Will Jesse Kelly Surf A Wisconsin Wave In The Arizona-8 Special Election 12Jun?

Eternal political vigilance is the price of freedom, and we’ve got a multi-trillion dollar tab to show for how we, as a whole, have flaked off these decades. Signs of life such as yesterday’s recall in Wisconsin are necessary, but not sufficient. Continuous engagement is the new rule. Thus, attention shifts to a special election in Arizona’s 8th District, which holds a special election next Tuesday to replace the incredibly tough Gabrielle Giffords, wounded amidst the tragedy of January 8, 2011.

This election pits a former staffer, Ron Barber, against Jesse Kelly:

Jesse Kelly, candidate for Arizona CD 8’s special congressional election, is an Iraq War veteran with a commitment to restoring the fundamental qualities that make America great. Jesse is a proud husband, a father of two boys, and a businessman.
Jesse works as a project manager for the family construction business in an enterprise that takes him across the southwest region of United States. In his managerial capacity, he accepts responsibility for completing multi-million dollar projects–on time and within budget. Through his work, he understands how to schedule and balance human resources, time, and money. He has also seen firsthand that Southern Arizona families struggle to keep food on the table in this stagnant economy. That must change.
Prior to joining the family business, Jesse served in the United States Marine Corps. During his four years in the military, he led a squad in the Mortar Section of the 1st Battalion, 7th Marines and participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was honorably discharged in 2004.

  • War hero? Check
  • Conservative? Check
  • Business experience, awesome spouse, knows what to do with our southern perimeter? Check, check, check.

It would have been better for Kelly to have run against a whole Gabrielle Giffords, absent the tragedy of a year and a half ago. Yet this is the existence in which we live.

Indeed!  I hate it that Giffords was shot. I just hope her staffer doesn’t end up with some kind of sympathy vote. Gifford was bad enough.

What’s with the Alan Grayson ad? Put a progressive champion back in Congress? More like loony left wing maniac. We already have enough morons in Congress. So,

    Jesse Kelly for Congress!

I kinda like the occasional progressive ad on here, it serves to remind one that even though some of the pests have scurried back into the woodwork the woodwork still needs replacing.

Also, if I’m not mistaken, it’s an opportunity to make Grayson’s campaign hit Stacy’s tip jar, so to speak?

AZ resident here, Jesse Kelly is the reason why Gabrielle Giffords kept her seat.

Kelly is a TeaTard in the same vein as Sharon Angle or Christine O’Donnell.  We had a MUCH more electable Republican with Paton who was a popular, elected State Senator in that district, but the mouth breathers wanted to thump their chest.  Kelly will likely lose again, but this time to a complete lightweight staffer.

Thank Heavens the retards didn’t get their way with the GOP Presidential nomination.

What a sweet, sweet troll you are. Does “TeaTard” make you feel better for how the dishonorable attempt to unseat Walker failed? It’s really all about your infantile emotions, isn’t it?
