Herman Cain Refuses to Be Intimidated by Political Correctness

When Think Progress accuses him of “bigotry,” you know that’s got to help him in the GOP primaries:

There is this creeping attempt, there is this attempt to gradually ease Sharia law and the Muslim faith into our government. It does not belong in our government. This is what happened in Europe. And little by little, to try and be politically correct, they made this little change, they made this little change. And now they’ve got a social problem that they don’t know what to do with hardly.

A statement that has the virtue of being absolutely true. I’m sure Mark Steyn, Pamela Geller, Robert Spencer, Melanie Phillips and many others who have written about the Islamicization of Europe will applaud Cain’s courage in describing the problem so forthrightly.

UPDATE: The Underground Conservative:

When we have a circuit judge in Florida announcing that he will rule on a case using sharia law rather than state law or the U.S. Constitution, we have a problem.

All the more reason to join the grassroots online army at Citizens for Cain.
