A US appeals court has ruled a couple who gave their children Nazi-inspired names should not regain custody, citing the risk of serious injury to them.
Adolf Hitler Campbell, 4, and his sisters, JoyceLynn Aryan Nation, 3, and Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie, 2, were taken from their New Jersey home in 2009.
The case first came to public attention in December 2008 after a shop refused to decorate a birthday cake for Adolf. . . .

Allow me to suggest that (a) if the Campbells were truly the Nordic Übermenschen they claim to be, maybe they’d be able to decorate their own kid’s birthday cake at home; and (b) if the name “Hitler Campbell” bothers you, how do you feel about the names “Russia” and “Kenyatta”?

    Plus people could never wrap their heads about commies as well as they could about nazis. Maybe because commie leaders always dressed like Da Tech Guy and nazis looked sharp and evil in those uniforms.

    I’ve got no time for Nazis.

    I do, however, find it endlessly fascinating that the devotees of some mass-murdering totalitarian philosophies are less equal than the devotees of other mass-murdering totalitarian philosophies.

    In a rational world, I would think that Hitler’s disciples would be thought of as slightly less repugnant than Marx’s are, since the disciples of Marx have killed a whole lot more innocent people.

    If we are going to get stuck-on-stoopid regarding names, lefties should be up in arms agout any child born after 11-2000 named George, or Walker, or Dick, or Richard, and conservative loons upset with any child named William, or Barry.
    I personally think the names are dumb beyond dumb, and that in light of such, an array of reasons might exist to not let folk like that be parents, but the names alone are no reason.
    Wit ha name like that, Adolph Campbell will either be the toughest kid in the county, or the regional punching bag.
    As for Ms Aryan Nation, my bet is she marries a person of color, and lives happily ever after.
