Homophobic Bigotry Update

Posted on | April 9, 2013 | 51 Comments

Why is there so much anti-gay prejudice nowadays? For example, Dave Blount at Moonbattery says only “a sick, demented society” would “facilitate” adoption by same-sex couples. I can’t imagine why anyone would say that, can you?

George Harasz and Douglas Wirth, a married couple from Glastonbury, Conn., were arrested in November 2011 following allegations by two of their nine adopted children of sexual abuse.

But these are merely allegations! It’s not as if these two guys have shown any unusual interest in young boys, right?

The case of a same-sex Connecticut couple accused of repeatedly raping and abusing two of their nine adopted boys is headed for trial. . . .
Harasz and Wirth adopted nine children — three sets of male siblings — beginning in 2000 . . .

Yes, but this doesn’t prove anything, does it? Just because two gay men adopted nine boys . . .

“They took turns raping me over and over,” one of the boys said at a hearing Friday in Hartford Superior Court, testifying that the abuse began when he was only 6 years old.

Stop that, you haters! Obviously, this is just a cheap homophobic smear-job created by right-wingers on Fox News!

Oh, “facts.” Facts are just so . . . unfair.

So, SOME parents in general are horrible people? Who knew? I guess there are scum of the earth that walk among us regardless of what their sexual preference is. Sad, cause the media and politicians are going out of their way to tell us we are missing something in life if our parents are not of the same gender.

Horrifying. I guess all of those scientific studies that told us that there were no ill effects to raising a child with a same sex couple missed this one.

Obviously they’re not authentic gay men! They’re heteronormativated self-loathing gay men who hatched this plot years ago.

(I’d better include a disclaimer on this one, lest some gay crusader make this same argument with a straight <ahem> face…)

When children are assigned to gay parents they are being deprived of a mother or a father.

Homosexuals represent about 3-4% of society but 33% of child molesters. Allowing homosexual parents to adopt a child is unforgivable.

And soon, according to California Law, they won’t even have to adopt to get access to underage boys and girls.

the State has enabled and aided them in their perversion and assault. don’t try to tell me that two STRAIGHT guys would’ve been able to adopt tween age girls without a blink by authorities.

It’s because the Homo Mafia has shown they will destroy anyone who threatens their agenda and/or lies. That’s the complaint.

It’s not hate to hate perverts who molest children.

Or do you think that’s okay?

    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/1556756 Abstract

Previous investigations have indicated that the ratio of sex offenders against female children vs. offenders against male children is approximately 2:1, while the ratio of gynephiles to androphiles among the general population is approximately 20:1. The present study investigated whether the etiology of preferred partner sex among pedophiles is related to the etiology of preferred partner sex among males preferring adult partners. Using phallometric test sensitivities to calculate the proportion of true pedophiles among various groups of sex offenders against children, and taking into consideration previously reported mean numbers of victims per offender group, the ratio of heterosexual to homosexual pedophiles was calculated to be approximately 11:1. This suggests that the resulting proportion of true pedophiles among persons with a homosexual erotic development is greater than that in persons who develop heterosexually. This, of course, would not indicate that androphilic males have a greater propensity to offend against children.

Since we’re on this stupid path of letting a tiny minority dictate policy to the masses, maybe we should all follow the brilliant thinking of the current crop of Republicans (more open gay borders!) and focus on the rights of an even smaller minority, the Homosexual Child Predator community.

    It’s in the Constitution!

  27. NeoWayland

I’ll admit I don’t have statistical studies at my fingertips. There are some things that give me pause though, at least for the general case of homosexuals = pedophilia.

In our culture today, the accusation of sexual abuse is far worse than actually being convicted. Once a man is called a sexual offender or entered in one of the infamously inaccurate sexual offender databases, it’s almost impossible to get rid of the label. It doesn’t matter if he is found guilty or not. A friend of mine went through a very ugly divorce and he still isn’t allowed to see his kids six years late. Remember the Duke lacrosse team.

Also in our culture today, “think of the children!!!” is one of the common attacks against unpopular minorities. Religions are an easy target here, and most responsible non-mainstream faiths will be careful with what they share with anyone underage. I’ve no direct experience, but some of my gay friends have told me that they have to be extra careful when they talk with minors. Sometimes it is accurate and sometimes it’s not, but it sure gets the headlines no matter what the actual facts are.

There are still people from the McMartian preschool case who are living nightmares decades after being falsely accused of sex crimes against children.

Psychology and psychiatry were both used to condemn homosexuality. Now that doesn’t sound all that bad until you look at all the other things that those soft sciences have been used to condemn over the years. Rock and roll music, the 20th Century civil rights movement, and the Republican party come to mind.

The whole definition of homosexual is still up to debate, even within the “community” itself. Try asking if a bisexual is gay or straight and see the response you get. As always, it depends on who and when you ask.

By now it should be pretty obvious that I object to condemning someone based on a label or class, no matter what the label is. I prefer examining what the individual does and says. Does more than says.

So for the cases mentioned here, yeah, let’s be careful before letting kids play in the front yard. But as a general excuse to condemn all homosexuals, it falls short.

Read a couple of stories of the male children of lesbians are going through gender-reassignment – and they the children are not old enough to read (which isn’t a fair metric since most HS graduates these days can’t read either).

Interesting how the Prognazis and the newly modern, socially progressive GOP refuse to look to the disintegration of the Black Family and the rise of the Welfare Amazons for real-time, real-world information on how a child fares in a non-standard family.
Guess Jerry Falwell and James Dobson were correct, again.

Part of the problem is that the Catholic sex scandals, which involved mostly post-pubescent victims, were initially portrayed in the media as child sex abuse rather than gay sex with underage teens.

Of course, these days apparently childhood lasts until one’s 26th birthday…

People that are obsessed with sex and sexuality are willing to commit acts that are well beyond anything considered normal. This applies to heteros as well as homosexuals.
My life experience over the last 50 years is that, by their
very nature, a large percentage of gay males are obsessed with sex. Their whole existence revolves around their gayness and promiscuous sexual encounters. This behavior was exemplified by gay male Gaëtan
Dugas, who admitted to having over 2500 acts of homosexual intercourse in one calender year.

From the web page I cite: “One individual has claimed to have data that prove homosexuals to be child molesters at a higher rate than heterosexuals. That person is Paul Cameron. As detailed elsewhere on this site,Cameron’s survey data are subject to so many methodological flaws as to be virtually meaningless. Even so, his assertions are sometimes quoted by antigay organizations in their attempts to link homosexuality with child sexual abuse.”

So you pick out a single case of child abuse by a gay couple and conclude that any household with same sex partners will not be a safe place for children? I’m sure you could find a few examples of heterosexual couples sexually abusing children, adopted or otherwise. But I guess that would run against the paranoid narrative you’re trying to advance.
