Trolls Are Bad People

Spend enough time in online New Media and eventually you discover that people who do bad things on the Internet are also usually bad people in real life, too. One of the predictable habits of bad people on the Internet is the use of multiple fake “sockpuppet” accounts to attack their enemies. Neal Rauhauser’s “Gaped Crusader” harassment against Patterico was a classic example of this pattern.

When you see a troll behaving that way online, it’s safe to assume that the troll is a wretched excuse for a human being. Confirmation of this is a long, long post Bullyville put up about Tom Retzlaff of San Antonio, Texas. Retzlaff is such a slimy creepazoid I’m astonished that Texas ever let him out of prison.

After he got out of prison, Retzlaff lied on his application to the MBA program at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), falsely claiming to be a veteran of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

When Retzlaff’s dishonesty was exposed (evidently as a result of his harassment of a Chinese foreign exchange student at UTSA), Retzlaff then sued various university employees for defamation. But somehow, despite being a convicted felon, Retzlaff lied his way into a job as a private investigator for a law firm. He got fired from that job in 2012 and then sued the law firm.  Retzlaff has tried unsuccessfully to get his criminal record expunged, but that was before he made the mistake of going to war against Bullyville.

    Sue on what grounds? twitter stalking? Like i said, it works both ways and twitter TOS is enough to take care of that.

    I have gone through a lot of evidence available online, it’s true Victoria has been a target but there is no proof that the person behind NicoleB on twitter is the one who is involved in these attacks–outside of twitter (for ex: RipoffReport posting.) Jeanette might be claiming that this person(s) is NicoleB out of paranoia, actually she could be counter-sued if she keeps doing this.

    She is very disparate asking for help from anyone who can help her Dox NicoleB. Bullyville is just one in line, she would approach any one (even employ criminal means/help) to DOX her alleged tormenter. And she doesn’t even have the good sense to use an anonymous id even if her actions border on criminality.

    You guys need to counsel her to handle her problems in a mature way instead of encouraging her paranoia. QM, you have a responsibility.

    I have done my research, extensively now. I sympathize with Jeanne’s plight. But the way she is handling all the online harassment (going back for over 6 years now), is not totally helping her. In fact she is complicating things and inviting more trouble by soliciting help from dark corners. She can be taken advantage of by these shady characters. I’m giving you a heads up on this.

    I believe that the persona known as “Anamika” is here simply to stir up s**t, to disrupt conversations. I’ve seen this behavior in many other blogs.

    “She” (if the person behind “Anamika” is actually female) changes her approach on a routine basis. One post actually approaches coherence, the next is pure gibberish. A bit later, the concern troll briefly emerges, followed by the hardcore leftie “she” started out as a long time ago.

    The charitable would say “she” is bipolar. Well, charitable I ain’t. Anamika is an operator, a persona created for the purpose of harassing conservative blogs, enticing commenters into saying things that might be used against them, or against the blog host. I find it hard to believe otherwise, given “her” changing shtick of late.

    “She” is nucking futz in the sense that “she” espouses leftie (i.e. communist or marxist) doctrine with enthusiasm and glee. Such people are mentally ill in the first place, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t treat them as a threat.

    I’m sorry you don’t see it that way. Hackforums is a notorious place for anyone to approach for help on such matters.

    This is what she said:

    “I only want one thing to find out who this stalker is.”

    That’s DOXING, and through any means given the nature of the forum. She claims to have paid over a thousand dollars for someone who cheated her off her money. And she is now offering to pay to hackers at HF again to find the real life identity of NicoleB (doesn’t matter if she was/not involved in attacks on her that were other than twitter stalking.)

    This is kinda like a rape victim who approaches all sort of thugs to find one who might help her track down and attack rapist thugs.

    What if her opponents and tormenters find that post? Would they not go to any extent (even pretending to help her track down what she wants) and cheat her even further? What if NicoleB finds out? Wouldn’t she have ammo against her when it comes to legal merits if both of them actually sue each other.

    Please QM, see it for what it is. There are so many things wrong with that post at HF. Jeanne is naive and needs proper guidance from people that are wiser(folks like u that she might listen to) if she wants to go after somebody/anybody. For now, it seems to be that she is totally obsessed with the real life identity of NicoleB and is willing to go to any extent to get her suspicions confirmed.

    Unfortunately, hacking is never ever justified in courts. As long as you are never caught…that is…

    It isn’t justified in the court of law even for large corporations that are victims of hacking attacks who take steps to not only protect themselves but actually go after the hackers by hacking them back and exposing their real identities etc.

    Making a public post at a notorious hacker’s forum with your real life id, is inviting trouble from everywhere (NicoleB, law, other attackers of Jeanne over a period of 7 years, hackers themeslves and the law.)

    Imagine what sort of help she is asking from hackers everywhere in private conversations.

    Asking Bullyville for help is one thing (they are conservatives who look out for your best interests) but how can she trust hackers and others who are ANONYMOUS themselves?

    Jeanne’s online troubles began 7 years ago beginning with Rev. Sutter. She (a strong social conservative) came into contact with NicoleB(a rabid liberal) during FreeKate campaign a few moths ago. They tussled online on twitter and NB searched her on google and found some really crazy shit (courtesy of old Rev Sutter campaigns against Jeanne). NB attacked Jeanne with this info, and taunted Jeanne that she cannot find anything to hit her back with. She has history only on twitter, and a prolific one with over 20k tweets, so the best she could find was an alleged tweet doxing a 9 year old. In the meanwhile more online attacks on Jeanne contnued with RipoffReport posting, which she successfully defends herself with help from ex-con Lemmen and others. She claims NB is behind that posting. And now she wants to expose NB’s real life id and see her suffer. This is not about stopping alleged atatcks and protecting herslef from NB. This about PAY BACK and the joy that comes from seeing your opponent suffer like you had. There were so many transgressions by anonymous ids and attacks and posting online about Jeanne on the net for a period of 7 years. Except for Rev. Sutter none were ever exposed or their attacks removed from net. NB cannot be blamed for all the shit that (unfortunately) exists about Jeanne on the web.

    It seems as if Jeanne believes she has nothing more to lose, so let me see someone suffer, but by what means?

    Second, if my comments about your post at HF in thread led to NicoleB being alerted by someone…well you should have seen it coming and taken proper precautions. TOM is a very popular blog and search results show up easily on google. moreover it’s not like you didn’t want NicoleB to see (/get alerted of) what you were doing at HF. You shouldn’t have used your real name and the conservativehideout url (without shortening it using tinyurl.com etc) that would easily show up on google. I really don’t see why you would complain about “escalating” as you are the only person who is responsible.

    I’m certainly concerned with your well being. (See my comment to you from 12 days ago.) I know you suffered a lot in life. You are elder than my grandma. And i don’t understand why your friends don’t counsel you, instead they seem to encourage you (Quartermaster, Lemmen et al) in this “escalation”.     You’re also demonstrating why everyone here thinks your simply an idiot troll. The “hacker” is trying to gaslight her. She has the right to defend herself and if that means a court compels the revelation of who the perp is, courts have done it before. You are welcome to rave as much as you like and your stupidity will not change the fact that she has the right to defend herself, and enter into open court to start that process.
