A Pansy-Assed Apology: ‘You Christians Are Too Christian, and Not Gay Enough’

Over the weekend, Dan Savage’s attack on Christianity became an online sensation — strange, how these coincidences happen — to the point that he felt obliged to issue an apology for a dishonest new defense of his hateful bigotry: Because the Bible says things Dan Savage doesn’t like, you must reject God and obey Dan Savage.
Quod Erat Demonstrandum!
Roxeanne de Luca helpfully translates Savage’s message:
“The core of anti-bullying is for me to retaliate against people who bullied me back in the 1980s by bullying kids who weren’t even alive back then, but are sort of like the people who bullied me. ‘Cuz I’m anti-bullying, dude, I perpetuate the cycle of bullying!”
People like Dan Savage never apologize. Their arrogant sense of entitlement — their privileged status as Righteous Victims — prevents them from acknowledging any capacity for error.
Externalizing blame for their unhappiness by inveighing against ideological scapegoats, their psychopathic politics requires them to believe that no wrong they commit can detract from their moral superiority to the objects of their hatred.
They hate God and love only themselves, considering Christians “a thankfully shrinking minority in this country.”
“Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools . . .”
UPDATE: Wow, Teresa Koch sure hates gay people, huh? (BTW, Teresa: Your daughter is not actually gay. She’s part of the alarming upsurge of pseudo-lesbianism that began on April 28, 1989, which just happens to have been the day I got married. Your daughter, like so many other attractive young women, apparently decided that if I was no longer available . . .)
