That’s Quin Hillyer’s description of John McCain, a description he thoroughly justifies with a grocery list of Cousin Maverick’s selfish tantrums:

Gerry Coffey once spoke at my Navy ROTC unit. He was incredible, ten times the man John McCain could ever be. Who is he and why have you never heard of him? He was also a POW but unlike McCain has not spent the last 40 years dining out on it.
How and why John McCain is such a bad and destructive politician is beyond the scope of this comment. But while conservatives can and must deal with a variety of ideologies, they cannot afford blatant opportunists like John McCain. I really hope we see the end of him this year.
