The #BlackLivesMatter Shakedown

Posted on | February 26, 2016 | 37 Comments

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has yielded to thug-mob tactics, issuing a statement in support of the dangerous anti-police terrorist movement, #BlackLivesMatter:

There have been several recent instances of people crossing out “black lives matter” and writing “all lives matter” on the walls at [Facebook headquarters].
Despite my clear communication at Q&A last week that this was unacceptable . . . this has happened again. I was already very disappointed by this disrespectful behavior before, but after my communication I now consider this malicious as well.
There are specific issues affecting the black community in the United States, coming from a history of oppression and racism. ‘Black lives matter’ doesn’t mean other lives don’t — it’s simply asking that the black community also achieves the justice they deserve. . . .

In reporting this at Gizmodo, Michael Nunez smears “Facebook’s notoriously white, bro-centric” environment at its offices in Menlo Park, California, but let us ask: Why would Facebook’s headquarters be dominated by white males? Is it “a history of oppression and racism” that explains why only 2% of Facebook’s staff is black? Or, more logically, is it the case that Facebook — a company that now generates more than $12 billion in annual revenue, but didn’t even exist until 2003, when Zuckerberg created it in his Harvard University dorm room — hired the people who had the skills necessary for the company’s success? Was it merely a coincidence that these people are mostly white (or Asian) and male? Is there anything other than “racism” that can explain this? Can anything other than “oppression” explain why #BlackLivesMatter, an organization created to publicize a false narrative about the death of a criminal in a St. Louis suburb, has been associated with violent riots and blamed for inspiring the assassination of police officers?

Why are white people working at Facebook? Why are black people killing each other and blaming “racism” for their problems?

Isn’t it the case that half a century of misguided Democrat Party policies, ostensibly imposed to provide “the black community . . . the justice they deserve,” have made the lives of black people worse? Isn’t it a fact that the U.S. public school system, controlled by teachers unions loyal to the Democrat Party, have declined disastrously, impeding the education of young black people? Is it not obvious that the policies of the Democrat Party, creating and defending welfare giveaway programs that function as disincentives to work and marriage, have undermined the economic and social fabric of “the black community”? And is it not equally obvious that the only solution the Democrat Party proposes for the problems of “the black community” is to do more of the same? Isn’t #BlackLivesMatter really just another way of saying, “Vote Democrat”?

Well, maybe Zuckerberg’s Harvard education didn’t teach him to ask such questions. Skepticism toward the dogmas of liberalism is not an attitude one is likely to encounter in the Ivy League, and no matter what the percentage of Harvard-educated white guys at Facebook’s offices, probably none of them have ever read Thomas Sowell’s The Vision of the Anointed or Friedrich Hayek’s The Mirage of Social Justice, nor any other book that might inspire them to question the liberal worldview that American higher education systematically inculcates in young people.

The greatest success the Progressive Left has had is completely destroying all references to its role in creating and perpetuating the racial divisions in this country commencing at the beginning of the 20th Century. Even JFK’s poverty tour which ultimately resulted in LBJ’s “Great Society” initiatives took place in white Appalachia, not the Mississippi Delta. The racial animus which is so much a part of the narrative, does not exist except in the minds of Progressives and those whom they wish to enslave. Latest example here.

“BlackLivesMatter” is utter humbug, incorporating the notion that rogue police are a threat to the health and well-being of black youth. About 8,000 blacks fall victim to homicide in an average year and that accounts for about 4% of the attributed causes of death among black males. Fewer than 3% of those killings are homicides by police officers and only a small minority of those are at all questionable. Irrational risk assessment in and among a subpopulation amongst which purchasing lottery tickets is a popular pastime is forgivable if a cultural problem. For a corporate chief executive who can surely look up statistics and perform basic arithmetic, its inexcusable. What’s liberal education at Harvard (or, really, anywhere) worth these days? Mark Zuckerberg is providing evidence toward the proposition that the answer to that is diddly / squat.

It is the Progressive Left’s desire for power which animates these things obviously. Consider the recent kerfuffle at Mizzou: an entire university thrown into turmoil based upon three, count ’em, three alleged incidents of racial animus on a campus of 35,000 students. And those incidents could not be definitively attributed to Mizzou students. The entire Leftist agenda is predicated upon the fallacy of the hasty generalization.

“It doesn’t mean other lives don’t matter” Yes, it does, Zuckerberg, out here in reality. When a thug assaults a police officer, the non-black man’s life does matter. “Black Lives Matter” says that we’re all supposed to sit here and get violently chimped-out on by a criminal thug because, God forbid, people should hold black people accountable for their own actions like any other human being.

I see Facebook is becoming as big an anti-intellectual liberal sh!thole as Twitter.

Becoming? It already is. They also make money off the users which then goes to support many hard leftist causes. Twitter is the same way. No Christian or conservative should be on either one.

I think it’s fairly obvious that we live in The Age of the Jackass: Mark Zuckerberg, Donald Trump, Bernie Sanders, Bill Clinton, the Trudeau guy… The list could go on for some time.

Note that I don’t include Hillary Clinton—much as I despise her—for the same reasons I leave out Stalin and Mao. And Obama I consider some kind of hybrid, part jackass, part Jim Jones.

An opinion of Zuckerberg from Facebook Guru Crys:- “He stole the idea of a social network for college students form the Winklevoss twins.”

For liberals like Zuckerberg, the feelings generated by putting up a slogan far outweigh the actual reality. When you can yell, “Black lives matter!” while supporting Planned Parenthood, that kills more black lives than are born in New York (for example), then you are letting feelings trump reality. When you can yell, “Black lives matter!” but make it verboten to talk about the fact that 80% of homicides are committed by black males–mostly against other blacks–then you’re letting feelings trump reality.

And if you refuse to talk–ever–about what the lack of fathers in the home has done to the black family; about the poverty caused by the lack of these fathers and the dependence on Federal money; and about how the lack of these fathers feeds the gang culture, as young males look for male authority figures—then you’re just mouthing slogans to make yourself feel good, and you really don’t care about black lives at all.

“All lives matter” or “Black lives matter” doesn’t matter.

  12. Fail Burton
    February 26th, 2016 @ 12:52 pm

Yeah – there are “specific issues.” Too bad they can’t actually specify what they are beyond taking white racism for granted. The truth is black Americans illegally murder an average of 5,500 black Americans every year. Whites murder about 200 a year. Blacks murder about 450 whites a year. The police illegally murder how many blacks a year? 10? 15? The two most prominent cases of open season on blacks by whites resulted in a Latino being turned white and then exonerated and a police officer in Ferguson never being prosecuted. It’s not a surprise the very phrase “Black Lives Matter” is not only fraudulent but anti-due process and equal protection.

Failure defines itself, and that is the case here. Too bad Zuckerberg isn’t as smart as his employees, because we all know Zuckerberg has first hand knowledge of what happened come sundown every night at the intersection of Camp and Jackson in New Orleans in ’97 or at 1 AM at the Greyhound Station in Mississippi. Zuckerberg is down like that.

Zuckerberg needs to “participate” in some ride-alongs to wake up. In fact “Black Lives Matters” means precisely that other lives don’t. Someday our boy genius may create an algorithm which shows a criminally demographic spike interacts with the police a lot. The solution is to stop participating in crimes, not blaming “history.” Is that how we’re to try cases now? By history? Why not rewards points?

Nunez correctly points out that – using Zuckerman’s own logic – that Zuckerman himself is a racist. Or it may be he’s just encountered a demographic spike of success.

The Black lives matter movement believes it’s racist to say, indeed to believe that all lives matter equally. They insist that blacks are still as oppressed as they were 100 years ago. They assert that the value of ”black lives” must matter more than other lives as a form of affirmative action or reparations they are entitled to. They insist that White, Asian and one presumes Hispanic lives must ”matter” less to achieve ”justice”. I heard one of their leaders insist that you (she was being interviewed by Bret Baier) must make sacrifices. While I don’t think they use the term ”affirmative action” what their demands are is for hyper affirmative action to be enforced on every facet of our cultural and economic system. I suspect they are swimming against the tide.

What they don’t want to talk about is #AllBlackLivesMatters like those in Chicago and Detroit killed by the tens each weekend. Black on Black murder and crime. But you know the drill. Those deaths don’t fit the narrative.

You know, if the religious men of (((Zuckerberg’s))) co-ethnics were half as smart as everyone says they are, then they would do a better job of shutting up the (((secular “white” men))) that constantly explicitly hate on us Anglo-Americans. Because that kind of pisses us off.

Your belief seems to be that Obama is under the control of a hazy cabal, while you yourself retain free will.

My belief is that Obama is a genuinely bad person influenced by other bad persons, and that you have been taken in by conspiracy theorists.
