakably wretched version of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Sweet Home Alabama”?
Alas, the video has been removed from the Internet, so that readers can no longer experience the weird combination of insane laughter and projectile vomiting that Champagne’s performance invariably produced. More than two years later, however, the April 2010 blog post about that bizarre musical monstrosity — “VIDEO: Hate Crime Caught on Camera!” — retains the all-time record for the most-commented post in the history of TheOtherMcCain.com.
We just recorded our 10 millionth hit — 6.7 million since Smitty switched us from the original Blogspot format to the custom WordPress site on New Year’s Day 2010 — and, in commemoration of this occasion, I asked Smitty to compile the list of Top 20 Most-Commented Posts:

What is most pleasing to me in this list is the extent to which it is dominated by original reporting. “Content is king,” they say, and some of these items were actual shoe-leather work, such as No. 14, my live report from Anchorage, Alaska, about the GOP Senate primary between Joe Miller and Lisa Murkowski.
Something funny to notice is how, sometimes, news just happens.
Two of the Top 20 (No. 5 and No. 13) were products of my November 2011 trip to the Americans for Prosperity Summit. I went to D.C. that weekend to see the GOP presidential contenders who were speaking at the Summit, and also expecting to drink free at the expense of some of my sources. But I accidentally found myself in the middle of a riot — “#OWS Protesters Attempt to Storm AFP Defending the American Dream Summit.”
That wasn’t something I planned or expected. I’d stepped outside to have a cigarette and wandered over to watch the Occupy DC protesters do their silly chants. Chris Moody of Yahoo News and Michelle Fields of the Daily Caller were standing in front of a cop car, watching them, too. We chatted a bit — reporters comparing notes — and then one of the Occupy leaders yelled, “Road trip!” That was apparently their pre-arranged signal to rush the doors, and I turned on my little pink camera (the famous “Barbie Cam”) to record the action:
Total chaos. When I wedged my way through the mob, trying to get inside to safety, I found that the cops had locked the doors to prevent the Occupiers from entering. So I was trapped in the middle of all these enraged smelly hippies, and noticed I shared this predicament with four other “civilians”: Two AFP Summit attendees, as well as Michelle Fields and her Daily Caller videographer.
When news breaks, every second counts. There is high value to being the first to get a breaking story online: “The need for speed.”
As soon as the cops finally let us “civilians” inside, I sprinted upstairs, and filed this as quickly as I could type it:
WASHINGTON, D.C.
“Occupy DC” protesters just attempted to force their way into the Washington Convention Center where the Americans for Prosperity Foundation is holding its Ronald Reagan tribute dinner for the “Defending the American Dream Summit.” I was in the middle of the scrum of smelly hippies when they stormed the doors and have multiple photos and video which I’m uploading now. . . .
Got that online, sent it out via Twitter and e-mailed a tip to Instapundit, while waiting for the video to upload to YouTube, then embedded that in the first update. By 9:20 p.m., it was linked at Instapundit and by 10:30 p.m., I was enjoying free beers at the expense of my sources — as originally planned.
Then, the follow-up: The next morning, while driving home from the Summit, I rummaged through my pockets, found Michelle Fields’s business card and called her up, switched on my digital recorder and conducted a brief interview while I drove up I-270. Recognizing the news value of what she had told me, I exited the freeway at Gaithersburg, went into a Burger King (free WiFi), set up my laptop, transcribed the recording, and posted the exclusive: “‘F– Michelle Fields!’ — Interview With Reporter Harassed at Occupy DC Protest.”
At 10:52 a.m., that was also linked at Instapundit. Then I finished my breakfast, got back in my car and drove home, knowing that by the happy coincidence of good luck and experienced news judgment, I’d just scored another important exclusive.
Hey, whatever happened to the Occupy movement, huh? Read more
@AceOfSpadesHQ BREAKS SILENCE: #BrettKimberlin’s Escalating Threat
Posted on | June 8, 2012 | 67 Comments
“Quo usque tandem abutere, Catilina, patientia nostra? quam diu etiam furor iste tuus nos eludet? quem ad finem sese effrenata iactabit audacia? . . . Patere tua consilia non sentis, constrictam iam horum omnium scientia teneri coniurationem tuam non vides? O tempora, o mores! Senatus haec intellegit. Consul videt; hic tamen vivit.”
— Marcus Tullius Cicero, 63 B.C.
FROM AN UNDISCLOSED LOCATION
Being sanguine by nature, as I told Nice Deb in an interview a couple weeks ago, I don’t scare easy, and sometimes am accused of recklessness, as well as disregard for the feelings of others who are of a more cautious temperament.
“No discretion,” as one critic recently said in a conversation that was rather less private than she believed. Selah.
To live your life constantly deferring to the opinions of others is to forfeit your independence and become a slave to peer pressure.
Nevertheless, in the matter of Brett Kimberlin, there are matters of operational security to be kept in mind, information which cannot be revealed, lest we give The Pipsqueak Monster some clue as to what measures are being taken to guard against his nefarious schemes and the actions of his evil accomplices. Exercising discretion is therefore vital, and I’ve had to judge carefully what to discuss in public.
Let me repeat what I’ve said before: If Brett Kimberlin and Neal Rauhauser are not under FBI surveillance, why the hell not?
This is merely a surmise, which any reasonable person would make, based upon well-known facts, and I do not doubt that both Kimberlin and Rauhauser are aware of this. Their phones, e-mails and other communications are almost certainly being monitored, and they cannot make a move that the feds don’t know about.
My surmise in this matter — what you might call an educated hunch — probably accounts for the increasingly frantic and desperate activity of the various Web presences that comprise what Ken at Popehat calls “Team Kimberlin.” They’re acting scared, and looking very guilty, trying to re-direct suspicion away from themselves by pointing the accusatory finger at others.
Vicious dishonest cowards don’t scare me one bit.
Fear a man who is honest and brave, but never fear a lying coward, because such sadistic monsters delight in inspiring fear.
If you want to be frightened about something, think about this: Neal Rauhauser has boasted about having contacts in the FBI. What sort of disinformation has Rauhauser given the feds? Could it be that federal agents are actually assisting his smear machine? We know that Attorney General Eric Holder is either incompetent or corrupt — perhaps both — but the possibility that the taint of political corruption has spread to the FBI should be a concern to every honest American citizen.
Brett Kimberlin will not be stopped by scrutiny. Even when he was a suspect in the Speedway Bombings, and being followed by agents of the FBI — and he knewhe was being followed — he continued to conduct his large-scale drug smuggling operation. While being investigated for the Speedway Bombings, he was arrested independently for procuring false military ID. And then, having been arrested (and released) for procuring false military ID, he was arrested for smuggling tons of marijuana into America.
The fact that the FBI was watching him didn’t seem to matter. He considers them stupid; he always thinks he’s one step ahead of them. The fact that he has frequently been arrested and caught does not seem to enter into his reasoning.
It’s brilliant work — he ain’t the Jack of Spades, y’know — and I share Ace’s belief that congressional action is imperative. But my educated hunch is that honest law enforcement officials will slap the cuffs on Kimberlin before Congress can enact legislation, and I can only pray that they act before someone gets hurt even worse than Kimberlin’s previous victims have been hurt.
Like Cicero said: “Hic tamen vivit.”
