Kristen Stewart, who won legions of young fans in the popular “Twilight” vampire drama, plays an exotic dancer a stripper a dirty whore in her new film Welcome to the Rileys. And it’s a wholesome family funfest!

“Most Twilight fans are young girls and this is a really good story for them,” the actress, 19, who shows off her butt cheeks and plays a prostitute in the movie, told UsMagazine.com at the Sundance Film Festival over the weekend.
In the film, Stewart also dances briefly in a strip club and curses frequently, but she still believes it’s appropriate for her mostly teen and pre-teen fans.
“It’s very much an adolescent story,” she says. “At its core, it’s a very adolescent story. What she goes through could happen to any girl.”

Just read the synopsis on imdb.com and…just shoot me!

This story is so dysfunctional! To say nothing of the people in it.

These actors are so infected with hollywoodism (same as communism…but the women are better looking), if I heard someone scream “allah akhbaar” on rodeo drive, I’d look the other way.

    Ditto Ron.

Now, I’ve got nothing against a good story or even some suspension of disbelief, but I am horrified at the idea of glamourising prostitution, stripping, dysfunction, divorce, infidelity, and death.

Give me a freaking break. In reality, the husband would have contracted a STD, his mistress would have gotten knocked up, the wife would have shot one or both of them (or herself), and the stripper would be too consumed by drugs, alcohol, and past abuse to be helped.

    UGH.

    Brilliant post.

However the blog ad to the right with Pamela Anderson covering the nipple of her, um, rather large naked mammary minimizes the point as red text beckons shamelessly: come see what the controversy surrounding her new video is about!

If it’s at Sundance film festival or on their channel, you know it will be anti-family, anti-American, anti-everything that made America great.

    Shame on Robert Redford
